Her eyes widened, and her mouth parted on a protest, but I didn't allow her the chance to speak before my lips were back on hers. I'd never tire of kissing her. Having been deprived previously, I was going to take advantage of this newfound permission every chance I got.
"Last chance to change your mind," I said, moving away from her lips and kissing my way along her jaw. I glanced up at her under my lashes, and she gazed back at me, her eyes swirling in that unique way they did.
"Look, if you don't want to do this, just say so, but stop trying to put your inability to perform on me," she said.
A surprised laugh erupted from me as I kissed my way back to her mouth. I stopped before our lips touched, though, my eyes narrowing in on hers. "First of all, we both know I can perform just fine, and I'll be more than happy to prove that to you. Again."
Her breath hitched, but she remained exactly where she was, not so much as flinching.
