What Is This Strange Feeling?

Lucretia and Philip sat around one of the tables, having lunch together with their friends.

"I didn't know we will all meet here like this again." said Mike.

"Yeah..." they all chorused.

They continued with their lunch, laughing and giggling at each other's jokes. Just then, Daisy and her gang approached them.

"Hi... handsome..." said Daisy to Philip, putting a hand on his shoulder.

Lucretia and the others turned to look at them.

"How may we help you Daisy...?" Lucretia asked feeling jealous.

Daisy is a spoilt child of a glamorous family who does whatever she likes and gets what she wants by bulling others. They are like the girl gang of the school.

"I'm not here for you Lucretia...." she replied, turning back to Philip.

"Would you care giving me your contact?" she inquired from Philip indifferently.

"Sure..." replied Philip with a smile, took the phone and dialed his number.

Lucretia looked on and felt jealous. she stormed out of the canteen, feeling upset.

"Lucretia....!? he exclaimed

"Here you are Daisy....., let's get in contact." he hastily added and went after Lucretia.

"Hey....guys....?" called Mike in disappointment.

"I think I will also take my leave." said Mimie as she stood up, leaving to the library.

"Hey...wait for me girlfriend..." replied Crystal, running after Mimie.

Mike and Eugene were left alone at the table looking confused. Daisy turned to her friends smiling.

"Let's go girls....." she said and left to the classroom with her friends tailing after her

Philip caught up with Lucretia half way through the hall and held her back.

"Hey.....Luc, what's wrong with you..?

" Nothing Philip....., just feeling a little uncomfortably."

"What's wrong..? Feeling sick..?"asked Philip raising his hand to feel Lucretia's forehead.

"Nothing serious Philip, just a slight headache. I think I will skip class. I'm leaving to the infirmary."

"Okay.., let me send you..."

"No Philip..., I will go by myself." she replied and left.

Philip stood totally confused about the whole situation.

"What's wrong with her...." he murmured to himself, shrugged and left to his locker to get his books for the next class.

Lucretia walked dazedly to the infirmary, slammed herself on one of the beds and sighed.

"What's wrong with you Lucretia...?" she murmured to herself.

She sat there silently for a while. Suddenly, the door flew opened

"I guessed you will be here, and I was right." uttered Crystal as they stood at the entrance of the door.

"What are you doing here Crystal and Mimie? Did you girls skipped class? she asked, sitting apparently on the bed

" We came to check on you Lucretia... " answered Crystal as they took their seat beside her.

Lucretia sat quietly, looking down and stressed.

"I'm sorry for storming out on you guys earlier on.." said Lucretia raising her head to look at her friends

"Never mind Lucretia..., we understand you." replied Mimie.

Lucretia starred at her friends, smiled and nodded. There was a long silence for a while.

"Lucretia...?" called Mimie

"Uhm...? she mumbled.

" Do you like Philip....? she asked.

"What....." asked Lucretia looking stunned.

"Yeah...Lucretia, I think you are having a crush on Philip." murmured Crystal.

"What are you girls saying....?" she asked with a confused tone.

"Yes Lucretia..., if not, you wouldn't have been so jealous and furious at Daisy back there." said Crystal

"Think about it Lucretia...., we'll head back to class. It's almost closing." said Mimie.

Just then, they heard the bell rang.

"We've got to go Lucretia.., see you in class tomorrow. Bye." said Crystal.

"Okay...girls.."

Crystal and Mimie walked to the door and almost collided with Philip.

"Oh...you are here...." said Mimie with a smile.

"Yeah...., I'm here to get Luc."

"Okay....." they both chorused and left.

Philip moved to Lucretia's bed with her bag with him.

"How are you feeling now..?"

"I'm much better now.." she replied with a smile."

"That's good, let's go home., school has closed."

Lucretia stood up from the bed, reaching for her bag

"No...Luc..., let me help you with the bag."

"I'm okay Philip..., I can carry it.

" No Luc.., I insist..."

"Okay...,okay....do whatever you like." she replied, poking him

"o...kay...., let's go else we will miss the bus."

"Yes....sir...." she replied with a grin and they both rushed out of the infirmary.

Lucretia sat in the bus having flashbacks of what Crystal and Mimie told her.

"Could this feeling really be love....?" she murmured to herself, lost in thoughts and didn't hear Philip talking to her.

"Luc.....?Luc....?"

"Uhm....?

" Why are you drifting out of space. Are you still unwell...?" he asked, feeling Lucretia's forehead.

Lucretia starred dreamily at him like he has not seen him before.

"Why is my heart racing so fast....? What is this strange feeling? Is it really love...? What should I do with this feeling?"
