Chapter 2

On the city Stuttgart, which is close to Switzerland. The city was filled with Hitler's soldiers but only a part of them stayed near the northern part of the city which all the residents was forced to live in.

On a bar in the northern part of the city, four figures were there. One was a middle-aged man with yellow hair, a woman in her late twenties, a female child around the age of 6, and a tall young man with curly blonde hair with a rifle on his back obviously, young man was Dietrich.

"Here's your soup, dear sir." The woman said while shoving a bowl of warm beef soup with a bunch of fresh beef swimming on the bowl.

"Thank you." Dietrich nodded as he started eating the meat viciously.

While Dietrich was eating vigorously, the husband and the wife discussed something.

After a few moments, Dietrich finished eating his meal.

"Mister, do you know where the new recuits are camping?" Dietrich asked with cold eyes as he stared the middle-aged man.

After a few seconds...

"I think It's on the southern side of the city. Usually, they come here to feed the new recruits and head to the southern side." The middle-aged man answered as while holding the bridge of his nose.

"I see. I would like to ask you a question." Dietrich asked with a serious tone.

"What?" The middle aged man raised his eyebrow.

"Do they have some kind of schedule coming here?" Dietrich asked with a grin as an idea popped in his head.

"Well they usually come here during Fridays and weekends after training." After a few seconds the middle-aged man answered.

"I see." Dietrich nodded as he placed his fingers on his chin.

After hearing the answer, Dietrich stood up and placed ten Reichsmarks on the table.

"Thank you for your patronage." the middle-aged man said as he picked up the coins and handed it to his wife.

"Mmm." Dietrich muttered as he approached the door and as he was about to close the door.

"Mister! Are you a soldier?!" The little girl said with admiration on her cute little brown eyes.

"A soldier?" Dietrich said to himself while being amused by the question.

"Sorry, little miss. I'm not." Dietrich said with a gentle tone.

"Oh." The little girl was a little dejected.

"But I'm about to be." Dietrich smiled as he ruffled the girls head and closed the door.

Dietrich went to the nearest apartment near the bar he just visited and fortunately it was just across the street.

Despite all the residents of Geneva being forcefully moved in the northern part of the city, houses in the northern part could actually host all of the residents.

As Dietrich arrived at the front door, he knocked on the door twice.

After a few moments, the door opened but it only opened just a little, enough for a person to peek.

"Yes?" A rough voice came behind the door.

"I would like to stay for 2 days." Dietrich said with his poker face.

"You a soldier?" The voice behind the door asked with a cold tone as an eye stared at the gun behind Dietrich's back with a murderous intent.

"I can assure you I'm not. I just hate them as much as you do. Besides, where do you think I got this gun?" Dietrich said as he grinned at the eye behind the door.

After a few seconds, the door opened as it revealed a humongous man with the height of 6'10 almost nearing 7 feet. The man also have huge muscles bulging like a bear.

Facing such a figure made Dietrich feel like a small child.

"The room on the left upstairs is the only one available. You can only pay before you leave." The man threw a key at Dietrich which he catched it gracefully.

"Oh and you better hide that thing on your back because a lot of soldiers tend to roam around these parts." The huge man reminded Dietrich as he went to a room nearby.

Dietrich was quite surprised of the reminder. There were actually people who didn't mind having another person have a gun in their house.

Like a normal person would call the police or make the person get out of their house but this man actually reminded Dietrich to hide his gun?

"What's your name?" Dietrich asked wanting to know this unbelievable guy's name.

The huge man paused in front of his door.

"Müller." The huge man said as he entered his room and closed the door immediately.

"Müller." Giann muttered as he remembered that name. Dietrich immediately went upstairs and entered his room.

The room's interior was actually simple. A bed and a chair and table beside it. A window and when you see outside you can actually see the bar that Dietrich went earlier.

After a long journey from travelling from the Alps and arriving here in Stuttgart took a heavy toll on Dietrich's body, he suddenly fell on his bed and sleept.

*Chirp*

*Chirp*

Sounds of birds chirping made Dietrich wake from his slumber.

Dietrich stretched for a bit then he went near the window and opened it.

Fresh and cold air rushed against Dietrich's face. The view of the city was beautiful such a shame this was going to be destroyed sooner or later.

Dietrich grabbed the rifle and placed it under the mattress while taking note of the reminder of Müller.

Dietrich was contemplating either he should take the gun but since it's early in the morning the residents would mostly panic and report him to the soldiers.

In the end, he just left the rifle under the mattress and went downstairs.

Upon arriving on the first floor, Dietrich met a middle aged woman with long brown hair and a noticable eyebags under her eyes.

"Hello, you must be the new occupant. Breakfast is just on the room on the far right." The middle aged woman said with a gentle tone and pointed a certain direction.

"Oh is that so? Thanks." Dietrich nodded and thanked the woman while heading to the room.

Upon arriving, there were actually not a lot of occupants here.

Dietrich saw 3 female adults and 2 adult males and a boy seemingly around the age of 8-10 years old.

Dietrich just ignored them then sat down on a chair and got his portion of his food and prayed.

"Amen." Dietrich muttered.
