Encounter

Today was one of those I consider a 'bad day' ever since I came to this world.

A whole horde of people hell bent on pursuing a certain blonde person and I....became a collateral damage.

"Clean those paintings off my house!!!"Look what you did to my hair!"My cabbage!!!"Come back here you pesky troublemaker!!!" they shouted as Naruto made his way towards the tight alleys by the shops.

It was quite an incredible coincidence and luck on my part to be walking in one of those tight alleys at my free time...

It was a fateful encounter, isn't it? Bah.... fate my ass...

Now those people are also pursuing me!

"Oi! oi oi! Why am I also included?!!" I shouted as I also ran with all my might. "Shut it brat!" they replied as Naruto smiled bitterly at my direction.

Me and Naruto ran as if our lives depends on it.... well it did though...

"Over here!" I said as I pulled Naruto towards a corner.

We turned on various directions and tight corners until we reach a dead end. "Oi... this is a dead end!" shouted Naruto in distress as he paled thinking about the pursuing group of people.

"Ah! keep your voice down you baka!" I said in a low voice with my hand covering his mouth.

"Tch...How did I get involved in this situation again?.. ah ... troublesome..." I said as I made Naruto sit in the corner next to a barrel while I immediately made a few hand-seals and picked a Hiraishin kunai from my pouch.

Dog → Boar → Ram. "Henge no Jutsu! (Transformation Jutsu)" I said as I made myself to a barrel, enveloping Naruto's small form as he sat, while throwing a Hiraishin kunai on the terrace above me just in case.

We watched tensely as a part of the pursuers came close to our position.

"Hm? they are not here!" said person A as he tried to check the alley. "They are not in this side either!" said person B at a distance. "Ah.. pesky brats!! They escaped!"

"Check the barrels and boxes!! Maybe they're hiding!" said person C as he made his way to another alley.

'Ah.. shit...' I mentally thought as Naruto started shaking...

'I need to distract them' I thought as I threw a rock at the small wood pillar supporting those wooden logs right beside the pursuer's position.

I watched as the wooden logs fall on the path of the pursuers as I immediately cancelled the Transformation Jutsu and grabbed Naruto as I whispered 'Hiraishin no Jutsu'.

I made sure that I looked like I used a Flicker technique as to not alarm those in hiding, observing Naruto 24/7.

Me and Naruto appeared at the terrace as I swiftly kept the Hiraishin Kunai to my 'pouch'. A new trick I learned, to make it look like I'm keeping items in my pouch even though I am storing it in my inventory.

Naruto didn't feel good though. He looks like he would vomit anytime. 'Ah.. yeah space-time travel through seals is quite hard for first timers. Would disorient anybody.... even the 4th didn't have a good time with it at first' I mused as I recall the imbued memories of Minato working on the technique.

Naruto recovered fast enough. Not long after, we made our way to the park. A crowded yet the perfect place to hide as there are a lot of trees beyond it.

When we arrived at the location, Naruto shouted "Yosha!! The prank is a success!!" as he made that ridiculous victorious pose with that huge grin on his whiskered face. Then he faced me as he stretched out his hand while saying "Thanks for your help ne...What's your name? Ah!... by the way my name is Uzumaki Naruto! dattebayo! U-ZU-MAKI NARUTO!"

"Nara Shiro" I said as I clasped his outstretched hands in response.

"Ne ne...Shiro... what was that earlier? It's so fast!! That was so cool dattebayo!" excitedly said Naruto as he face me with that shining eyes of his.

"Ah.... troublesome..." I said as I used 'Observe' on Naruto

'HOLY --' I said mentally as my eyes widened in surprise to see Naruto's stats. 'That's a ridiculous amount of chakra!'

"Eh? why do you look so surprised ne Shiro?" questioned Naruto as he tried to look around looking for something that made me surprised.

"Ah... it's nothing... I just remembered something important..." I said as I returned back to my calm expression. Man...'Gamer's Mind' sure is handy.

"Ne ne Shiro could you teach me that fast moving technique? It was really cool dattebayo!" said Naruto as he scratched his hand while making a somewhat shy expression on his face.

"Ah... troublesome... they will teach you the 'Body Flicker' in the academy...." I said as I crossed my hands to my chest.

"Ah! they did not teach us that technique on the academy Shiro dattebayo!" said Naruto as he huffed while he continued "They only teach us 'Transformation technique' and Clone technique!! I tell you Clone technique is so uncool dattebayo!" reminiscing about his recent failure on the clone technique.

"Hmm? Ne Naruto... Let me guess, did you fail the test today?" I said as I remembered that Naruto took the grade 2 times in the show just because he keeps on failing to conjure a clone.

"Eh? How did you know Shiro?" queried Naruto as he made that questioned look.

"The extremity of the Pranks and your somewhat downcast look" I said as I remembered that report I heard when he failed the 1st time. I mean.... he painted the Hokage Monument whole with various paints! Now... his pranks are on a bigger scale but not over the top though.

"He he ... " Naruto smiled as he scratched his head as he lightly bit his tongue.

"Tch... looks like I hit the mark....ah... troublesome...." I said as I sat on the base of the tree while looking at a somewhat fidgeting Naruto.

"Hm?...what is it Naruto?" I said as Naruto managed to nervously utter what he would like to say.

"Um...Shiro....could you be my friend?" Naruto said as he bit his lips, fearing as to what I would say in response.

"Hmm? Why not?" I said nonchalantly as I begin on my routine cloud-watching as I sat while peeking at Naruto's expression.

"Really?!" Naruto's eyes immediately brightened as he celebrated, 'Yahoo!..Finally... a friend...' I watched as tears began to gather on the corner of Naruto's eyes as he began to cry.

"Hm? Why are you crying Naruto? Are you hurt somewhere?" I said even though I knew the answer.

Naruto had it rough ever since he was a little child, he was shunned by everyone. I knew for all the days he made those pranks, he seeks....no craves attention that people will be able to acknowledge his existence, who he is and what he stands for, without prejudice.

"I'm just sweating dattlebayo! I'm really really happy dattebayo!" Naruto said as tears and snot flowed from his face as he wipes it with his orange jacket.

I smiled as I stood up and outstretched my fist on his direction then I said "Friends?"

"Friends.." Naruto replied with a huge smile of happiness on his face as he bumped his fist unto mine as a response....
