Warmup
Okay then.... This is quite far from what I expected, I am here in the Nara Clan gathering hall but all I see is two people playing shogi. My father and all the other Nara youths are nowhere to be seen and instead, I see the clan head Nara Shikaku playing shogi with a 5 year old boy of whom I presume to be Nara Shikamaru.
"Troublesome...." I grunted, in which garnered the attention of Nara Shikamaru and of which he also sighed, "I know right...".
"Oh? .. Shiro-kun is here, alright... we can start with our training then." said Nara Shikaku as he stood up.
""Troublesome...."" I mused together with Shikamaru as we walked towards the Nara training grounds.
"You must be wondering where's your father and the other Nara right, Shiro-kun?" chuckled Shikaku as we walked down the hallways. In which I replied, "Yes, Shikaku-sama.."
"Your father told me about how you managed to learn the Kage Onishibari no Jutsu (Shadow Demon Binding Technique) at your age", In which piqued Shikamaru's interest evident to his raised eyebrows as he looked at me like I'm some kind of a circus animal, 'I mean... is that really something to be alerted of?' I gulped as I nervously smiled back to the direction of Shikamaru.
"So I will take over your training with the mastery of the other clan techniques as well as any other supplementary knowledge." continued Shikaku.
"Yes, Shikaku-sama" I replied as we arrived at our destination.
The Nara training grounds is BIG, I mean BIG, it has rows of dummies for shuriken and kunai practice, together with another array of dummies just for exclusively testing Ninjutsus. With the forest at the back known for the place of Nara clan's deers of which is taken care of properly by the assigned caretakers.
"Alright then, lets begin our warm-up...Stretching and then shuriken throwing.." said Shikaku as he went to the clan warehouse to prepare the necessary target boards, kunais and shurikens for our training.
As I begun my stretching sets and reps, "Ne... is it true you know how to do the Kage Onishibari no Jutsu (Shadow Demon Binding Technique)?" said Shikamaru as he also did his exercise sets. Of which I replied, "Yeah....I was just curious when I read a scroll my father have in his room, I followed the stated hand-signs then .... bam, my father's table suddenly broke. It was at that time I knew I did the jutsu."
"Must have been troublesome..." stated Shikamaru, and I replied "Right....".
Shikaku went back and set the necessary positions for our Shuriken warmup training and once he finished, he gave me and Shikamaru 10 Shurikens each as he pointed out to the 10 separate boards scattered on the field.
"You both know the drill, hit all of those target with your shurikens." instructed Shikaku.
"Shikamaru!, you go first." barked Shikaku as we both watch a grumbling Shikamaru as he went to the drill. I watched in interest as he went back again as he missed 3 out of 10 of the thrown shurikens, one of which spectacularly killed a bird slightly beside the target board.... hmm... I'm pretty sure he got the experience from the bird he killed though and of which resulted a giggle from Shikaku himself.
I glanced by the pond beside me, quietly assessing my features, my black hair tied in a Nara-style ponytail, while having a short bangs on the side which framed the look of my somewhat chubby face (Hey!, all kids are chubby) with a slightly protruded nose, paired with a Shikamaru-like eyes. I'm a tad inch shorter than Shikamaru though, with me wearing a green shirt with a Nara clan symbol by the shoulder and pair of dark blue pants with a pair of comfortable open-toad shoes shinobis commonly wear.
"Shiro-kun! You're up!" Shikaku called out to me, cutting me off from my self inspection, prompting me to step forward to the drill area. "Alright, throw when ready."
I swallowed a bit in nervousness, as I try to calm my mind, breath in..... breath out.....I can do this!
Deciding to trust myself I flicked open the shuriken holster given to me that in which I placed in both my thighs before scooping out a bunch with each hand and throwing them.
Man.... they made it look very easy in the show, but reality? It's another story altogether.
While my mind was letting my body run it on 'autopilot', that didn't mean that I wasn't having the "feeling" so to speak, I could feel each little muscle twitch in my fingers as I threw the shurikens towards their respective targets. And... yeah.. it's cool how in control my body is as I turn around to face Shikaku and Shikamaru just in time as several thunks were heard as they all hit their target, all ten of them hitting the bullseye, courtesy to the "Sharpshooter" perk. hehe.
"Excellent work, Shiro-kun" Shikaku told me with a grin as he watch a slack-jawed Shikamaru stare blankly for a few seconds. He nodded with a grin and approval, as I smiled with the said acknowledgement, then he said. "You may go back now." as I walked towards the pace beside Shikamaru while waiting for further instruction.
I mentally praised myself for not breaking out of character while thinking, "Damn! that was cool!". Shaking my head out of that dangerous thought, then a couple of little pop-ups caught my attention.

I projected a blank expression as I let out a groan saying "Troublesome...." , and turned back focusing to face Shikamaru who just woke up from his stupor.
"Man... Shiro, you didn't say you were THAT good in shurikens" said Shikamaru all while scratching a nonexistent itch by his head.
I was about to reply when I got interrupted by Shikaku though. "Okay then, the warm-up is done.... we'll now proceed to the training proper".
Me and Shikamaru both groaned in response.
"Ah.... Troublesome..."
