Re Ch 8

A month ago, Nie Li was tested for cultivation talents, if he could cultivate then he would be provided with a cultivation technique by the family, or else he had to spend his life in the fields. During the test, it was discovered that Nie Li had a cyan soul realm, a very rare soul realm, and his talent was comparable to a genius.

After that, he was granted a cultivation technique by the main family to practice for a year. His future would be decided after the result testing after a year.

But just his cyan soul realm was enough to elevate the status of his family in the Heavenly Marks Family.

Looking at Nie Li's back, Nie Xiaori grumbled in annoyance. "Brother, why do you stop me? We should have taught him a lesson."

"We can't do that. Patriarch has his eyes on him. If you harm him, you'll be punished heavily." Xiaofeng said, his eyes flashing with a peculiar light.

Unlike his little brother, he wasn't fond of bullying Nie Li, just some harmless fun on occasion.

Nie Li returned home, and his mother and aunt were arranging dishes on the tables.

"You both are back. Great! Wash your hands and come to eat."

"Xiao Li, I know you have received practice technique from the family but don't be hasty, okay?... Even if you'll not be able to achieve something never lose hope, just keep moving forward."

While he was eating, Xiao Yun rubbed his hair and spoke slowly, her voice filled with tenderness.

"Always remember that this is your home and you can return here anytime."

Nie Li stopped eating and raised his head to look at her before nodding slowly.

Xiao Yun smiled and didn't speak any further. Even though he was trying to be sneaky, but she knew he was spending sleepless nights on cultivation. As a mother, even though she was proud of her son but she still couldn't stop her heart from being worried for him.

Nie Li also understood her heart and tried to assure her. He wasn't cultivating the technique provided by the family because not only it was trash and full of flaws but he was cultivating the soul energy.

The soul energy wasn't the same as the energy cultivated by others. He didn't know why people in this world addressed Dantian as the Soul Realm and the qi as soul energy. The soul energy was the energy associated with the Soul, and it was somewhat related to alchemy and inscriptions, completely different from the regular energy or qi cultivation.

Since Jason's main body was cultivating Qi and Physique, he let his clone cultivate the Soul. Only by cultivating all of them to the peak in perfect harmony, he would be able to break the shackles of Mortals and step into the path of Immortals in the future.

Rin had provided him with the 'Godly Sovereign Technique', one of the top three techniques used for Soul cultivation. The technique was created by one of the Dao Gods who walked the path of Alchemy, reaching a level that was previously unprecedented in history.

The clone had barely cultivated for a month and had already reached the second grade of mortal ranks. The levels in alchemy were different from Qi cultivation: Mortal Grade was divided into twelve layers, Emperor Grade was divided into six levels, followed by Sage Grade with three layers, then Immortal Grade was further divided into six layers, and at the end, God level was divided into four layers.

But according to that Dao God, there was still another level which he had failed to achieve in his life, leaving behind a legacy so his descendants could follow in his footsteps and achieve his dreams.

After lunch, Nie Li played with Nie Yu for some more time before returning to his room and focusing on cultivation. Chanting the Godly Sovereign Technique's mantra, his soul power surged as his divine consciousness expanded.

Golden tadpoles characters appeared around him forming an ancient formation around his entire body. His body was suspended in the air as the characters danced around him, seemingly alive and excited for some reason.

Nie Li's eyes were closed so he failed to see such a scene. He had already submerged into a deeper world, his mind extremely tranquil and calm state, completely free of the constraints of his surroundings.

The entire room seemed to be cut off from the world outside...

~~St. Ancestral Mountain~~

The entire mountain range was covered with a sheet of white as far as one could see. Bone-chilling cold winds were blowing all around signaling the season of winter. The entire St. Ancestral Mountain range was silent giving it a very eerie vibe.

It was the season of hibernation with most of the species already entered into deep periods of sleep.

In the deeper part of the mountain range stood an ancient ruin. In the middle of the ruins, there was a large empty field. In that field, there was a golden barrier that stood tall around a small place. It looked strong and sturdy with multiple golden characters embodied in it.

Looking closely, one could see a shadow inside that barrier.

Suddenly, a ripple spread all over the barrier, and the barrier dispersed, revealing the figure of a young man around the age of 12-13 years old. He was bare-chested revealing a robust physique covered with a dark jade aura, his muscles seemed to be holding a terrifying strength. His spiky long hair fell to his back, almost reaching the end of his back.

Jason slowly opened his eyes, revealing a blue left eye while the right was completely white with a clock-like symbol in between, akin to the eye of a devil. Unlike a clock which was divided into twelve parts, his eye was divided into sixteen, and currently, only two of them were flashing.

Whoosh!~

A huge avian figure landed in front of Jason and kneeled. It was a large blue bird with a height of over 12 meters. It had circular red eyes and a slightly big gray beak. On its chest is a mass of black, downy feathers. Between its forehead was a small weird-shaped mark, shaped like an Oni.

"Master, you're out!"

Jason gazed at the bird and nodded his head. The change he felt inside was the only testament that time even passed.

"It's been over six years since I left home. Now, it's finally time for me to return." Jason murmured, his eyes returning to normal.
