Chapter 8

 ~The Confession~

"What are you doing!" Mokee pushed him away, obviously with a shocked expression on.

"Why are you crying?" He asked rather.

"I'm not crying..." She looks away.

"Then how do you explain those tears streaming down from your eyes?" He pointed to her face.

"It's not tears! It's just...it's...my eyes are just sweating!" She snaps, wiping her tears.

He smiles secretly.

"Monkey listen, An expert in everything was once a beginner, you should never intimidate yourself because you can always start from zero to become a hero" He put his palm on her cheek, wiping the tears.

"You always act tough all the time but who knew you are this much of a crybaby. You shouldn't let anyone see this embarrassing side of yours, it's fine with me seeing it but you'll be in big trouble if someone else were to see it. You look so ugly" He snickers. Mokee slaps his hand away from her face.

"Why are you here, you don't have any scene today?" She asked.

"I was bored. I came here to have fun and I got to witness an ugly hilarious scene the moment I did. The great Monkey was crying" He replied jokingly.

"I told you I wasn't crying!" She snaps again.

"See, sure. Your eyes were just sweating. You could have used the word 'urinating' that would sound more believable" He sarcastically said. 

Mokee stands.

"You...don't you dare tell anyone about this! If you do, you're dead!" She threatens, then runs away from there.

"It'll be our little secret. I promise!" Cove shouted after her.

"Why does he have to see me at my worst..." Mokee mumbles as she runs away.

Watching her running, Cove couldn't help chuckling.

LATER.

"ORION!" Cove waves excitedly at Orion as he got down from the van.

"Oh! Cove! Why are you here? You don't have any scene today?" Orion asked in surprise as he approaches him.

"To see Monkey" He replied simply on getting to him. Both stood by the van.

"Monkey? You mean Mokee? Why?" Orion asked surprised.

"I was bored. I thought I should see her, maybe to tease her a little" He replied itching the back of his hair. Orion gave him a suspicious look.

"Do you like her?" He asked carefully. Cove's brows creases.

"No way! She isn't my type of girl. She's shabby and doesn't have any sense of fashion. Why would I like a lady like her?" He says.

"Then why would you wanna tease her? Why are you taking interest in her?" Orion frowns.

"I don't know" He shrugs.

"She's just too different from the ladies I've met. How should I put it, she's weird and unique. She's the first lady to ever scold me off, she is the first lady to figure out my insecurities, she seems to know too much about me even without telling her. I just can't help but be curious about her" He added sneering.

"You do...have a lot to say about her" Orion says. Cove chuckles.

"So, after knowing her and satisfying your curiosity then what next? What do you plan to do with her? Date her? F**k her?" Orion questioned.

"What's wrong with you bro, you know me. You know my style" Cove answered.

"Just answer my question. What's your plan with her?"

"I don't know yet. She seems quite feisty, she certainly won't be easy to deal with" Cove replied. Orion sighs.

"But why are you here by this time? You have a shoot today?" Cove asked.

"Yeah, I have later. For now I came early to deliver some things"

"What?" Cove took a look inside the van only to see boxes of pizzas there.

"Wow! It's pizza!!" He grins.

"HELLO EVERYONE! ORION BROUGHT PIZZA!!!" Cove announced to everyone at the location getting their attention.

"You must all be weary and hungry from working all day. I got you all something so why don't you take a short rest?" Orion said to all present with a smile.

"I guess we have to go on another break then. Everyone! Go fill yourself up!! Orion, a big thank to you!" The Director pats him with a smile while Orion also smiles back.

"Enjoy Director" He says excusing him.

"Mokee" Orion waves to Mokee who also waves back smiling. He went to her. Cove was about following but then he felt a hand pulled him back.

"Cove" Jemma smiles sweetly at him.

"You came" She says.

"Oh, yeah I did. How's shooting?" He asked, taking a peek at Orion and Mokee who are happily chatting at a distance.

"It's hard, I was actually feeling exhausted. How about we go out for a chilled drink?" Jemma asked with a gummy smile but Cove on seeing Orion leaving with Mokee quickly declines.

