"And you think that will work?" Chloe asked.
"Yes," Isach said without hesitation. "King Draven won't argue too much in front of the other royal covens. He can't, not when he's the one always urging covens to follow the rules."
"All right, so you show up and get your seats back. How does that help Piper and her sisters?" I asked.
"Piper and her sisters will be on the royal council, which means they have a vote, too. This gets me in the same room with them and gives me an opportunity to speak to them." Isach gripped the back of a dining room chair and winked at Emma, who burst out in a cheeky smile.
My heart raced knowing Isach would soon see and speak to Piper. When I got a moment alone with him, I'd give him a message to pass along. I needed her to know how much I missed her, how much I loved her, and how miserable I was without her. But most of all, I needed her to know I hadn't given up on us. I never would.
