1st Few weeks 5.2

Qwen pounced though the window like it was made of paper. He already decided to do a suprise attack and startle his enemy.

"Suprise mother f****ers!"

The four 3 and a half foot tall greenish brown colored goblins all squealed in suprise and anger. Their faces instantly contorted in anger at being scared by a pitiful human. Humans were lunch, not things to be feared in their minds. They bared their jagged fangs and unsheathed their daggers.

Qwen didn't wait for an invitation. He extended the staff and used fire bolt instantly towards a goblin in the kitchen. A 2 foot a flaming orange ball arrived in front of the goblin instantly. The speed too was great for the beast to do anything except put its pitiful arms up. They were instantly disintegrated before tge bolt smashed into its body.

"SHRIIIIIEEE!

The goblin squealed in a pain. Its body bursting into flame like a matchbox before the flames dissapeared in seconds and the monster turned into dust.

Qwen stared at the corpse burning in awe. He actually cast real magic and its affects were devastating! He wasn't able to be sided tracked for too long because 3 daggers were quickly approaching.

One dagger had pierced his leg and two others were going toward his chest and throat.

He quickly turned his body to the side while hitting both goblin wrists holding the two daggers. Their joints snapped and the goblins squealed painfully ,dropping both daggers. His reaction speed was higher than these weak level 1 monsters and their physical bodies were too weak.

Since they were in range he cast spark to shock their body. They began spasming and foaming out of their mouths. He then punched both in the chest and cast ice touch on them. The ice slowly spread from their chest to the rest of their bodies.

He cast wind blast. The freezing torso didn't stand a chance with powerful wind gust and blasted to bloody holes in their bodies. Green blood and viscera blasting out of the back of their bodies. The life left their eyes immediately as the fell backwards lifeless.

He cast another wind blade at the goblins throat just as it was beginning to pull its blade out of his leg and decapitated it.

He removed the dead goblin's dagger from the back of his calf muscle. Blood squirted out of the wound like a faucet. Just as Qwen was beginning to panic, the blood had already began to slow down. Then, a seconds later turned into a trickle before effectively stopping. The hole was still there but the blood loss eased up dramatically. He quickly took off his tie and bandaged up his leg like he had learned online.

He had received a chime and smiled.

He could feel the pain from the wound already subsiding. This was amazing!

Hearing another scream upstairs, Qwen gasped and dashed towards the noise upstairs. He hated himself in that moment for getting complacent again. A battle flaw he needed to correct and soon!

A few seconds later he had come upon a grisly scene straight out of his worse nightmares.

He found the father and mother in their bedroom. The only problem was they were completely lifeless. Qwen stood in the doorway frozen. The only sound was from the monsters noises of their chewing and bones breaking as they were devoured the husband. The mothers body was being defiled by one of the monsters.

Shocked, Qwen would he would never forget what he was witnessing. These monsters were monsters in all the real sense. He thought at minimum they would only indiscriminately kill. Not defile bodies too! This was far from a video game.

In another corner of the room were two teen girls that appeared to be twins. Both had long passed out from the scene. Their minds could no longer handle what had happened in front of them.

At that moment Qwen lost all emotion and reason. He wanted these things to die! They were were monsters through and through. They needed to be erased. Not from here but from any kind of existence. He wouldn't never spare one of these things. They must be destroyed on sight!

He pointed his staff at the monsters and fired, over and over again with an emotionless face. He fired until he was completely out of mana.

Qwen walked out of the home with the two girls in tow. He gently laid them down in the yard and watched as their home went up in flames. Qwen was distraught. He couldn't remove the scene from his mind. It haunted his very being.

What could be so cruel so evil? It was their very nature. These monsters didnt kill. No they tortured, maimed, and commit all kinds of atrocities to watch their prey die in the worse way. He looked at the two unconscious girls in shame at not being able to get there sooner.

He toyed with his enemy and took the whole incident as if it were a game. Qwen knew he could have killed the go lins sooner but he wanted to test spells. People had died because he was negligent.

It seems like life had woken him up so to speak. It showed him what reality really was. How much of a comfortable bubble his whole life had been.

He had almost taken his life for something so trivial. He was never put on the brink of real survival true desperation, like say a refugee fleeing war. Now here two little girls will have to live this way every day from now on.

The two girls looked to be around 15 years old. They had lost everything. They had done nothing wrong in this entire universe except be born during the integration.

He purposely burned their homes down. How could what happened to their parent be explained? Who would believe their parents were ravaged by actual monsters?

No ones that's who. Even with proof it still wouldn't be believed. No one in their right minds would let themselves beleive it.

Only... this was happening. It was happening to others right now. People were dying. He looked at the girls and vowed to check on them when he was finished. If they didn't have family then he would take them in if he could. It would have to be within this year. He had grabbed the fathers wallet before he left and found a picture with the little girls full names on the back of it.

Qwen analyzed the robe using the System.

He put on the robes and felt the changes. He once again felt his mind sharpen, his thought become more clearer. His senses even enhanced slightly.

He didn't feel excited though, Qwen was still in a bit of shock. He couldn't stand there anymore though. He became extremely stoic in that moment and somthing in Qwen had changed. More people were in danger.

<Mission complete. Do you want to go to the next mana Anomaly location?>

"Yes!"

Once again Qwen blinked out of existence in a purple light. This time he was prepared this time. he wouldn't let his guard down and get distracted. He would locate the family first and then ensure their safety. Even above his own. They had to integrate with the system. The sooner the better. That way they would be able to protect themselves. Hes their only shot at survival.

Hours later a transparent light flashed into the living room of a large dark blue home. A man appeared with slash marks and blood dripping from various wounds on his clothes. He had the look of a mad man. Various different colored blood dripped from his body.

Qwen blinked into existence on his hands and knees. He hurried up and accepted his level ups, his wounds on his body began healing nearly instantly. Even the normal euphoria wasn't there. His wounds were very grave. He nearly died. Qwen pushed himself. He didn't wait or waver. The moment he saved the person or family and killed all of the monsters he instantly went to the next Mana Anonmly.

He had lost his rational thought for a while and ignored the pain he was feeling. He just fought and spammed his spells against his foes. He was able to attract the enemies to himself by creating a lot of ruckus. When he arrived. He had run out of mana many times and had to resort to his staff or his Tai chi.

He would be the first to admit that he nearly died many times but was able to overcome his limits and was able to improve every battle. Had it not been for that he would have died many times over. His rewards were really great. On missions he obtained Shop points. Apparently they were items that gold could not buy in his shop options.

He checked his final battle rewards for the 6 other Anomalies. He asked the system to just in form him of his level advance and his rewards.

Qwen added 5 to END, WIS and 10 to INT. He became more hearty. He had to always increase INT due to his spells and his learning gift are based on it also. WIS is also interesting. Many times he sensed danger when he ran our of mana and had to battle unarmed. He felt a weird energy as he fought. I was very minute but definitely something was there. He would have to apply more time to study it in the future.

Finally arriving back at his home. He walked upstairs to his trusty shower and washed off the blood and guts off of his body and clothes. As he showered he checked his skills to see how they had improved.
