Chapter 22 : I'm back.

(( TYLER'S POV ))

It honestly feels good to be back. I'm sure you missed me [ Who am I even talking to? ] Anyways, that dip in the pool was really refreshing and the strangest swim in my life.

I could hear what was going on around me and felt the body moving but what was coming out of my mouth wasn't my voice. Honestly, it sounded over confident and obnoxious.

The good news was that Miss Sydney didn't simply abandon me like that. It felt nice seeing her struggle a bit, just proves she knows what she's doing. And you're probably wondering when I got control of the body....I am too.

I do remember getting separated from the trouble maker yesterday but thankfully, she was fine. And that prince Dopey looked scary as shit, isn't he supposed to be like his name and be you know....Dopey?

I honestly have no idea but I think it would make the most sense to say I got full control of this body after Sydney fell on me like two minutes ago. " Are you still here Tyler "? I nodded and she managed to hold on even tighter.

[ This feels nice in an odd way ] I've never hugged a person before, spent most of my time in vocals and whatever free time I had writing. Plus, I'm apparently not a very likeable person so I don't bother anymore.

But it's not just that, it's the satisfaction about something that makes me want to smile. " Good, you can't leave me by myself again ". I smiled slightly, stroking her black hair which is super smooth and silky by the way. I almost don't want to let it go.

" I'll try my best ". Sydney laughed and I realized what that satisfying feeling was [ This feisty puppy actually cares about me ] It was silent for a few minutes and I nudged her head slightly, " Miss Sydney "?

I was met with silence and realized she'd fallen asleep. I sighed as I tried to sit up, using one hand to try and sit up while the other held her waist. After five minutes of making sure she didn't wake up or hit her head on anything, I successfully sat up.

" Snow White's body is surprisingly light " but that just made her seem even more delicate and fragile. Sydney rubbed her nose against my chest and mumbled to herself before straddling me.

[ Nice to know someone's comfortable ] " Greetings Master Tyler ", I nearly jumped but soon calmed down as I realized it was Devil Princess. I glared at the book immediately it came into view.

The book floated closer with a slight smile and I frowned, " You can't keep sneaking up on people like that. What do you want anyways "? Princess shrugged, " I just came to check up on you two ".

I nodded slowly, not really believing the book " We're both fine, thank you very much ". Princess nodded or at least bent over slightly, " Good, I'll transfer your mission back to you and be on my way ".

I nodded and felt something slightly electric go through my body and something blue flashed before my eyes, " That's all "? [ It didn't hurt ] Princess raised an eyebrow, " Well yeah, not everything I do hurts ya know ".

I checked the progress of my mission and saw it was 5% I looked up at Princess " How did she make any progress "? Princess seemed to be nervous and her eyes darted all over the place, " You can ask Mistress Sydney when she wakes up ".

I frowned, " That only makes you more suspicious Princess ". It laughed and waved its pink silk bookmark at me, " Till next time master ". I reached out, trying to grab it " Wait "!

I lost balance and fell sideways. Using the body's faster reflexes to shift my weight and keep Sydney from hitting the floor and heaved a sigh of relief as I saw she was still sleeping and smiled " You're a really deep sleeper " [ I'll worry about the mission later ]
