Chapter 4

I look at the room in front of me before getting inside the room. I can see many people walking around and talking to each other. I can even see people shouting to the people in uniform. I look around for a few seconds before my eye lands on the young woman sitting behind the desk.

I walk toward her and say.

"Sorry for asking but is this the transfer room?"

The young woman looked at me and smiled before saying.

"You are coming to the right place. Please tell me your ID."

"ID? Wait for a second, please."

I take the piece of paper given to me and look at my ID before saying.

"Y-889012"

"Y-889012… Ah! Here you go. Before you go to the transportation device, I need to tell you about the world you will be transported into. Are you okay with this?"

"Ah! Please. That would be helpful."

"Very well. The world you will be transported into is called Worm. After the human get their power from a Giant Space Whale, this is a world filled with superheroes and supervillains. This Giant Space Whale has an avatar of a man with a golden body. This world Rating is 7."

"Rating?"

"That is how dangerous the world you are currently in. There are ten ratings of the world."

"That means the world I will transport will be dangerous but not to the point I will die immediately."

"Correct. As long as you are smart, you can survive. Anyway, this world is almost the same as one of your previous worlds with added features."

"Understood."

"The next thing I need to tell you is your current character build. Have you heard of D&D?"

"Hmmm? Yeah. I played it in the past. However, I never played the 5e version."

"Then this should be easy to explain. Here is your body status. Please read them carefully as it can save you from trouble. Unlike D&D, you can increase your spell power with enough practice or buy more power from your patron."

I nod my head and take the piece of paper from the young woman in front of me. I look at the paper and start to read it.

Hmm… My name has changed. I don't really mind. I like my first name and hate my second name. I also have two spells and two cantrips? Hmmm, that is good. However, I need to make sure about something. Warlock is known for their uselessness in the early level, not really useless, but they are not good at an early level.

"Can I ask you about the spell? How much can I cast before I cannot do that again or how many Cantrips I can cast at this level."

"That question will be answered when you train your spell. The only thing I can say is that this is the real world. This is not a game. Many people thought that this was a game and decided not to train their spell and body. Do you know what happened to them?"

"Dead."

"Dead. There are too many agents who think that they can do whatever they want with their power and did not know that a single stab to the throat will kill them."

"I will remember your words."

"Good. Now, as a new agent, you need to take one quest from the mission board in the Guild Hall every week. The only time you don't need to do this is when you are taking an emergency quest. Not only that, every month, you need to pay at least 100 points to pay your debt. If you do not do that, there will be a punishment."

"That is… rather harsh, don't you think?"

"Yes, it is. The company fuck everyone. That is the saying around here. As long as you still have a debt to them, they will try their hardest to squeeze you till the last drop."

"I see."

"Anyway, please follow me. Your transportation device is ready."

I nod my head and follow the young woman to the corner of the room, where I see another tube waiting for me. I can see a table in front of the tube, and on top of the table is what looks like a wallet, phone, and a backpack.

When we arrive, the woman says,

"This is your starting equipment. Because you decide to take the ID perk, the company will give you a smartphone that also can be used as a portal maker to our Guild Hall. Remember to open the portal when you are alone. We did not want any leak to happen. Anyway, your Gold Coins will be inside your bag. Your ID is inside your wallet."

"Understood."

"Good. Then get inside the tube. You will be teleported into your base world."

I nod my head and get inside the tube after taking all of my items from the table. I can see the woman press something on the panel next to the tube. After a few seconds later, the tube started to glow.

A second later, I appear in the middle of an alley.
