The interview day

Jewel woke so happy, she can't real explain why and can't even help being happier. She sang one of her best songs as she was heading to the bathroom. Her two siblings who where in the same room with her were woken up by her song because her voice was too loud. Their parents were woken up too, Boza looked at the time and it was 5:30am. "Oh my God, why is this girl making this type of noise by this time and waking everybody up? She asked herself and went to the bathroom. Knock knock at the bathroom,Jewel please lower your voice,it is too early and you are making noise" she said and entered the sitting room where her husband was already waiting for her for morning prayers."Why is sister Jewel singing so loudly this early morning?"asked Simi - Jewel's younger sister. "I don't know,we will ask her when she is out of the bathroom", said John - Jewels younger brother. Ok let's wait for her said Simi as she leaves their room to check their parents in the sitting room,because she heard their voices there. "Simi go and call your brother lets say our morning prayers since everyone is already awake",said Boza as she saw Simi entering the sitting room. Ok ma ,she called her brother to come for prayers at the sitting room. "Good morning everyone said Jewel as she enters the sitting room to pick up the book she read there in the night. Sorry for waking you up so early,Jewel apologys, I thought it was 6:30am when I woke up not knowing it was 5:30am". I have an interview this morning,so I want to be there if possible an hour before the interview starts. "Oh it's today,I totally forget you told me. You really have to get there early to avoid what happened the other time" we wish you success dear,you will get the job",Boss said. "Sister is it the interview that made you sing so happily?" asked Simi. "No lm just happy but I can't explain why",replied Jewel. She left her family at the sitting room and headed to the room to prepare and she left the house afterwards. Her family said their morning prayers and everyone prepared and left the house. It didn't take long before Jewel got a cab to the city,she prayed all through their way to the city for the interview to favour her. There was a little hold up which cleared within few minutes . She was happy the hold up did not delay to clear ,"oh thank God this hold up didn't take long to clear" she said. Jewel became tensed when she was close to where she was going.Please driver I will stop at the next bus stop. She came down and walked to the interview vanue, she tried to control her anxiety by singing . Some of the candidates for the interview were already there before she came. The interview started exactly by 9:00am. Jewel had enough time to calm herself down from anxiety before it was her turn to be interviewed. When she came out from the interview room,she knew that she did well. The panel that interviewed her had this facial expression that convinced her that she did well. She left happily to tell her family that she did well. All the candidates were told to check the notice board for the list of those that will be taken in two days.

Going home wasn't as smooth as when she was coming, a trailer fall and blocked the road. The holdup it caused was too much,." Hmmm thank God it didn't happen when I was still coming, it would have affect my interview",said Jewel. She got home and met no one at home,everyone has gone out. She entered their house with a spare key she took when she was living the house,took a warm bath and slept. She told her family all about the interview when they came back and they all prayed and waited for the result to come out.

Waiting for the two days to Jewel is like two years, she can't wait to start work at Feedwell restaurant which is one of the places she dreamed of working. She even dreamt that she started work there,and told her mother. "Jewel dear calm down ok,the way you are going about this your dream place of work ,you will be heartbroken if they didn't take you at last. Just tell yourself that if they take you fine and if they don't fine so that you will not be down emotionally if they don't take you ". Boza advised. "Ok mother I have heard you" replied Jewel. Deep down Jewel's heart, she knew she has gotten the job. The D-day finally came and she rushed out in the morning for the City, on getting to feedwell restaurant, she was told to wait that the result will be out soon. She went too early ,so she had to wait . After about 1hour plus,the result of the interview was brought out and placed on the notice board. She rushed to check if her name is there, oh yes yes she saw her name! "Thank you almighty God !,I knew you will not fall me" She ran out of the restaurant to take the good news to her family, she was almost at the park when she remembered she was supposed to ask them when she should start. She went back again to ask them when she will resume work. Next week Monday 7:30am you should be here,orientation will take place the first two days then you resume proper. She went home happily and told her family the good news,congratulations were coming from all directions. "We are happy for you dear",said her parents. "This is really a dream come through",they added. "Yes, you can say that again",said Jewel. "I'm so so happy, apart from my salary,I will learn so many things that will help me when I want to open my own restaurant",Jewel added. When I start,I will look for a small apartment that I can afford, because coming from here everyday will not be easy and the transportation from here to the city will consume my salary. "You are right my daughter,going from here for a long time will not be easy,but you will take your time to find a place to avoid mistakes",said Boza."You will be going from here for a while,then i will assist in looking for where you can leave in the city,if there is no body in your work place you can stay with ",said Ali-Jewel's father. Congratulations once again!" said her parents "Thank you"replied Jewel.
