Symbol of Tenacity

While the guys were getting the luggage over to the car that was out in front, Sonya pulled her and Claudia over to the side to fulfill that promise that Sonya made them earlier. Vincent didn't even bother asking Charlotte to pitch in, instead taking the box that was in her waiting hands over his shoulder.

Stone was still trying to figure out the next plans before he pulled Vincent over to the side to gather a plan. It didn't surprise her the fact that Vincent was so compliant since Stone was his leader, but instead, it was the flash that showed that Vincent was ready to get some payback very soon.

Charlotte also didn't bother to nag him once more since they were clearly preoccupied, and Sonya took her and Lucia over to the dressing room, because they had to do something about their unruly appearance from their ripped clothing to matted hair, not that it would truly matter since no one was going to see them in the deep expanse of the woods anyways.

However, Charlotte was feeling the blood and the grime sitting on the top of her skin which was practically rubbing her raw. She didn't know how Lucia was feeling, but Lucia didn't seem all too comfortable either since the dress barely covered their bodies, and it wasn't a good look for the daily. To those that it was, all the power to them.

Sonya pushed the heavy velvet curtains to the side, and the girls both went into the larger fitting room that was pushed off to the side. What Charlotte truly wanted was a shower, but that would have to wait until later since she would take what they could get now. It would be a waste to bother wishing for different circumstances since those thoughts have kept her mind rolling at night.

She had no clothing on her person besides the few pieces that Lucia gave her that were also lovely. Lucia still had some nice pieces left from her closet, but Charlotte didn't have that luxury. Not that Lucia was going to say no to free clothing as well since Sonya was moving back and forth to grab them some items.

Charlotte took a seat on the velvet bench that was pushed next to the full-length mirror, and Lucia slumped down next to her.

"I'm starting to crash, girl," Lucia whispered.

"I don't even blame you," Charlotte replied. "The guys will have to recover too, especially Vincent. I don't know what Stone will be up to though since he seems pretty restless."

"That isn't my problem," Lucia snickered.

"It will be if it doesn't go well for us if they start to lack in performance."

Lucia lifted a brow. "Performance?"

"Well, we can't only be fighting on our own, can we?"

Lucia sighed. "I have no doubt we can take them on."

Sonya returned quickly with a lot of clothing pieces that were tossed over her arm and hung them up on the hooks that were on the wall adjacent to the one that they were leaning against. Charlotte took a long look at the selection, and she had to say it once more, but Sonya had impeccable taste.

"We don't have any time, ladies, so next time I see you two come around, I would love to take more time to dress you both," Sonya smiled.

Charlotte nodded. "Of course. We thank you for your kindness."

"Well, I have some articles picked out, so please take as you please," Sonya said as she motioned to the wall.

"What would be your suggestions?" Lucia asked.

"For Charlotte, I would recommend a wine-colored blouse along with the dark grey pencil skirt. This coloring, Lucia, would match you better. A navy a-line dress with a white-collared shirt layered underneath."

Charlotte pursed her lips, immediately agreeing. She stood up and went over to the rack of clothing to pull out some denim jeans along with some skirts and blouses. "Casual clothing would be nice as well."

"I would agree," Sonya grinned.

Lucia got up and went through the clothing to choose her picks. "I think I am good here. Thank you, Sonya."

"It's my pleasure," Sonya said with a grin. "I'll package up your guy's picks, and I'll send you both off quickly."

As Sonya left, Lucia changed into a pale blue shirt dress that hung to her knees before pairing it with casual sneakers. It matched Lucia's atmosphere and made her complexion seem brighter which Charlotte was suddenly an advocate for. She truly did want the best for Lucia, and she hoped that Lucia would be able to find her peace no matter where she was.

Seeing how Lucia's face was lighting up, Charlotte changed into a new outfit that consisted of a flowy white skirt, and black knit sweater, and her tall boots with a smile.

She put her old clothing back with the blood and grime as a bonus into her drawstring bag because, despite the tattered conditions, she would like to keep it. After all, it was a symbol of their tenacity.
