Chapter 11

The following three days passed without a hitch, I completed the daily quest each day getting a skill point daily resulting in my stats being what they are currently.

{Stats}

Health: 10

Stamina: 3

Agility: 3+3

Strength: 1

Intelligence: 2

While I'm still not sure how intelligence directly affects me, I know often times brains can win over brawn. I currently only have 2 days left to kill an Orc before I officially fail the quest, which would be fine except I have no clue if ill get another quest with these rewards in the future.

(Current Quests)

({Daily Quest}: Do 250 push-ups, Do 250 sit-ups, Run 3 kilometers, Do 50 pull-ups, eat at least 2,500 calories. {Reward}: one random skill point)

({Beginner Quest}: Kill one Orc while dealing 50% or more damage. {Reward}: 3 random skill points, poor quality loot box, class select. (Time Limit: 2 days))

I had told Raoul the previous day, that we'd take today off to recuperate our muscles and prepare for our workout the following day. As much as I'd love to have some help with killing an Orc, I have no clue how I'd explain wanting to go out and kill an Orc, nor how I'd explain my new speed which I've been hiding the last couple of days to keep him from being suspicious.

While increasing agility from 1 point to two is 2x as fast and every point after that has less effect overall, it is still a drastic improvement that with my now 6 points in agility, it would be hard to miss. I packed enough food for two days time with enough calories to complete my daily quests. I also brought a sleeping bag and a jug big enough to hold 3 gallons of water. I was ready to go, and hopefully when I returned I would be much stronger.

I quickly left the Village walls through the gate, and walked towards the farm Raoul and I had stopped at before. I had to prepare myself mentally for the actions that soon followed. I grabbed some manure from the ground and rubbed it all over my body, covering my natural human scent.

I then walked to the edge of the forest with my eyes peeled looking for a stray Orc that might be easy to pick off without being noticed by the others. I walked closer and closer towards the Orc camp until I was just on the outskirts far enough away to barely see it from the top of the tree I was now perched on. This would be the spot I'd wait until an Orc got close enough to pull away towards the edge of the wood, where I'd hopefully finish them off.

A few hours passed as well as multiple groups of Orcs all with at least two Orcs, seemingly patrolling the camp. Finally, night had arrived and many of the Orcs had gone to sleep leaving only a few to watch the camp. I was now more alert than ever, waiting for my chance to pounce. The later it got into the night, the more tired I became. As I began to doze off I heard a snap of a branch near me. I looked to the side and saw an Orc walking nearby me, his nose was held high in the air sniffing loudly. This was my chance.

I got up from my branch and climbed down the side of the tree. I slowly backed away from the Orc, to create some distance before leading him to the edge of the woods away from his allies.

[SNAP]

Just under my foot was a now broken stick while the Orc was now smiling at me eager for his newfound meal.
