CHAPTER 1

MALLORY'S POV

"It was settled. I'm going to love and be with him for the rest of my life. No more enemies. I want to let him know that I had and always will love him."

 I closed the book I was immersed in, it was pretty interesting though the main character Caroline was a fool for trusting Kelvin her neighbor. It all lead to an affair.

I sat up straight from the sofa which was in my room. I hadn't noticed how time had gone by already. I heard my stomach give out a loud growl. I headed down stairs to the kitchen. I found Maria the maid. I preferred calling her mother Maria because she has been the mother figure I'd needed in my whole life. 

"Hey Mother Maria."

  She smiled sweetly at me . Her green eyes lit up. 

"What's wrong Mallory dear do you need anything?" 

"Well I'm a bit hungry and I just wanted to have an apple pie."

"Well my sweet Mallory, we are all out of flour and I wasn't able to do some grocery shopping. I've had a back ache for sometime, I need to get back to my doctor."

"Don't worry Mother, I'll go down town to the grocery store to get some flour for you."

"But your father said..."

"I know what Dad said. Don't worry about it at all, I'll be back before you know it." 

"No Mallory. Mr. Marlon will get angry."

"Come on Mother. It's not like I'm a kid anymore, I am a university graduate for crying out loud." 

Mother Maria looked hesitant, she arranged her uniform and let out a sigh.

"Fine, but you have to be home before Mr. Marlon gets here." 

"I will, I promise." 

    I hurried out of the house and into my car. I drove off to the grocery store. While I was picking out the flour I needed, I noticed a guy staring at me from across the aisle. I just shook it off and picked out some all purpose flour. After I had paid the cashier, I was going to the parking lot when I heard footsteps. I hurried to my car and just when I opened my car door, I felt something hit my head hard. That was the last I remember cuz  everywhere went black.

TITI'S POV 

I sat in my car feeling like drowning myself. My best friend is crazy. Even though he is a little older than me it doesn't give him the right to abuse that fact. As I was immersed in thought, my phone rang.  It was my best friend Damien. I sighed and picked up the call. 

"What is it Damien?"

"Hey bro. I just wanted to know if you did what I asked."

" I've not done it yet I mean I'm not one of your guards or anything." 

"Don't be so cruel Titi, just get me the girl I need." 

   It was a very ridiculous thing to do but yes, Damien wanted a girl just to please his dumb desires. He wanted me to get a girl for him. 

"I'm not in the mood to kidnap anyone for you." 

"Please man just this one favor." 

"Ugh fine. But you'll owe me one." 

"Thanks so much bro. Right now I'm going for a meeting, I'll need you to get me the girl before the meeting ends."

Just when I was about to tell him not to boss me around, I caught sight of a girl who just got out of her car, she was at the parking lot to the grocery store.

"Umm... I'll get back to you." 

I hung up without waiting for him to say anything. I got out of my car and got into the grocery store after the girl. I followed her around and I think she kinda notice. I decided to keep a low profile. Thankfully when she went back to the parking lot, she wasn't aware of her surrounding. I used a bat which I kept in my car for special occasions like this. I hit her hard on the head causing her to pass out. I think I hit it too much. I carried her limp body into the back of my car and drove away.

*Well that was easy.* I thought
