Why I Became A Villian

They say every villain is the hero of their story… They are wrong! There is no such thing as heroes and villains, there is just evil. Evil, cruelty, that’s all I know, that's the only thing the world has shown me… Maybe I am wrong… Just maybe there is more to this world, other than the evil and cruelty I was forced to endure, but that doesn’t really matter anymore. A man is a mirror of the world he has been exposed to… Since I have seen the greatest evil the world has to offer, it is only natural I show the world evil in return. Hello there, I am Lucius Blackwell, let me tell you why I became the greatest villain of all time…

A-Rated Scavenger Guardian, Moon

Lucius and Ralph got into a limousine with Silver Ainsworth and Mira Rivera. Silver was a thirteen-year-old boy with dazzling spiky silver hair, silver pupils and a pale skin that complimented his color. His hero costume was practically a silver bodysuit similar to what soldiers outside the wall wore, but with some white plates around the shoulders, chest, groin area and knees.

He was considerably good-looking and was quite bold. As the car moved, he kept looking at Lucius with an amused smile on his face, but Lucius paid no attention to him and just watched the scenery through the window.

"A slave from outside the walls came into this city." Silver chuckled. "With the potential to become an S rated guardian, he defeated Alex Briggs, chose a member of the condemned Ashford family as his sidekick and went against the Hall family. Bro, you are all the entertainment I need."

Silver's laughs got to Ralph, who looked up at Lucius and was stunned to see a look of indifference in his eyes. He couldn't understand why Lucius would go so far to antagonize someone like just to help him. Ralph was so absorbed in the emotions plaguing him, a tear rolled down his left eye, catching everyone's attention.

"You shouldn't cry over small matters. Things will only get harder from here, instead of crying, get stronger and work harder so that you can fight back. Crying has never saved anybody from the realities of life." Lucius said.

Ralph nodded and wiped his eyes, while Silver smiled strangely. Lucius was truly a mystery to him, most times he is indifferent but when it comes to Ralph, he reacts.

"Young Master Ainsworth speaks and you ignore him. But this fat kid cries and you speak? Is he your boyfriend or something?" Mira snorted disdainfully. However, her words failed to arouse a response from Lucius.

Mira was a plain looking girl, probably a year younger than Silver. She had long brown hair and on her face was tattooed with confusing symbols.

"It's okay Mira." Silver shook his head before turning his attention to Lucius. "I find Dean Hall annoying, so I'll give you a little secret."

"This world favors the strong. As long as you can keep showing promise and strength, not even the Hall family will be able to touch you. However, even if you have a thousand successes, only one failure is needed to bring you down." Silver explained in a stern tone, which got Lucius's attention.

"Everything is going smoothly right now because you defeated Alex, and the government has high hopes for you. Give them a reason to think otherwise, and they will remember you as a slave who was picked up from the rotten streets of Ohio."

A tense atmosphere filled the room after Silver's speech as he and Lucius stared each other down, making Ralph uncomfortable.

"Failure… What's that?" Lucius responded before returning his attention to the scenery.

Buzz!

The tension in the room defused after Lucius spoke, leaving everyone in a state of shock. The confidence in his tone shook their spirits to its very core.

"Hahahaha! I like you." Silver laughed out, while carrying a look of interest in his eyes.

…..

The rest of the journey was quiet and after half an hour they arrived at a military base.

Lucius and Ralph exited the limousine only to see three more parked and waiting. Next to the helicopter with the name 'Aether Hawk' boldly engraved on it, was a white haired man dressed in a long white coat which completely covered the rest of his clothes, revealing only his white gloves and boots.

The Aether Hawk had a sleek, aerodynamic frame constructed from lightweight, ultra-durable materials. Its body was composed of a composite alloy known as Xenosteel, which provided both incredible strength and resilience against extreme conditions.

The helicopter's fuselage is smooth and streamlined, painted in a dull black color. Instead of conventional blades, the Aether Hawk utilized four semi-translucent, ring-shaped rotors infused with Aether crystals.

As they approached, Lucius was able to see past the messy hair of the man and noticed he wore a white face mask, which complimented his strange white pupils.

'What the hell is wrong with people and white in this city?' Lucius couldn't help but complain.

[Maybe it's the new fashion trend.] Lyxor chuckled.

The man's gaze was pinned on Lucius as his group arrived, and he said no word to them as they made their way into the helicopter before entering as well.

"Be careful, that is silent moon, an A rated guardian from Prime protectors. He is affiliated to the Hall family and has probably heard of your little tantrum." Silver whispered into Lucius's ears before playfully running past him.

[I did warn you not to get caught up in this mess. Now you have to look over your shoulders at all times] Lyxor said.

'As long as they cannot directly harm me, it's not a big deal. I am more concerned with this Silver Ainsworth, I think I am afraid of him.' Lucius shrugged.

[I agree. A noble man from a family famed for their knowledge and technological advancements with a disarming jovial personality is more than enough reason to be afraid. Men like this are the most dangerous in society] Lyxor agreed with Lucius's instincts.

'What's more terrifying is that he is just 13, we are just kids. I can only act and think matured because my childish emotions are suppressed, but he doesn't have you, yet he seems in perfect control. That kid is a monster.' Lucius felt goosebumps all over his body.

Pushing his thoughts aside, Lucius walked into the cabin and was greeted with plush, adjustable seating for up to ten passengers, with ample legroom and personal storage compartments. The interior was lined with LED lighting strips, providing blue lighting that made the cabin a more lively and each seat has access to a holographic display which allowed passengers to interact with onboard systems, access information, or enjoy media during their journey.

Lucius noticed other students were already seated, and amongst the students he noticed a resentful gaze directed at him. It was a black haired kid, dressed in dark clothes and strangely had is eyes painted black, giving him a mysterious yet alluring look.

"That's Dean Hall…" Ralph whispered into his ears before awkwardly walking over to an empty seat.

Hmph!

Lucius snorted disdainfully and walked over to the seat next to Ralph. As soon as they were seated the white haired man walked into the cabin, his eyes glance at the faces of everyone present but ignored Ralph.

"For those who do not know me, I am the A rated scavenger guardian, Moon and for this week's internship, we will be heading over to the Prime Protector's mining facility located in Virginia. There has been a heightened activity of mutated beasts, and we believe the reason for this is the discovery of a Blue death meteor." Moon explained in a soothing tone.

"We plan to set out in search of this, but while we are gone we need heroes who will organize the military forces in the area and back them up against the mutated beast, just in case they attack, and that's why we gathered the beast first year students of the Guardian academy."
