Warm Welcome 1

"Everyone knows of the story about Noah and the Ark. About the angels who fell to earth, giving birth to the nephilims. Everyone knows God wanted to cleanse the earth from the stain of evil... But have you ever wondered why evil remained? Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why the world was never really cleansed?

The reason behind it is the story you were never told. The story that had never been included in the bible. It was the story you were never meant to be told.

The Angels weren't the only supreme beings to touch upon the Earth around that time. No, that was just what you were meant to believe.

No one told you that Demons rose from hell, curiosity thrumming through their deadend veins. They, only having to have heard the barest whispers about how beautiful and divine the angels were, wanted to see it for themselves.

Fallen Angels, now filled with the lust of the world, never cared about the evil entities entering into Earth.

Yophiel, the most beautiful angel, had more wealth and lust than all the fallen combined, he was like a leader, the source of their freedom and strength. He enjoyed the attention, he felt powerful, mighty and dared to call himself god.

But for every man, there was a woman capable of bringing him to his knees.

Hecate, a beautiful demon, eyes as blue as the sea, hair as red as fire, and skin as fair as milk. She had Angels falling at her feet, including Yophiel himself.

Yophiel claimed her as soon as he set his eyes on her, wedded her that same day, and took her to his bed.

Together, they bore a child. An abomination, the angels in heaven and the demons in hell called it.

When the ark was built, Hecate feared for her child, Sama'el. She knew God wasn't joking around when the prophecy of the ark surfaced.

One night, she spoke to Yophiel about her fear, but her husband was as ignorant as the rest of the people who were determined to stay behind.

Hecate wanted Sama'el safe, and therefore, she kept him at the doorstep of a humble caretaker, whom she was sure would take care of her son.

As she stayed and waited in the shadows, she watched as the old fragile man held her little baby in his arms, and took him inside his home.

At dawn, she watched as he approached the ark with Sama'el. She watched him disappear amongst the people who wanted to be safe.

Her heart wept for her child. But when the flood came, she was at peace, because she knew her child would live.

Years later, Sama'el had grown into a beautiful boy, but in his heart, was a raging anger that nothing could sate. One sunny day, anger washed his vision red, and his dagger was in his caretaker's chest.

He loved it, the way the blood splattered on his face, the calmness it gave to him... But moments later came the guilt, tearing into him like a raging fire.

But what did you expect from a child born of an angel and a demon?

He ran, far away from home, and started a new life.

He discovered how powerful he was... He saw that he could do things normal people weren't able to do.

That night, he had been out to a Feast. The king's daughter was to be married, and he was certain he would find leftover food to keep him from starving in the days ahead.

It was then he started hearing the voice, the soft calm voice of his mother.

"You can be more... You can have more..."

Within him, he knew he could, but he had made a vow to never hurt anyone. The guilt was something he still hadn't lived through.

"Take it all Sama'el... Make use of the powers within you."

All he wanted was to turn off the sound of her voice in his head, so bad that he screamed his lungs raw.

It all went quiet, the music stopped and he heard nothing. When he opened his eyes, he saw what he had done. Every single soul at the Feast had long left their bodies... and nothing, no food on earth, could have sated him better than the souls of mortals.

That was when he discovered a new means to sate his hunger.

He grew into a dangerous being. With just a snap of his finger, he could end a life if he so wished.

Decades passed, and Sama'el grew to be so dangerous, so dangerous that demons cowered at his name.

He had to be stopped.

A coven of witches, called the Larialites, summoned a demon from hell, there in the town called Westbane.

They called him Thoth.

"He needs to be stopped." The leader of the coven spoke up. "He kills without remorse, humans are no longer safe."

Thoth nodded. "I see it all... There is a solution." An evil smile played on his lips.

"We'll do anything."

Thoth was filled with immense joy, knowing however this played out, he was going to get what he wanted from it. A demon will always be a demon. "There is a spell I shall give to you. You need to find two humans born of sin, cast it upon them."

The witches had exchanged glances. "But Thoth, how is this any solution?"

"This spell has been created by Elders in hell, for the main purpose of putting an end to Sama'els' reign. When you cast the spell, these humans you shall find would be turned into creatures capable of restraining Sama'el."

"Creatures? What sort of creatures would this be?"

Thoth smiled. "One of them, I shall call the creatures of the night... They feed from the blood of humans, and are never seen in daylight. And the other shall have a treacherous beast within, which would be at its full strength on every full moon."

The witches accepted this spell without question.