"You should drink alone. I'm busy" He says and before she could utter a word, he left her running after Orion and Mokee.

"What's wrong with him! Why is he not paying any attention to me!!" Jemma stormed her feet on the floor.

Cove, Orion and Mokee sat under a shade, it is kind of an isolated place so they were the only one there.

"Could you remove something from my face please?" Mokee said to Cove who just stares at her nonstop, smiling at the same time.

"What, tell me I'll gladly do it?" Cove smiles more.

"Your eyes" Mokee replied making him chuckles.

"It's strange how I suddenly derive this kind of fun by just staring at you. Monkey, were you always this pretty? Since when have you been so pretty uh? Last year? Last month...orrr today?" He said surprising her.

"Are you high?" Mokee asked.

"I think I am. Can you sober me up?" He replied naughty. Mokee couldn't help scoffing.

"Crazy..." She mutters shaking her head.

"Mokee here" Orion gave her a pizza which she collect with a wide grin.

"Thanks Orion" She took in her lower lip, taking a bite.

"Wow, this is so good" She muffled, munching on it deliciously. Cove only smiles more, watching her.

"You eat so well" He mutters.

"But Orion, must this kill joy be around you always? He's so annoying" Mokee said to Orion who snickers.

"He's always like that, don't mind him" Orion said taking a bite from the pizza also. Cove crease his brows.

"Kill joy? Me? Hey, you should be glad a superstar like me is sitting here eating with you? Do you know how many people dying to have me sit on the same table with then just for a minute?" Cove said.

"You're not the only superstar here" Mokee mutters.

"Orion, how long have you been acting? You seem like an expert on stage" Mokee asked Orion.

"Umm...about ten years now" Orion answered.

"Wow, that's such a long time. Since high school?" She asked.

"Since it was my dream, I had to work towards it" Orion smiles.

"I envy you. I wanna be like you also" She mumble taking another bite.

"Hey, I've been in this industry longer than he has. It's already been ten years and five months for me. I started five months before him" Cove chipped in.

"Who asked?" Mokee focus on her pizza.

"I have more fans and followers than him. Collected a lot of awards than him, My image is a lot more better than him also. You know I'm tagged as the country's Prince right?" Cove bragged.

"Hmph! Such a bravado..." Mokee huffed.

"Not that I'm bragging but you should know how great I am. You're so lucky to be entangled with me monkey" He stated.

"Orion, can I get one more? This is so good" She ignored Cove.

"Sure. Have it" He extended another to her.

"Thanks" She giggled taking it.

Taking it to her mouth, her teeth grits on it but before she could finish taking a bite from it, Cove suddenly moves his face closer, his mouth taking a bite from it also. Mokee froze momentarily, as his lips suddenly become so close to hers. Her breath hitched and she blinked once. She wasn't the only one, Orion eyes widen in its sockets almost popping out from his sudden move.

Taking a bite, Cove withdraw munching on the pizza like nothing happened.

"Hmm, it really tastes good..." He mutters.

"What...what are you doing Cove?" Orion crave a brow.

"What?" Cove asked ignorantly.

"Why would you suddenly do that to her?" He asked, a little pissed off.

"Why? It's just sharing food, it's no biggie" He shrugs.

"Right Monkey?" He faces Mokee who just stood there dazed.

"Monkey!" Cove nudges her.

"Uh?" She jerks.

"Mokee are you okay? You must have been taken aback, don't mind him he likes to play around like that..." Orion said to Mokee who only stood up abruptly.

"I...I...I'll use the restroom real quick" She shuttered, walking away from her seat.

"Hey Monkey, why do you look so flushed, you okay?" Cove asked but she gulps nothing. 

"Wait..." Orion stood also. He walks close to her then leans down to her level. His face just few inches away from hers.

He brought his hand forward to her face, then wipe the crumbs on her lips away gently with his thumb. She stood frozen again, blinking repeatedly. 

"Clumsy you..."

Cove frowns as he watches this.

