Dietrich, the main character of the story, was currently residing on his bed tired from his work as a construction worker.

Even after receiving a whole week of vacation, he felt like as if there is nothing to rest about.

"What's my life's purpose?" Dietrich thought while laying on his bed, his hands tired from continuous labor.

"I never thought that the missing piece of my life was "purpose"." Dietrich thought as he lay his hands on his sweat drenched face.

"What a corporate rat life. Hehe." Giann chuckled and suddenly became quite.

Dietrich's childhood was neither good or bad. He was spoiled in everything and had to learn things in the hard way in his teenage days.

In his teenage days, he always liked volleyball and playing video games. However, this things never like filled his life with meaning or purpose.

As the time passed like a blink of an eye...

Dietrich was laying on his deathbed accompanied by a nurse near him.

"Sir will you be alright if I leave you for a bit. I need to take a phone call." The nurse asked Dietrich as the phone began to ring and vibrate on her uniform's pocket.

"It's okay miss. You can take that phone call." Giann said weakly.

"Thank you sir. I'll be back shortly." The nurse said as she hurriedly went outside.

After a couple of seconds...

"I can't believe that I'm gonna die because of depression." Dietrich sighed as he looked at the window beside him.

When his parents died he felt like the world crumble and after that he fell into a long depressed state.

His personality wasn't like the kind where he could get over something as if nothing happened. His was a childlike personality. The personality that if you take a candy from him he will cry and cry about it until someone comforts him but to no avail there wasn't.

"Ahh. Mom, Dad. I feel like you would lecture me for hours if I keep going on like this. Hehe." Dietrich chuckled as he closed his eyes.

"What is life anyway?" Dietrich said calmy.

Beeeeeeeeeppp!

The transmitter rang.

*Author's note: I don't know the name of the machine that reads the hearbeat of a patient. Pls comment below if you know it.

The nurse suddenly rushed to the room and quickly pressed a red button that alarmed the doctors.

The nurse suddely pulled a box underneath the bed and surprisingly, it was the tool that electrocuted the patient's heart when their heartbeats go silent.

*Author's Note: This either haha.

"Stay with me, sir!" The nurse shouted but unfortunately Dietrich has closed his, tired from weeping, eyes.

Unknowingly, there was another person on that room beside Dietrich but cannot be seen by a human eye.

"I'll give you the answer to that you long for until your death." the person spoke and the person touched Dietrich's forhead and a small light ball appeared from Dietrich's body and floated above the ceilings as it went to the sky.

Dietrich's soul or the small light ball floated until it was out from the Galaxy and it went to a dark space beyond human knowledge.

After floating for a while, a glowing white hand appeared and touched the white ball.

After the hand touched the white ball. The white ball began to form a human figure and surprisingly it was Dietrich's figure.

The figure of Dietrich opened it's eyes slowly.

"Where am I?" Dietrich said as he lifted his hands and look around the dark space.

"Dietrich Crown. Your life was filled with joy and tears but it was very intriguing when you start asking yourself "What was life?". A voice coming from the arm recalled Dietrich's life.

"What? Who are you?" Dietrich asked while confused by the situation.

"I am what you call God. I have been called a lot of names around the Earth. God,Kami,Deity and etc." The voice said without any emotions coming from it.

"God?!" Dietrich exclaimed and immediately kneeled down.

"Forgive my rudeness!" Dietrich shouted while kneeling.

"It's okay. You can get up. When you asked what was life was. You started to have troubles and stress around your mind all day." The voice said.

"Yes. God, can you tell me what life means to you?" Dietrich asked with curiosity written on his face while kneeling down refusing to get back up.

"That, it's something you have to find out yourself. Hehe." the voice chuckled.

"What do you mean by that God?" Dietrich immediately lifted his head while looking at the glowing hand.

"Dietrich when you lived your life until the very end. Did it ever occur to you that you have asked yourself what was the very purpose of your existence?" The voice asked Giann.

"Yes,God. I have thought about it many times." Dietrich said calmly.

"Well to other human beings, some others think their purpose was just to live, work, and die, some other's was to worship their God, while some others just want to live so that they could leave their names behind history but to you who have lived but never thought of those purpose's." the voice said with a bit of interest in his tone.

"I never encountered a human being asking himself the same question throughout his life yet never got the answer." the voice said with the tone of being amused.

Dietrich who was kneeling there kneeled quietly feeling this is not best time to reply or to interrupt.

"I can't have you resting in peace if you can't resolve that question." the voice said calmly.

"What do you mean by that, God?" Dietrich asked raising his head looking at the hand.

"I want you to be reborn and die until that question on your head is resolved." the voice said with seriousness.

Those words shocked Dietrich's mind.

After a couple seconds, Dietrich regained his composure and bowed his head to the void's floor or whatever he was kneeling on.

"Can I really have this treatment my God? I'm just a lowly person." Dietrich said with a curious tone.

"That doesn't matter as long as you could have the answer to your question I don't mind doing this. I'm very curious in what way could you answer that question." The voice said calmy.

The hand formed to a fist as Dietrich's figure turned to a small white ball.

A large bright area showing countless timelines on Earth's history appeared on the void where Dietrich was originally kneeling on.

"Now where to put you." the voice said as he looked at the timelines revolving.

After a looking a while the voice stopped the revolving area.

"Perfect." the voice said as he placed the white ball on a specific timeline.
