Chapter 34
"We are here" Tony announced. They had arrived at the spot for their evening meeting.
Richard stepped out and Avril followed.
"Let's go," said Richard. On their way in Avril suddenly stopped.
"What's wrong?" Tony asked. Richard stopped and turned to his friend, Avril was bending down with his face suddenly pale now.
"Hi, what is going on?" he muttered close to him.
"I don't know, but I can't breathe. My whole body feels so hot" he groaned in pain.
Richard helped up as Tony led them to a seat. Avril pulled off his coat, trying to breathe.
"My chest, it hurts" he let out.
"Your chest? How can it do that when you don't have a heartbeat" Richard whispered.
Avril moved grabbing his phone failing Lina's number.
"Are you serious Avril, right now in such a situation to be thinking about her "Richard tried to take his phone but he pulled back.
"Back off," he said putting it to his ear after a few rings it was answered.
"Hello?"
Avril frowned, "Who is this?"
"Ahh, Lina isn't feeling well right now maybe call her later" Trina said.
"Where is she?" he asked.
"At the hostel, Lina isn't feeling well," she said.
"I will be there in an hour, wait for me outside," he said.
"Okay," Trina stammered.
He got up after hanging up, "Where the hell are you going?" yelled Richard.
"Am going to her, she's in pain" Avril managed to say.
"What?"
"Take care of the meeting I will explain later" Avril rushed off.

Tony frowned the moment his eyes laid on Trina who scowled back.
Avril ignored them, "Take me to her," he said.
They arrived at the room and he moved to her bed, she was covered up and was training in pain.
"Lina," he gently called.
Hearing his voice she slowly opened her eyes, calling his name.
"Avril" she smiled through her pale face. Feeling his touch on her face Lina breathed, "I must be dreaming but am glad it's you am dreaming of"
He sighed, "What happened"
She closed her eyes shuffling next to him, holding her he turned to Trina who had been watching.
She blinked, "This happens when she takes her drugs, usually it's not that bad but she missed a few the past weeks so her body is reacting this way"
"What drugs?" he asked.
"It's only her brother who knows since he has been injecting it himself "
"Her brother?"
"Mmm," Trina confirmed.
His eyes moved down to Lina who was sweating and groaning in pain. He would see visible dark lines appearing on one arm. It must be the one the drugs had been inserted. The dark line was spreading and the more they did, the worse Lina got.
"Both of you wait outside," he said.
"What?, I can't leave her alone with..."Trina tried to say but Tony held her arm and lead her out.
Alone now, he gently placed her back down, taking off her shirt., he took off her coat & tie and unbuttoned his shirt.
"Am sorry am doing this again Lina, but it's the only way to help" he whispered in her ear.
"Mmm," she let out.
Holding her hair back he revealed her neck, Avril bent down to it and filled it with kisses, Lina smiled through her pain enjoying the fleeting moment before his fangs pierced through her skin.
She cried in pain and he held her in place, starting to suck. Lina moved holding on to him as she felt him suck on her.
And with every suck he took away her antagonizing pain.
After he was done, Lina started breathing normally and the dark veins were gone. Wiping her face he laid her back down.
"What have they been doing to you?" he sighed. He could feel the poison move in his body.
"Tony" he called and Tony walked in.
"Yes, boss"
"Get the car ready, we are leaving," he said.
After Tony left Trina walked in.
"How is she now?" she asked.
Avril stroked Lina's now sleeping face, "Better, tell me how long she has been getting this injection?" he asked.
"Ahh, since I met her she has been getting them. And they got worse every time. Even when she pleaded for her brother he said it was for her sickness, which in truth we all don't know" she answered.
"Is it the older brother?" Avril asked.
"Yeah, he is a strict one," she said.
"Alright, thank you," said Avril, he got up covered Lina and carried her out.
