Expecting it to be her I see

It was still noon when Tiania came from her room finally. Her father who sits on the couch watching the television, has yet to say a single word after his daughter told him how she was treated by her husband. Maybe he was just not sure what or whom to believe, a man who is currently blowing up the internet saying he’s sorry but doesn’t know what exactly he did.

Asking his wife to please speak to him or his daughter. But she is unaware of all this because she turned off her phone. From the refrigerator to the kitchen table he ignores everything. Tianie just hopes he says something that would let her know he’s with her. But he just ignored her as well! After having juice she turns to go back to her room.

“Stop there!” Her father stopped her as she reached the middle of the hall! But what she didn’t expect was what came next.

“What exactly did he do that was so wrong? Or is the fact that you don’t love him to understand? Tell me that this has nothing to do with Alex, that boy you were crazy about after meeting him again at the airport? He’s back in the city, did you know?” Her father was straight on what he wanted to say but she kept silent because this Alex, was the person she had spoken with lost night. However, she’s surprised he’s back today instead of next week. She didn’t know what just happened and how did her father know before she did.

“You didn’t leave him without a backup plan. How great are you Tiania, how could I raise a daughter like you.” Her father got up and left the house without giving her the chance to say anything to defend herself. She just stood there and moments later her brother entered and saw her standing there.

“What are you doing there like that Nia?” She snapped and turned around with tears in her eyes.

“Don’t call me the name that bastard calls me when he’s drunk and comes home to fuck me! Father thinks that I left him because I found a replacement but so what? So what if that’s what I'm doing? What is so wrong in making sure I don't fall off when I leave him? But my heart won’t even let me let him go... It has always been cold at his place Leo, your sister is even more cold here without him and it kills me. What should I do? Tell your sister what to do?” Her father who returned with her favorite cupcakes stood at the door hearing his daughter speak. Her brother is taken back because ever since she comes home she barely speaks. Her mother who heard some parts is waiting on Henrick at his office. Tiania was falling apart finally she let out some tears she held back from her family. Her voice cracked when she screamed out asking her brother what to do.

“Why didn’t you tell us you were suffering Nia, don’t give me that look. Nia was our name before you married him and we will call you it still. But our father is probably thinking about the future of yours. How could you blame him? You stay there for so long, why? Nia, I will support you in anything you decide and so will mom and dad.” Her brother sat down next to her where she’s kneeling on the floor crying and explained to her then asked her before telling her he will support her and so will their parents. He hugged her and sat there with her allowing her to cry freely.

“Please allow me to understand where in this presentation will win over anyone to entrust us to build a relation with the public with this for them? Is this the best we can do? Or do i always have to do it myself, if so why are any of you here? Should I just fire all of you?” Henrick asked politely to his employee but he suddenly started to get angry at them which surprised them because he is usually not like that. His anger turned overage that he asked them if he should just fire them. He gets up and leaves them all in shock.

“Oh my god we’re dead.” A female worker entered the room with crying eyes.

“Why?’’ Another employee asked.

“Listen. “At this point we will all get fired. Ever since the boss ' wife moved out he has been a walking zombie in the office. Now, we can’t make a single mistake and expect it to slide. He changed completely. He is like an empty shell moving around by wind. My food had done nothing to him but he had me throw it out, it was my food. We’re doomed for sure. If she does not go back to him, the company will soon fall apart. He has already given me a warning by asking if he should fire me. How will I feed my family?” That is what the person wrote and it went viral so everyone is seeing and I mean everyone.” The girl explained to everyone what was written on the net moments ago and went viral fearing their boss will soon see it and track the ip address. Even Tiania's mother who is at the company waiting for him, in his office. Have seen the post and became worried for the poor souls working, their ass off just to keep their family indoors and fed.

“What a heartless daughter I have grown her to become, she was taught to love her husband with soul, cherish him like he is her child, care for him like he was a patient, but this is how she takes my teaching and uses it.” Her mother Natherine, spoke with herself on how she raised Tiania to treat her husband but this is how it turned out. She couldn't believe her eyes and ears so, she nodded her head no. She sat up properly and continued to wait.

“I need to hear what his side of the story is, then I will go and listen to her story and completely make my own judgment between them.” She said to herself and sigh loudly it was then she heard footsteps coming towards the office. She braced herself for his surprise but she entered the office and didn’t even notice her. Instead he went to the window looking out into the sky. He retrieved his phone and made a call.

“Hello!” He answered the call.

“Did she eat? Is she alright?” These are the two questions he asked and sighed loud as he ended the phone call after a moment. Natherine wondered with whom her son-in-law spoke to and who he would ask those questions to and about.

“She would be coming with lunch at this time or sending it. She would just knock and wait for me to come open the door. She then gave me lunch and left before I could say thank you, or ask her if she would like to stay with me for a while. All I can do is watch her leave.” He stood there looking out. He then began speaking to himself on what Tiania would do. After he stopped the door was knocked on and he dash off toward the door opening it, thinking it was her but to his surprise it was an employee and he just glared at her with anger.

“I-i-i I am sorry these doc-“

He took them from her and slammed the door shut. Put his head on the door and squeeze the documents until they were crushed up.

“Are you hurting that much you didn't even recognise me seated here this whole time?” She asked him but in his ears it was Tiania's voice that he heard and not her mother’s. He slowly turned his head. With tears falling down his face. When his eyes met hers, he just fell to his knees.

“Expecting it to be her I see. We need to talk more like questioning and answering.”
