//Can we get on with the story now? <Ruiki>
//No, I have to explain one last thing! <Bella>
//But, Author, they can just figure out the plot of the original story as we go, right? I want to leave this grassy hill so badly, we're wasting time here!
//It's only been two hours, we have plenty of time. Don't you remember that, in the last run through, didn't you cry in a ditch for the entirety of the first day after accidentally meeting some bullies that dragged you off the hill? The only reason that hasn't happened this time is because you're just laying down, so they probably didn't see you. Anyways, my point is, you did nothing on the first day last time, so let me continue.
//Y-you! You would expose me? In front of all these readers?
//Yes, now, let me talk. The author agrees with me, right?
A/N: Yes, I do, so go and finish quickly. I feel the same way as Ruiki, and so I want to start writing the actual story now. Finish all your info dumping in, at the very most, this chapter.
//Yes sir!
'Wow, the difference between when she's talking to us and when she's addressing the author...' <You>
//Hmm? <Bella>
'Stone face, stone face, stone face, stone face...' <You>
//Alright, now onto the plot of the story.
'Whew! That was close!' <You>
//The story first starts off with a village being razed by a local sect, I know, pretty generic right?
The MC of SLMR happens to be one of the only two survivors of that village, the other being his baby "sister", who was his dad's best friend's child that had just been born before the sect attacked.
The MC runs into the woods and lives in the forest for 5 years, taking this time to raise his "sister" up.
Then, after the MC turns 10, whilst his sister is 5, they leave the forest in search of better living conditions.
An old couple happens to come across the two starving children, and take pity on them, taking them into their house and giving them food and new clothes.
But, after the MC wakes up after one of the first warm nights he's had in a long time, he realizes that he's been had.
He finds that the old couple and his sister have disappeared, and it seems that, after sensing that his sister had been born with a heavenly realm talent, the old man, who had once been a cultivator himself, had sold the MC's sister to one of the biggest sects in the entirety of the world, as she was a rare case no matter where one went.
Anyways, the MC falls into despair due to his own powerlessness, blah blah blah, before finally meeting his mentor, a giant snake that taught him about martial arts, how to harness qi, how to activate his dao beast, etc.
Then, after 20 years of training in seclusion, the MC emerges as a new man after upgrading his dao beast to a heavenly realm one by using the core that his snake mentor had dropped after it died, very touching stuff by the way, that scene. Also, did I mention the fact that the snake also gave him a sword that should have only been able to be found in the heavenly realm?
Anyways, the MC then takes the admission exam to join another sect, the usual stuff happens, blah blah blah, a little clash with the demonic cults here and there, blah blah blah, an inheritance site filled with dangers and backstabbing "friends, blah blah blah, until finally, the MC reaches the heavenly realm.
There, he learns that "Murim", was actually the heavenly realm, and that the earthly realm that he had been born in had only been one of the many worlds that fed into this heavenly realm.
And in this heavenly realm, the true "Murim", everyone, no matter what they looked like, was an accomplished cultivator that had been one of the few from their earthly realms that had been able to survive the heavenly tribulation.
Anyways, afterwards, there's more story stuff with the MC getting more powerful and powerful, with him joining the Murim alliance, which is the righteous faction, before everything turned to shit because the demonic cults had, for some reason, banded together and started attacking the entirety of Murim.
Being the MC, the MC goes and joins the fight against the demonic cults, in which, in one battle, he sees a fleeting figure that he instinctively knows is his sister that he had lost all those years ago.
He realizes that the old man, all the way back then, had actually sold his sister to a demonic cult, and that she was actually the demonic cultivator that tore through all the battlefields that she had fought in, being one of the most powerful existences in history aside from the select few that had been able to survive long enough with a bonded dao beast instead of being born with one.
Well, afterwards, there was more generic stuff, as the MC finds out that he is weaker than his sister, and so he tempers his body, cultivation, and fighting style in the battlefield with only one goal on his mind, sharpening the knife that is the MC even quicker.
And eventually, after building up the reputation of being one of the strongest scribes in the Murim Alliance, he goes and battles his sister, who had killed more than half of the righteous army by now.
There's a heartfelt battle, blah blah blah, and finally, it ends with the MC stabbing his own sister through the heart.
The MC then falls to his knees before running from the battlefield in tears, moping for a total of 2 years before all the heroines are able to find him and pull him back up to his feet.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this, but the MC meets a lot of powerful girls during his journey to the top of Murim, and they all become heroines, just classic generic stuff.
Well, in the end, after he picks himself back up, he destroys all the corruption in the Murim Alliance after finding out that a part of why he killed his sister was because he had been manipulated into doing so by one of the top guns, and finally, he becomes the big daddy of the Murim World.
The end.
//Welp, we actually went over the word limit, and so, the real story will start next chap.
"..."
//Did she not hear me?
"..."
//Well guys, there'll be one more chapter today, documenting the start of my journey. See y'all then!
A/N: Hmm... I wonder where Bella went?