When done, Orion took his eyes to hers and smiles charmingly.

"You're free to go red, it makes you cute..." He said almost in a whisper to her. Immediately he said that, her already redden cheeks grew more red.

Orion chuckles at her face then withdrew.

"Don't take long, I'll be waiting"

"Uh? Huhhh..." Mokee touches her cheeks, then hastily ran out of there.

Orion smiles satisfied and took his seat.

"What was that?" Cove frowns a little.

"What..." Orion smiles back, taking a pizza inserting it in his mouth.

"She looks cute when she blushes right?" Orion suddenly said.

"She blushes a lot when she's with me, strangely I like that..." Orion chuckles, munching on the pizza.

Mokee rushes to the restroom washing her face immediately she did.

"Ooof!!" She breathes out, watching her reflection in the mirror. She sighs then place her palm on her thumbing heart.

"Shit! My heart was racing so fast, I thought I was gonna die of heart failure..." She thought out.

"Why would he suddenly do that! Giving me a startle..." She mutters recalling when Cove suddenly took a bit of the pizza from her mouth.

She blows out some air from her mouth, taking her eyes back to the mirror only to meet her flushed face.

"Ohh!! Ohhh!! Why the hell are you blushing you fool!" She slaps her cheeks then recall when Orion clean the crumb on her lips, his captivating smile and what he said to her.

Her face grew hot.

"Ohh...what am I thinking, I must be crazy! Wake up girl! Wake up you fool!!!" She slaps her cheeks more.

~DAYS LATER~

Orion, sitting opposite Cove gave him a weird look as Cove keeps smiling, chuckling and mumbling incoherent words to himself.

"What's with him seriously..." He wondered standing up, heading to the bar.

Cove, remembering his moment with Mokee, how they fought.

Bantered.

Her face when she's angry.

Her reaction when she's scared.

Her expression when she's startled.

The way she looks so cute when she cried.

How adorable she looks, when she eats.

The little time they have spent together, their not so pleasant memories, somehow came rushing to him, keeping him amused.

"Ahh...what's happening to me..." He poundered, letting out a gummy grin.

"That's what I wanna ask, are you sure you're okay these days, you talk, smile, laugh to yourself that I'm beginning to become worried" Orion said approaching him with two glasses of red wine in his hand.

"Something won't leave my mind, I keep thinking about it" He replied collecting one of the glasses of wine, Orion extend to him.

"What could it be this time around? A new fling, my guess" Orion took a seat opposite him, taking a sip from the wine.

"Orion, can you get me that lady's number? Come to think of it, I don't have it I just realized" He requested.

"Which lady? Jemma? I notice she has been trying hard to get your attention lately" Orion frowns a little.

"Who's talking about her. I mean Monkey, give me her digits" Cove says.

Orion quirk a brow.

"Mokee? Why? What did she do this time around? Cove you should really stop teasing her and all. She's a nice woman only trying to achieve her dream. She's not that bad" Orion quickly defended.

"Why talk as if I'm trying to bully her or something?" Cove stated.

"You're always doing that, am I wrong?" Orion quizzes.

Cove thought about what he said for some seconds, then nods agreeing to it.

"You're right. Come to think of it, we've never had any pleasant memory together. We're always arguing, fighting, and shouting at each other. Thinking about it now, she seems to smile everytime she's with you but only frowns at me. Hmm, I don't have any fond memory of her" He reasoned.

"That's because you're always so mean and teasing her, you should stop that" He reclined on the sofa.

"But why do you want her number? I don't think she'd like having you call her" Orion took another sip from the wine.

"Orion, things has gotten out of control now" Cove said.

"What do you mean?"

"That lady...I think I'm in love with her" He confessed and the glass cup dropped from Orion's hand. The red wine spilling on the floor.

"What?" He asked taken aback.

"Monkey, I think I like her" He replied again, Orion frowns.

"Repeat that, Cove" Orion asked again. Cove crease his brow a little.

"I said I've fallen for her...I've fallen in love...with Mokee!" He declared.
