The Aftermath

Arousing from bed, Lucretia found herself in an unfamiliar room with practically nobody around. She glanced sceptically around as she winced from the pains rushing through her head. It was literally spinning around from the severe headache.

"Crystal...?" she called, holding her head as she glided out of bed. "Mimie...?" she continued to call but there was no reply. "Where is everybody?"

She made her way to the door slowly pushing it opened as she pecked through the corridor, finding it totally empty.

"What is this place? How did I get here?" she murmured to herself. Just then, she saw a neatly dressed lady passing by.

"Excuse me miss..."

The young lady stopped, glancing at her.

"How may I help you ma'am...?"

"Please...., what is this place?"

"This is M&J Guest house "

"Guest house...?" she queried in bemusement, wondering on how she got there. But before she could ask anymore questions, the lady had already left.

She hurried back to the room in search of her phone and bag. Founding it somewhere beside the bed, she picked the phone up as she sat on the bed not knowing what was going on.

She clicked on the screen of her phone and it displayed 15missed calls from her parents.

"Oh shit.."

She snatched her bag which was laying on the drawer and rushed out of the room. When she got to the main gate of the guest house, she stopped a cab and glided in.

"To Washington street." she said and the driver sped off.

***********

It was almost midday when Lucretia got home. Without wasting much time, she got out of the cab and rushed into the house.

Mr and Mrs Woods had been worried sick about their daughter. They have tried her line and her friends but couldn't get through to any of them. They were about to leave to Philip's house when the door slammed opened, revealing their daughter at the door.

"Luc...." they both chorused, rushing to her.

"Where have you been dear? We have been worried sick about you." queried Mr. Woods, critically examining his daughter.

"Yes dear, where have you been?" added her mother has they guided her to the sofa.

"I don't know what happened mum.. but I kind of got lost heading back home. I probably lost trace of Mimie and Crystal too."

"But are you okay...? Feeling unwell or anything?"

"No mum..." she glanced at her mother with a smile. "I just need a little rest."

"Alright dear, go take some rest now."

"Okay..." she nodded and went up to her room.

The day being Sunday, there was practically nothing much doing at home. She slowly pushed her door opened and sauntered in. Still wondering what had transpired during the party and how she ended at the guest house. She snapped out of her thoughts turning her gaze to the bed to see her bag and phone laying beside her. Just then, the thoughts of calling her friends came in mind.

"Let me try calling Mimie and Crystal. They might know what happened to me."

She quickly took it, dialling Crystal's number. After a short ring, she answered.

"Hey girl...but why...." she was about to say something when Lucretia hastily interrupted.

"Hold on and let me call Mimie so we have a conference call."

"O..kay...." she sceptically answered, keeping silent as Lucretia called Mimie's line. She also joined in after some seconds.

"Hey Luc...? Why did you left us behind yesterday?"

"Left you...? With whom?" she asked, taken aback by the new revelation.

"Yes Luc..." replied Crystal. "That was what I was about to ask you. We returned after dancing with the guys who came for us while we were standing with you and found you gone. I asked of you from Jayden and Philip and none of them seemed to know your whereabout. We asked Daisy and she said she saw you going out with an ebony hair dude."

"Yes Luc..." added Mimie, "We tried your line severally but it was off. We waited for you for a while and then received a message from you that you are home. Tell me, where did you go?"

Lucretia who didn't understand anything nor remember what they were talking gasped in shock, slightly chuckling.

"Is this some kind of a prank or something? I don't remember doing any of what you guys are talking about. Besides, you girls know I just don't go out with any random guy."

"We sure know that Luc but you kind of did this time. Or were you drunk?" queried Mimie.

The word "drunk" from Mimie's statement hinted up a flashback in her memory. Making her suddenly recollect some of the incident that to place at the party. "

"That drink..."

"What drink?" Both Mimie and Crystal questioned.

"I think I was drugged."

"By who? And Why drugged you?"

"I don't know Crystal...I just remember taking a glass of wine from a waiter. After taking in the drink, I kind of felt drowsy and didn't know what happened again afterwards."

"This is crazy Luc...we all had our share of that glass of wine but nothing happened. Are you sure it was from that wine?"

