Chapter 10

"Why are you calling, Tony already sent me the files I will work on it tomorrow," said Richard.

"We have a problem," Avril said frowning.

"What happened?"

"This woman is drunk again & acting foolish" he said watching Lina giggle at him from across the table.

"Huh, you mean Lina. How did she get drunk?".

"She drank the whole bottle" he answered.

Richard sighed, "I didn't mean that but wait... How is this my problem, if you offered her alcohol then take care of her yourself".

Avril scowled and hang up. Turning his eyes back on Lina who finally got up.

"Sit down" he said and Lina dropped back down.

"You know you're a jackass and it's sad cause you have a pretty face. But after buying me this expensive food and letting me drink such nice wine I will forgive you". She said

"Forgive me for what, it's you who should be apologizing," Avril said.

Lina scoffed, "Still arrogant, but that's okay am happy now so I won't get angry"

Avril got up, "Let's go "Lina got up but dropped back down.

He frowned and turned to one of the waiters

"Help her," he said.

After getting into the car Avril blinked.

"Something is wrong with me," he said.

"What now Avril, can you stop bothering me" Richard yelled.

"Do you know her address?" he asked.

"Oh, she's staying at the dorms of the university. But if you go there right now what will the students & management say seeing you drop a drunk girl this late" he said.

"Don't I own it?" he said.

"So? That doesn't mean you can break the rules. Yes your family owns the university but think of your reputation" said Richard.

Avril felt a headache and breathed.

"Follow me," Avril said as he stepped out.

"But I have four legs how can I move" she cried.

He turned and glared back at her, "Get out of the car now" he said.

Lina pouted and staggered out of the car but her footing messed up she lost her balance.

Avril moved catching her before she could hit the fall.

Lina laughed, "You caught me".

His cold blue eyes glanced down at her blushed face.

"Why are you so pretty with cold eyes, it's warm & sad at the same time" she muttered touching his face.

He grabbed her arms and carried her up heading to the house.
