Chapter 18

After years New York's citizens had gotten used to demons, aliens, and dimensional beings attacks, to the point where depending on the attack they had different drills to protect themself, but even after all this, there still were the ones caught up in the middle of the attacks, the citizen who found themself in fights they had no way of surviving.

One of those citizens is a mother, using her full strength to carry his just-born son and daughter evading all the aliens from even touching a hair from their heads, using her body as a shield, doing everything she could to protect them.

But alas a human was a human, and just as she was about to reach one of the underground safe areas a trench coming from one of the alien trees pierced her stomach, in just a split second, fueled by pure adrenalin she moved her body faster than ever did, pushing her son in her daughter hands.

"RUN, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD RAN MIA." She said while tuning to the alien.

Her body was screaming at her to stop, to not move, to run, but her mind had already decided how she would die, as a mother protecting her kids.

" There is no need to." A distorted said from behind her.

'Heal.'

A golden light covered the woman's body while the wound on her side immediately closed.

The alien tried to launch another branch against the man but before it could hit a blue bubble covered the duo protecting them from any type of damage.

" Go to your kids, I will deal with this," I said while removing the hand I had placed on the woman's shoulder to heal her, not waiting for her answer I rushed towards the tree.

"THANK YOU." She shouted while lifting her kids back up and finally going down to the underground safe areas.

'Now, how do I deal with a big ass tree without being accused of arson?'

I immediately used Observe on the alien hoping to discover some useful information.

The Flora colossus is ruled over by the "Arbor Masters" who teach the children of the species with "Photonic Knowledge," which is the accumulated knowledge of the generations of the Arbor Masters, which is absorbed through photosynthesis; this is a highly advanced education, making the Flora Colossi geniuses.

'Thank you very much, how would I have ever known a tree is weak to FIRE without you?'

My mind is snapped back to reality by an incoming branch, not wanting to get pierced and wishing to save some mana, I evade the hit by going inside the mirror ID and going out a few seconds later with a bow in hand and with a knocked arrow.

I let the arrow fly hitting the big tree right in its right eye, making it screen in pain and stunning him.

'That elemental conversion trait would be really useful right now.' I thought while knocking another arrow

I continue kiting the big asshole, chipping away its health with each hit, after the nth arrow thought the big alien got angrier and called for reinforcement.

' I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING THE WEAKEST OF THEM ALL?'

Coming to that realization my brain began going overdrive thinking of a possible way I could come out of this situation.

I was pulled out of my mind by the shout of one of the aliens, having its torso split into pieces by a golden glowing fist that I very much recognized.

'FINALLY THE BIG GUNS HAVE ARRIVED.' 

As if that punch had been the signal several heroes from all districts of New York came rushing, Power Man, Spiderman, Power Woman(Jessica Jones), Daredevil, and several others, but none of the big guys came.

But with their help I was able to take a much safer background support role, helping the citizen with a quick heal, using my bow without having to be too near the enemy, and stealing some kills for free XP.

By the time a portal had opened and things began retracting back to where they came from I had levelled up once and gained several skill level-ups.

Happy to have saved several citizens and prevented the death of several others I was about to go inside the mirror ID when someone talked to me.

" So you are the new kid?" A deep masculine voice asks me.

I turn and see Power Man with his usual golden and black suit in full display, on his side are Iron Fist, Power Woman, and Daredevil.

In the distance, I could see an approaching blue and red-suited hero.

" Got a problem with a kid helping others?" I asked while using Mana Voice Camouflage to hide my true identity.

" Honestly? I do, you should be going to school and not being here dealing with this shit, I AM TALKING WITH YOU TOO WEBHEAD." He shouted to the now-listening Spiderman.

" I take your worry for me quite fondly Mister Power Man."

" Still going with the Mister thing?"

" You are MUCH older than me so why shouldn't I?"

" BURN," I shouted while doing a thumbs-up to Spiderman.

Seeing the hand he jumps from the wall he was attached to and continues.

"We both should call you that considering how we are similar ages."

"He is right Granpa Power Man."

"Damn," Spiderman said while holding back.

"Oh no, now we have two of them." Power man says while sighing.

" Granpa Fist, Granpa Devil, thanks again for the other day."

" Don't pull us into this thing now," Daredevil says while massaging his temples.

We both turn to Power Woman.

" Do it and you are both dead."

Silence stays for a second but it is broken by my voice.

" GRANDMA POWER WOMAN, FUKCING WORTH IT," I shouted, immediately escaping with the use of a quick mirror ID.

After I had gotten inside though, I noticed something I had been ignoring till now.