"I am Mimie.., can you believe I woke up this morning to find myself in a guest house?"

"What..?" They exclaimed.

"Yes girls..., I don't remember how I got there and what happened but didn't see anybody when I woke up."

"This is weird Luc..." commented Crystal. "If I listen more to what you're saying, it sounds like a planned thing. This is the more reason I said you shouldn't believe Daisy. Trust me, I found her repentance kind of strange."

"I know but we shouldn't rush in pointing fingers now. Let's found out what happened first. It's might not be her doings."

"Okay, okay, however you want it. But believe it or not, Daisy have a hand in this." said Mimie

"Alright girls..let's meet up in school tomorrow so we can figure a way to find out what happened."

"Okay...,see you tomorrow then." said Mimie and they both hanged up.

Lucretia sighed as she laid her back on the bed, staring thoughtfully at the ceiling.

"Hope I get to the bottom of this."

The rest of the day passed by with Lucretia staying indoors due to the bad headache she had. Philip came to visit as he has always been doing for quiet some time now and had the same story as Mimie and Crystal.

He had wanted to know more about her whereabout yesterday but she refused to talk about it. He felt bad thinking Lucretia was keeping something from him but hid that emotion. Jayden also called to check on her since he was also worried.

She laid on her bed, exhausted of the day's activity and the worse part was the headache which felt like her head was about to explode. Though her parents gave her some first aids, she still felt bad. They offered to send her to the hospital but she also refused.

The day was already over, she checked the clock hanging in her room and it was almost 10pm. She pulled the blanket over her body and slowly drifted off to sleep.

**************

It was around 6:50am when the alarm woke Lucretia up from sleep. She glided out of bed feeling much better from the headache and sauntered to the washroom. Still drowsy and not fully awake, she briskly brushed her teeth and washed her face.

She continued to the shower and freshen up. After some few minutes, she returned to her room. She applied some pomade and got into her uniform, gathering her hair into a bun. She went over to the drawer beside her bed and took the assignments given to them over the weekends and stuffed hem into her bag. When she had gotten everything she needed, she glided out of her room to the dinning table.

"Good morning Mum..., Good morning Dad.."

"Good morning dear, how was your sleep?"

"Good Dad.." she commented.

After some few minutes of eating, she checked her time and she was about to run late for her first lesson. Moreover, she will be walking to school alone since Philip had to leave early for his early morning lessons. She hurriedly picked her bag, slightly pushing the plate aside as she stood up.

"Leaving now, bye guys..."

"Byee... dear." they chorused but she had already left.

It was 7:05 when Lucretia got to the school. Fortunately for her, she got to he bus stop the exact time the bus pulled up which prevented her from being late.

She walked through the compound to the corridor of the hall and found every student she met on her way practically staring weirdly at her which she found discomforting.

"Why is everybody staring weirdly at me? Did I do something wrong?"

She thought to herself as she walked the hallway to her locker. To her outmost surprise, she met students in groups of two or three staring at their phones and back to her as they mumbled something which she seem not to hear.

She got to the locker to meet Mimie and Crystal standing staring down on their phones, quiet surprised.

"Do you guys know what's going on here? I had the stares of the whole students body on me while walking over here." she queried, not really paying attention to the expressions on their faces.

They both glanced at her and back to the phone.

"You have to see this." said Crystal as she handed her the phone.

Lucretia gazed quizzically at them before glancing back at the phone. She touched the screen and it displayed a picture of herself in bed with a man in an erotic position. Her eyes quickly flew wide opened in shock.

"This, this..." she stammered as she tried to explain herself to her friends.

She suddenly saw their gaze over her shoulders and she slowly turned to see Philip behind her.

"Phil...this..." she muttered but Philip shook his head in disgust and rushed off.

"Phil... wait, Phil..., Phil..." she tried to go after him but tripped and fell. She instinctively broke into tears, "This is not true Phil..." the last words escaped from her mouth amidst tears.

Crystal and Mimie rushed to her, kneeling beside her as they comfort her.

"This is not true Crystal... Trust me." she cried.

"I know Luc..." they hugged her. "Put yourself together first Luc..." They consoled her but her tears couldn't just be stopped.