They found two men, one named Seth, and the other, Aarmon.

What Thoth never told them, as the sly demon that he was, was that a mere scratch or bite from Seth, the creature with a beast within, would turn a human with sin to what he was. And if the venom from Aarmon, the creature of the night, gets into a human with sin, it would turn them into a creature of the night.

Sama'el knew of the plot against him. He knew the witches had found a way to put an end to him. He knew he had to leave his family to protect them.

He had fallen in love with a human, there in Westbane, and had a child with her.

"I shall return," he had said to her, the night he knew he would seize to exist. "It would take decades, but I shall return." He stroked the hair of his beautiful boy. "I shall take charge in one of my offspring in generations to come, and I shall put an end to the ones who will try to end me."

He had made a promise to his son, as he left that night, and waited for his end.

The witches, filled with joy that they had Sama'el locked away for good, still had no idea of Seth and Aarmon, creating multiples of themselves as decades flew by.

Time went, and the creatures of the night, now known as Vampires, had multiplied into thousands, the same as the creatures with beasts within, now known as Werewolves.

They walked on Earth with no control, killing whosoever they pleased. Seth and Aarmon vanished, no one heard of them ever again... The creatures were left with no leaders, and they took it upon themselves to create leaders.

The Werewolves now moved in packs, with their leader being the Alpha. And the vampires, in clans.

This still didn't bring peace, as territories were being marked, and for this reason, the Werewolves and Vampires became enemies.

Now the fight wasn't against humans, it was within themselves.

This wreaked havoc in Westbane.

Decades of killings and horrible incidents.

A new generation of the Larialites summoned the help of their ancestors for a way to solve the horrible problems. They were instructed to summon Thoth, the demon who gave the coven the spell, decades ago.

"They are uncontrollable!" The new leader yelled. "We have to find a solution."

Thoth smiled, his plan coming to formation. "As your ancestors did before you, you've come to the right demon."

"What do we do?"

"I'll give you another spell."

"Oh no! The Larialites are done with your spells! The last one you gave our ancestors, had a repercussion so great this town is in chaos till this day!"

"Ah, do not worry, this spell is very different. You will have to find a leader, one who can lead the three factions, the Witches, the Werewolves and the Vampires."

"And where do we find him? Aarmon and Seth are long gone, no one knows where they are."

Thoth smiled. "Be calm, I and the Elders have found a solution to this. I will give you a spell... One that can make this leader a Werewolf, Vampire and a Witch at the same time."

"But that is impossible!"

"It isn't. You have to find a human worthy of this... Preferably from a young age, you can groom him to be a leader of all three factions... And restore the peace to Westbane."

They agreed that night.

They found a little boy worthy of the gift, and they gave it to him.

He grew to be strong, powerful, respected and feared... The first and only Tribrid.

He brought peace to Westbane, and kept their secret from humans, by creating a whole new side to Westbane, deep into the woods... He provided for his people in a way that humans don't suspect anything... Although some of these creatures still believed they could take charge and feed whenever they wanted to, but, they feared what he would do to them, so they obeyed the rules.

Tales have been told of the Bane woods, any human who dared venture in there, never comes out.

And till this day, of everyone who went in, not one has returned to tell the tale."

The light suddenly turned back on in the classroom.

Sasha sighed when she noticed that half of the class were already asleep, the rest, while awake, had bored looks on their faces.

"How the fuck is this supposed to deter our minds from planning the bonfire in Bane woods?" Jacobs asked.

"Bane woods are off limits, you kids aren't allowed in there." She answered.

"But seriously though, Werewolves and Vampires? What are we, five? By the way, this is Westbane, nothing serious ever happens in this town, you adults just keep saying this because Dottie Palmwater went missing there a year ago." A girl snickered.

"And we all know she ran off with her boyfriend." Another girl spoke up.

The whole class laughed at that.

"That's enough of that. The bonfire will be held where it usually does, at The Bane square."

The groans and protests from the student was all Sasha could hear as the bell rang, signalling the end of class.

All the students rushed out, taking hastily stuffed backpacks with them.

Sasha's phone beeped in her purse, she quickly fished for it.

When she saw the name on her screen, she grinned. "Tell me you're here."

"Yeah, I just got here, and I got the address right."

Sasha grinned. "Did you find the keys?"

"Yup, I did... I'm settling in now... Can't wait to see you."

Excitement filled Sasha. "Me too! See you soon bestie!"

Elfrida laughed. "Yeah, bye."
