Chapter 32: Negligent Father 2

If Doron was asked what was the most shocking thing that happened to him, he would reply with waking up with a goddess in his arms who was staring at him with love overflowing from her eyes.

And for some reason, he felt that that was normal, it was natural, nothing was wrong with it, he felt like he had been doing something like that for a very long time.

But now, the most surprising thing that happened to him would have to be replaced with what is happening with him now.

He had thought of how to succesfully talk with Lydia, with no avail.

Reading her emotions was just like trying to understand what animals were saying to each other when they communicated with each other.

The second plan was reading her facial expressions, but that was even more hard. She could change from a lustful predator, to a loving big sister who would say "Ara, ara" when you do something cute or unexpected, then she would change to those noble ladies who believe that even they air should bow down to them, and beg them to breathe them in, all of those personalities in just one minute.

If there was a world record for that, she would win it hands down, or rahter just by staying awake.

Now he thought, why don't I just talk over her so that my voice was louder and she would have no choice but to hear him, it sounded like a great idea at that time but... Let's just replay the ordeal.

*Imagine rewind sound, a black and white background and a nake- Cough, I mean a sitting Lydia and Doron talking*

"..."

"..."

*Right, sorry about that, also imagine sound, so let's start again*

"HOW DID YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!?" Doron yelled as Lydia was about to talk, he continued. "AND HOW DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THE MEMORY FRAGMENT"

His voice completely drowned that of Lydia's, it was succesful, but he did not consider one thing.

"Why- hic- why are you shouting *hic* at meeee, wuwuwu"

Her instant personality change. Of course he expected this, but the fact that she changed to a personality that was basically a cry baby, he was stumped.

Then the fact that she had been crying for almost two minutes straight made him wonder if his assumption was correct.

He then quickly tried to console her. Patting her head, saying sweet nothings that even he would be proud of himself if was able to say those things to a girl he had never seen before, he did everything in the book that his previous self normally read.

... What? Don't tell me you have never been curios about the opposite sex to the point that you would be really tempted to read some books like, "How to know when a girl/boy likes you" or "Signs that a girl/boy likes you".

So as he was trying to console her, the door to the room burst open as a red ball flew towards him and Lydia, he of course unconciuosly opened his arms and caught the ball, only for the ball to turn into Marble, the girl looked like Marble, but she had red hair and red eyes with a deep orange kimono.

"Papa!"

*Fade memory rewind*

Now Doron was trying to console three girls crying in his embrace.

"Am sorry, I have been a very bad papa, I made mama cry a lot, Marble and...uh Orb" He looked at the info over the girls head.

Doron of course ignored the other descrption as he consoled them.

Iris and Patra just looked at this with a gloating look as they felt that Doron deserved it, they did not have a reaon why, but Iris knew that this was part of Doron's sealed memories.

That photo that Orb showed her could not be faked, well unless there was a photoshop place in this world... Wait, how did the girl even have a picture like that in the first place?.

Iris did not dwell on it too much as she looked at Doron, or rather above Doron.

[Time to power cut: 00:02:35:34]

'Just two hours more' She thought as she looked at the loving *cough* family.

She did not really notice it, but for some reason, the time here was somehow a bit screwed, or was it the timer? She noticed that Doron's timer for his powers was moving very fast, like a minute for her was like 30 minutes for the timer.

'It's the same as Diakono's dungeon' She thought as she saw that the three girls finally stoped crying and Doron finally heaved a sigh of relief as he patted their backs.

"Am so sorry that left you all alone, somethings happened and am back now aren't I?" Doron said with all the love he could muster in his body. 'How did this happen? Will I find the answer in the memory fragmet, but...' He looked at his peripheral vision.

This was the message he saw when he tried to open the memory fragment.

He knew it was not going to be that easy as he looked the slime family in his embrace.'Maybe I can get some info from them... that is when they calm down'

After another half an hour, they all finally calmed down, but they had also fallen asleep, leaving Doron in dilema as he did not know where their bedroom was located, that is if the dungeon had a bedroom in the first place.

"We will just check all the rooms we see on the way"

That was proven to have been a bad idea on Doron's part as the rooms they saw could traumatize a person.

Some of the rooms strangely had half living humans and also monsters that did not belong in the dungeon at all.

"This is really strange" Iris said as she looked at the newest room they opened.

This one had a satyr chained to the wall as a what looked like holograms of girls of different races naked and showing it every part of their exposed bodies as all the satyr could do was watch.

Iris just closed the room and continued moving with the rest.

Doron was carrying Lydia, whiles the twins were in the hands of Patra who was surprisingly stronger than what Doron had thought as she could easily carry the twins like she was carrying books.

After looking at over about 40 rooms, they found the rooms that belonged to Lydia and the twins.

Lydia's room was made in european style with a bed large enough to fit about seven people, and still have space for more as the luxurious room also had a picture that made Doron open his mouth wide in shock.

Right above the bed, was a life sized picture of him and Lydia, well it was a portrait not a picture, but the fact that he was looking at her lovingly proved that he was at least, maybe before having his memories sealed, he and the cr- slime queen Lydia were a couple.

He was a bit different in the portrait as he looked more older and had the face of someone that ruled a lot of people.

Lydia on the other hand looked younger in the portrait as her hand was lovingly placed over a stomach as she looked to the front with a happy and content smile that showed that she was really happy with her life.

"It seems your other slef left a lot of responsibilities for you" Iris commented on the side as she looked at the portrait. "Do you remember her, or have any memories of her?"

"No, but it seemed she knew somethings about me" Doronsaid as he brought Lydia to the bed and laid her down gently on the bed. "Even I don't know myself well, just like what happened with that guy from Pin's group"

Doron removed the zori on Lydia's legs leaving the tabi, since that one was touchong her skin, and removing it might tickle her.

"About, that, what are we going to do about it?" Patra asked at the side still carrying the twins in her arms.

"... We wil talk about that later, let's just put them down to rest first and think of our next course of action." He thought as he touched Diakonos who was in her ring form.

"Diakonos"

The orc cheiftan came out looking around a bit confused.

"How can we leave this dungeon without killing the boss?" He did not let her continue staring as he asked the important question on his mind now.

"What? You want to leave the dungeon?" Diakonos was a bit shocked when she heard what Doron said.

"Yes, we want to leave, but without killing the dungeon boss"

"That... you would have to get the dungeon core, but this is a normal dungeon so it has not really gotten sentinence to launch a core trial" Diakonos said.

"How do we get the core without launching this core trial thing" Doron asked as he really did not want to kill Lydia at all, he infact did not want to do any option that would have him kill Lydia.

She was already unstable, and he did not want to expriment if Lydia would remember her last moments of death.

"Uh, that would be killing the dungeon boss then" Diakonos said.

"So there is no other way?" Doron frowned.

"Well there is, but I don't think you will like it either" Diakonos said with a grin.

Seeing that expression on her made Doron's skin crawl as to what she was going to say.

"Come on, it's just some silly little quest" Diakonos said after looking at how serious everyone was.

"Silly little quest?" Patra echoed.

"Yeah, you see, as a living dungeon, I can influence small dungeons like this one in a way, I can forcefully make this dungeon initiate a core quest for you guys" She said with pride. "See, easy right, and don't worry, this core quest will like a walk in the par--"

Patra had instantly rushed and covered Diakonos's mouth. "Dont't jinx it" She said in a voice as low as whisper, making the others just shake her head, but they still knew that this dungeon was not that simple.

From everything they had seen till now, they highly doubt that this core quest will be that easy as Diakonos said.
