Reunion

Lucretia was chatting and giggling with her parents when she heard a voice called her from behind. She swiftly turned to the voice of the call.

"Linsey....., Anita...." she exclaimed ecstatically and rushed off towards them.

She bounced on them, laughing as she pulled them into a hug.

"I've missed you girls so much." she muttered as she drew back from the hug.

"Same here Lucretia." replied Linsey with a grin.

"Wow...Lucretia, you've grown so much. You kind of looked small during our video calls but seeing you now, wow..." uttered Anita wittily.

"Talk of you girls too, you're looking so good." she mumbled and hugged them again.

They were still chatting and laughing when Mr and Mrs Woods joined them.

"How was your flight girls?" queried Mrs. Angelica .

"It was great Auntie and the view was so beautiful when it was landing." answered Linsey with a grin.

"Yes Aunt, it was so amazing." added Anita.

"That's good dear. It's great you enjoyed your flight."

"Thank you Uncle." they both mumbled in unison.

"I think we should go now so that you girls can have some rest, you might be tired." he added.

"Yes girls, I will show you around later." muttered Lucretia.

"Sure." responded Anita.

"Here, let's go." murmured Mrs. Angelica as she gestured them over. Anita and Linsey dashed off with Lucretia, followed by her parents. Mr. Gilbert unlocked the car as they neared it. Linsey, Lucretia and Anita took their seats at the back whiles Mrs. Angelica joined her husband at the front. They settled in and drove off with Lucretia and her friends chatting.

"So.., how are your parents doing?" questioned Mrs. Angelica.

"They are doing great Aunt, they extend their warm regards to you and Uncle." answered Anita.

"That's good to hear. Hope school has also been good."

"Yes Aunt..., it was a so far so good semester with no special happening."

"Hmm....? What about your younger siblings? How are they all faring?"

Lucretia waits impatiently for her mother to end her questioning but she seem not to stop. She kept going and going.

"Mum...." she stressed.

"Enough already, I need some time with my friends too." she mumbled.

"Okay.., okay dear. I get you." she replied and stopped interrupting them.

"So Luc, what about your friend? I thought you would be coming with him to meet us but you didn't." asked Linsey.

"Who? Philip?"

"Yeah.., you were head over hills with him you know?" added Anita.

"Well...,he has not been in good terms with me for a while now."

"Why?, What happened?" queried Linsey.

"Let's talk about it when we get home. For now, let's just talk about us." she mumbled with a smile.

"Okay, Okay, if you say so." commented Anita and they continued the rest of the journey home chatting and laughing.

***********

After about an hour drive, Mr. Gilbert pulled up in front of their house.

"Here we are girls..." he uttered.

Linsey and Anita glanced through the glass marveled at the building before their eyes.

"Wow...." they mumbled in unison as they stepped out of the car together with Lucretia and her parents.

"This is so beautiful Lucretia." uttered Linsey, turning her gaze to Lucretia.

"I know right? The company gave it to us. Come, let's get in." she muttered, helping them with their luggage as they trod into the house with her friends following suit.

Mr and Mrs Woods stood starring at them as they entered the house chatting.

"I hope this helps her to calm down. Of late, she looks stressed and disturbed." remarked Mrs. Angelica.

"Don't worry dear, she is going to be fine. Her friends are here now." assured Mr. Gilbert.

"Come, let's get in." he added and dashed into the house together with his wife.

"Mum.., we'll be in my room. You can call me if you need anything." said Lucretia as she gilded the stairs together with her friends.

"Okay dear..." she mumbled as she watched them leave.

Lucretia turned the knob of her door and slowly opened it.

"Come in." she mumbled, gliding in.

Linsey and Anita followed her in, glancing across the room.

"Your room is so beautiful Lucretia." said Anita as she dropped their luggage down.

"Thank you." she replied, slamming herself on the bed.

"So tell me Luc, what happened between you and your friend?" questioned Linsey as she went over and sit beside Lucretia on the bed.

"Yeah..Luc, what happened?"

"Well..." she mumbled, sitting up.

"He..." she began, telling them everything that's happening between Philip and her."

"I don't think he will ever talk to me again." she added dully.

"Don't think that way Luc..." mumbled Linsey.

"I don't know who that arrogant Daisy is but I'm so hating her right now." added Anita.

"Don't worry Lucretia, we'll help you." muttered Linsey.

"And how are you going to do that?" queried Lucretia, starring curiously at them.

"Hey...chill girl..."uttered Anita with a grin.

"Come Luc, let's make a plan." mumbled Linsey smiling smugly.
