Law III

IM gently lowered Xian's unconscious body onto a bench outside the courtroom. "The instant kill ability also caused the whale to explode," he explained to the others, his voice tinged with worry.

The Unveiled family looked at IM, their faces pale. They understood the immense power Xian wielded, but they were also concerned about the toll it took on him.

Dove showed them her phone, her face grim. "The news is already spreading on Bwritter," she said, her voice barely a whisper.

The news of Asmar's sudden and inexplicable death had sent shockwaves through the city. Speculations and conspiracy theories ran rampant, with some even whispering about supernatural intervention or a possible poisoning.

Dove tapped her fingers nervously on the table, her expression grim. "We need to be careful," she warned, her voice low and urgent. "Asmar's death will raise a lot of questions, and we can't afford to attract any unwanted attention."

Yolan, however, seemed less concerned. "But hey, at least Xian can now kill people with his mind!" she exclaimed, a hint of excitement in her voice.

"But can you believe it?" Irune exclaimed, her eyes wide with disbelief. "Asmar was in league with a demon!"

"It was a demon, not a devil," IM corrected her, his tone precise.

"What's the difference?" Irune asked, genuinely curious.

"Devils never work with humans," IM explained. "They tempt humans to stray from the righteous path, leading them towards sin and destruction. Demons, on the other hand, can be summoned and controlled by those who possess the knowledge and power."

A chill settled over the room as the implications of IM's words sunk in. The idea that Asmar had been in league with a demon was both terrifying and sobering. It meant that the Seers were not just skilled in magic, but were also willing to consort with dangerous entities from the Otherworld.

"This changes everything," Vill said, her voice grim. "If Asmar was able to summon a demon, it means the Seers are far more dangerous than we initially thought."

"We need to be more cautious," Dove agreed, her eyes narrowed in concentration. "We can't underestimate them anymore."

"For now, let's just wait for Xian to wake up," Yolan said, gently poking Xian's cheek. "He'll need our support more than ever."

The group nodded in agreement.

The Unveiled Family huddled around Xian, their faces etched with concern as he lay unconscious on the bench. Dove gently placed a hand on his forehead, checking for signs of fever.

"He's just exhausted," IM explained, his voice a low rumble. "Using that much power takes a toll on the body, especially for someone who's still new to it."

"Why can't he just imagine himself not being tired?" Aca asked, a hint of impatience in her voice.

"It's not that simple," IM replied, shaking his head. "His power is linked to his emotions and his willpower. If he's not truly convinced that he's not tired, the illusion won't hold."

I awoke with a start, disoriented and confused. I found myself in an unfamiliar apartment, the unfamiliar furniture and decor disorienting. But what really caught my attention was the massive, pulsating brain floating before me.

"Hoi!!" a voice boomed through the room, startling me further.

"Huh?!" I looked around, searching for the source of the voice.

"In front of you!"

My eyes widened as I realized that the voice was coming from the giant brain.

"Yes, me! The brain!" it exclaimed. "I've been talking to you all these years, but you've never replied!"

I blinked, my eyes widening in astonishment. A talking brain? I thought, my mind struggling to grasp the absurdity of the situation.

"Um... hi?" I replied, my voice hesitant. "I can hear you now. But... why are you a brain?"

The brain pulsated, its surface shimmering with an iridescent glow. "Long story short," it said, its voice echoing through the room, "I'm your true brain. You were born with a unique condition that separated your consciousness from your physical body. I've been residing in this realm ever since, observing and guiding you from afar."

"I'd sooner believe a spoon could carve a hole in a mountain than believe you," I retorted, skepticism lacing my voice.

"I am your true power!" it exclaimed, its voice booming through the apartment.

"That's not true! He's my real power. He's my Harbinger, and you're just..." I trailed off, unsure how to categorize this strange entity.

"We are separate beings, connected by three distinct aspects!" the brain boomed, its voice echoing through the room.

"What is it then? A trinity?" I asked, intrigued by the concept of three interconnected beings.

"NO! But YES!" the brain boomed, its voice echoing through the room.

Geez, this brain can't stop yelling, I thought, rubbing my temples.

"Alright, explain it to me, Mr. Brain," I said, trying to keep my voice calm.

"I am you, and you are me, and he is me, and I am him, and he is you, and you are me!" the brain declared, its voice filled with a manic energy.

"Uh... could you maybe explain that in human terms?" I asked, a headache forming.

"Well, then," the brain said, its voice taking on a calmer tone, "let me explain it this way. There are three aspects to your being: the physical body, the soul, and the power. I am the embodiment of your power, your connection to the unseen world. IM is the embodiment of your soul, your emotions, and your willpower. And you, Xian Ying, are the embodiment of your physical body, the vessel through which we manifest in the material world."

"We are three parts of a whole," it continued, "interconnected and interdependent. When you are weak, I am weak. When IM is suppressed, your potential is limited. But when all three of us are in harmony, your power is limitless."

The brain paused, its pulsating light dimming slightly. "But let me ask you something, Xian Ying," it said, its tone curious. "Why is it that only your Harbinger is outside of your body, even after evolving? Isn't that unusual?"

"Not necessarily," I replied, recalling my encounter with the albino Seer and his Harbinger. "I met another Seer, a young boy, and his Guardian was also outside of his body."

"That's different!" the brain exclaimed, its voice rising in alarm. "That's not how it's supposed to work!"

"So?" I asked, confused by the brain's outburst. "What's so unusual about that?"

"Because your power is so unique that it split into three separate entities: you, me, and him!" the brain exclaimed, its voice echoing with frustration.

"So... you're saying I'm too powerful, and my power split into three parts?" I asked, trying to clarify.

"Yes!" the brain confirmed, its voice filled with a mixture of awe and annoyance.
