Crying in silence

as soon as Edgar left i started crying, is this how its gonna be i thought to myself. i didn't want to be mistreated by the future emperor. i wanted to live a peaceful and quiet life practicing medicine and becoming a doctor. i was tired and all this crying was making keeping my eyes open harder. after that i just blacked out

i woke up the following morning at around 7am to the warm sunshine shining against my pale skin. my maids had opened the satin curtains and they had brought me my tea and a platter of fruits. i knitted my brows and asked them why they had brought the breakfast to my room instead of me going down to the dining room. they told me that the crown prince was currently at the dining table with his lover lady Martha Evelyn. " a mistress, he had a mistress and was already engaged to me: i thought however that did not anger me because it was common for princes and kings to have consorts. after eating my breakfast i bathed and got dressed in a pale green robe, my hair was in a braided ponytail. thinking back to when i was on my way to the palace i saw that there were gardens and i thought that they might have medicinal herbs. i asked the maids if i could go there and they said that the garden was built for lady Martha and it was off limits to anyone else. i felt disappointed.

"however, the crown prince did say that if you wanted, you could go to the palace library" said Taryl. i let out a sigh of relief and gave her a smile " that's awesome, I'm leaving right away "i said and rushed out of the room
