Awkward Meeting

Richard Graner proudly introduced his grandsons. Both old men got excited, when the children introduced themselves. But it seemed, as if they were not interested in each other. The old men left the young, so that they could know each other well. Later Jason excused himself as he got a call letting Kevin Graner and Aaron Avelon alone.

At first they felt awkward. As they both knew the reason behind their meeting. They didn't knew, what should they talk about. They just had a conversation about different things. About their companies, economy, government and so on. It doesn't look like a conversation between a man and a woman, even at least a bit. It's more like, two capitalists were talking with each other. But that made them free and erased their awkwardness.

At last, for the first time, they spoke like normal beings.

" I heard highly of Mr. Graner. hope you don't mind my awkwardness. It's just because.. " said Aaron worried.

She was cut by Kevin, " I can understand you, miss Avelon. Even I feel the same way, because we both know the real intentions of the old men. I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable. "

Aaron felt relieved and said, " Not at all. It's just that, I was forced by my grandfather to be here. I came here so that he would not lose his face. "

He just said, " likewise " and smiled.

They just stared at the sky, which is filled with stars. And for the rest of the time, they didn't utter a single word.

Kevin saw her enjoying the night sky. She is a woman with perfect height, perfect figure and a perfect face, every girl would dream about.

But he doesn't seemed to be captivated by her. Surprisingly, all he could think, is about Fiona. He thought, if she were there, she would have enjoyed the night sky a lot .

Facing such a beauty, how can he think of others. But what can he do, he couldn't control his heart. His head is filled with the thoughts of Fiona. He might have fallen, a way, too deep than he thought.

Thinking now, they both have a totally different personalities from each other. They are different in every aspect. One is energetic and talkative, while the other is domineering and reserved. Fiona doesn't know much about the world. She's just a beautiful girl who is always protected by her family.

Where as, Aaron is on a different note. She is a charismatic girl, who took the responsibility of running a company just at the age of 23. Now she's 26. And for the last three years, she has developed her company and expanded her business.

Later they had dinner and they both were forced to meet again because of their grandfathers.

When Aaron and her grandfather reached their home, it was already late. Rowan Avelon thought about talking to her, but she went straight into her room and closed the door. She got freshen up and when she was about to go to bed, her phone rang.

When she saw the name on the phone screen her face lit up with a broad smile. Obviously, it's her sister who's calling.

When she picked the call, she heard, " My beautiful sister, how is your day "

Aaron laid her back on the bed and said lazily, " How can it be, so boring. same faces, same work. "

" It's not that, what I'm asking about. How does he look ? Is he handsome ? "

" Is being handsome everything ? "

" Of course not. But I'm so curious, since grandpa recommended him very strongly "

" Well, he's handsome, tall, polite and highly educated. He can be a good husband. But something is off with him. "

" What do you mean. Don't tell me he is... "

" What nonsense are you thinking. It just doesn't feel right. I have a feeling that he already has someone in his heart "

For a few moments, silence filled the air. At last a voice came from the phone.

" sis, do you regret working in the company? "

Aaron composed her feelings and said, " It's not about me. I'm just stating facts. "

" you can manage anyone with your sweet words. But not me. "

" Its seriously not about me. I'm happy with my work and life right now. "

" sis, I know what kind of a person you want to share your life with. You want someone who sees you as who you are. Not just your name or fame. I promise you, I'll never let you marry someone who doesn't love you "

Finally a smile appeared on her face " what I'm so worried about, when I have a caring sister like you. "

They chatted until dawn and finally went to sleep.
