if only things were different

i was angry, the emperor was selfish. he was never there for me. he didn't want me to see or speak to the only friend that i had at the palace ever since my arrival. i ran down the palace halls. since the war was over most of the maids and other people at the castle went home to see their families and the castle was practically empty. tears were rushing down my cheeks.

i ran out of the castle and ran towards the stable where i saw my hoarse. i mounted her and began riding into the forest. the forest was evergreen and tranquil. the deeper i got into the forest, the further away i was from the castle. and the less likely it was for somebody to find me. i finally stopped and dismounted my horse when i reached a cliff. i couldn't hold it in any longer. i screamed at the top of my lungs "WHY!! WHY!! WHY!! WHY DOES ALL OF THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME"

Edgar's POV

i was about to go look for Lilith until i saw her running down the halls crying. i followed her but made sure that she didn't see me. she ran to the stables, took her horse and started running into the forest. i also went and took my horse and followed her. all sorts if ideas were rushing through my head, what had happened to her, she was she crying, where was she going.

Linden's POV

upon seeing her rush out of my room crying i couldn't bear the pain. i didn't mean to make her cry. i wished i could go back in time. i wished i hadn't told her that i would never love her nd that she would never become my woman. i rushed out of my room and tried to follow her but i saw Edgar following her. what could he want now. i found him running towards the stable, taking a horse and running into the forest. so i followed him and did the same

i found them in the forest hugging each other. she was crying in his arms while he was hugging her

Edgar's POV

i found Lilith at the end of the forest. she was screaming and crying. i immediately ran towards her and hugged her. she hugged me back and started crying in my arms. what could have made her this sad.

Linden's POV

i left my horse in a place where they wouldn't see and i continued my journey by foot until i say them. i saw Lilith in Edgars arms. she was crying and Edgar was hugging her he seemed to enjoy it. at that very moment by blood began boiling and my hands were curled up into a fist. i wanted to rip Edgar into shreds and push him off the cliff right in front of Lilith. then Fuck her so she would beg me to stop and scream my name. i wanted to see her pitiful begs while i fucked her. i wanted to see her face

i just moved away because all those things would have happened if i had stayed. i had to find a way for Lilith to love me and hate Edgar. i had to bring Edgar down. i need Lilith. she's mine and not Edgar's

Lilith's POV

Edgar was there for me. he comforted me. if only we had met at a different time we would be together. but why was i thinking like that. Edgar was supposed to be my friend and not my lover. "Lilith i have to tell you something" he said i looked at him "since lindens birth, my mother abandoned me. i was punished for the smallest of maters "(AN//he told her about his childhood--from the chapter "Edgar's story) said Edgar.

after hearing his story, i felt sad for him. he didn't get any love from his parents and was left to starve for some days. how could he bear all of this at such a young age. i was shocked and suddenly everything went blank i had fainted from all the sadness and all that had happened. I couldn't bear the pain of Edgar's story and what my life had become.
