Chapter 23

Archie wanted to step forward to ask who he was but Harry stopped him.

"Brother wait, his face looks familiar" whispered Harry.

"So? Who is he & why is he holding her like that" he whispered back.

Avril turned away from the now whispering brothers to Lina.

"Are you okay?" he asked touching her face.

Lina trying to push herself from his hold failed and looked up at him, "Am fine they were not hurting me" she replied.

"Am not sure about that , I heard you scream" he said.

"Oh, I was acting so they could not hit me for real"

"So they do hit you," he said.

She chuckled, "No never, maybe scolding me but never hitting me"

Avril glanced at the two brothers who stopped and stared back.

"Okay," he said finally letting her go.

Archie stepped forward, "I know you're an influential person but can I know why you are in our home and holding our sister inappropriately? "

"You're the president of the Alexander businesses and the most handsome man in the country. You have no rumours or controversial issues around you and....."Archie and the other's stares stopped Harry from going ahead.

"Lina why did you leave without saying anything?" he turned back to her.

She blinked, "Oh... I had some things to do"

He gazed at her and said"Your lying"

"Huh?" the three siblings exclaimed.

"Your lying, did I do something to unnerve you that you can't say? If it's about the kiss am re...." Lina clasped her hands over his mouth, she chuckled glancing at her two stunned brothers.

"He kissed you?" said Harry.

"He did WHAT? " Archie moved forward but Lina stepped in front of Avril while Harry held back his brother.

Lina nervously laughed, "His just joking don't get angry"

"Am not in any mood of making jokes right now Lina. I just want to know why you left" he grabbed her shoulders turning her back to him, "Or is it because I yelled at you last night?".

Archie gritted his teeth, "Lina explain yourself right now" he shouted.

Lina flinched from the sound and Avril frowned. Archie stood still when his eyes met with his. Something in his emotionless eyes scared him and he fell silent.

Ignoring them again he returned to Lina who sighed pulling herself away from him.

"There is nothing wrong boss, I only had a lot of things to do and I could not say anything before I left was cause you were not out of the bathroom" she said. "So please don't worry about it".

He sighed, "Okay".

She nodded turning to her brothers, "Archie, Harry this is my boss at the company Mr Alexander" She turned to Avril, "They are my two brothers"

He frowned, "So they are the two who lost you that night"

Lina's eyes popped out in awe, "No, it was Harry who did" she said wondering how he could still think of that after getting Archie so angry.

"Am Harry Williams, nice meeting you Mr Alexander" he smiled.

Avril nodded, "This is Archie my older brother," Lina said.

Archie glared at Avril who did the same, holding Lina's hand he moved.

"Excuse us," said Avril but Archie grabbed her other and pulled back.

"Sorry but we were in a meeting with our sister so you can't take her away" he said.

Harry moved back watching, Avril finally let go after he noticed Lina's discomfort.

"Lina meets me at the office in half an hour," he said.

She nodded and he left.

Archie pulled his sister closer. "Why is such a man interested in you?" he asked.

She breathed, "His not, it's just work-related"

"That can't be possible, he has his assistant Tony who does almost everything for him. And the other is his long-time friend and vice president of Alexander Companies, Richard Walters"

"Can you stop doing that, someone will think you're a stalker" Lina yelled.

Harry scoffed, "They are my idols and seeing you two treat him that way was disappointing. It's like you don't know who he is"

"Shut up," Archie said.

Harry frowned, "But if you fail to let sister go see him then she might lose her job and I might never get the chance of attending one of his events or enter his home"

Lina raised her eyebrow in shock, "That's too big a dream Harry and his home isn't so special, it's cold & lonely you won't like it"

"Ahh, you entered it?". She nodded, "But it's so huge you would get lost before you even get to his bedroom"

"His bedroom? Tell me more" Harry got close to his sister.

She snickered, "Huge your room is half of it," she noticed Harry's excitement and continued, "And his living room had the best seats I have ever seen although I think he changed them since I stained one"

"What? Why?" shouted Harry.

"It was an accident and he said it was okay, but then I stained his bedroom carpet too with my injury" she smiled, "but he still said it was okay"

Harry smiled too, "Guess he a soft ball underneath all that coldness"

Lina frowned, "Not really, his sometimes cold, soft, complicated and other times just calm and rude"

Archie grabbed both siblings, "You have some explaining to do Lina, & you Harry go find something else better to do"
