Rage

Lucretia ran to the summer hut in the school and sat on the bench sobbing. Meanwhile, Mimie and Crystal had been running through the whole school in search of her but couldn't find her anywhere.

"Where could she be?" they both wondered, glancing around.

Crystal starred quizzically at Mimie in deep thought.

"Or could she be..."

"at the infirmary?" questioned Mimie hastily, chipping in.

"Just what I was wondering. C'mon, let's go and check."responded Crystal.

They turned to leave but immediately paused in their tracks, noticing Lucretia at the summer hut in tears.

"Poor Lucretia..." mumbled Mimie with a sigh.

"Let's go over and cheer her up." muttered Crystal to Mimie. She nodded in response.

They both slowly moved to her side and settled beside her with Crystal at her right and Mimie at her left which had her in between them.

Crystal gently patted her on the shoulder, consolingly. Lucretia slowly glanced at Crystal and Mimie with tears in her eyes.

"Why is Philip treating me like this? He didn't even asked what happened." she mumbled amidst tears.

"He is just being a jerk Lucretia, don't let him bring you down." commented Crystal.

"You don't understand Crystal. Philip and I have been friends since childhood and he meant everything to me. Anybody can think ill of me but not Philip. He knows me more than that Crystal.

So I don't understand why he is treating me this way." she cried.

"Calm down Lucretia..., I think it'll be best you skip the rest of the class. I'll make an excuse for you." uttered Crystal.

"No Crystal....,I can't skip class."

"You should Lucretia....." mumbled Mimie, taking Lucretia's hand into hers.

"I agree with Crystal. It's the best option for you now. You need some time alone to put yourself together. Um....?"

Lucretia sat quietly for a while thinking about what her friends said as she wiped the tears from her eyes.

"Okay...if you girls insist." she mumbled reluctantly.

"Okay..., let's go get your bag." muttered Crystal, standing up from her seat. She held out her hand to Lucretia with a smile. Lucretia smiled slightly and reached for it. She pulled her up and they strolled away to the class followed by Mimie.

The rest of the students were yet not back from lunch when they got to their class. Mimie and Crystal walked with Lucretia to her seat. She took her bag and packed her assignment books into into it leaving only the geography textbook.

"Don't worry, I'll return that back to your locker for you." mumbled Mimie, taking the book from her.

"Thank you Mimie." she uttered dully.

"See you girls tomorrow." she added, slowly walking out of the class.

"Don't think too much Lucretia..." exclaimed Crystal.

"Okay..." she uttered faintly, her back disappearing from the class.

Lucretia was half way through the corridor when she met Daisy with her friends.

"I told you not to mess with me Lu..cre..tia.."she muttered smugly, her friends giggling beside her.

Lucretia snubbed, ignoring as she tried passing by her but was immediately blocked by Daisy.

"Not so fast loser..." she whispered.

Lucretia sighed and folded her arms with a glare at Daisy as she(Lucretia) raged with anger but restrained herself not to cause any more scenes.

Daisy starred at her face and smiled. She drew closer and leaned towards her.

"I will make him hate you more than he does now." she whispered into her ears and drew back, searching her face as she smiled mockingly at her.

Lucretia glared furiously.

"Are you done blabbing?" she uttered indignantly, seizing Daisy.

"I don't waste my time on brats like you." she added, brushed her aside and strolled off.

"I pit you Daisy..." mumbled Lucretia over her shoulder as she walked away.

Daisy stood furiously as she watched Lucretia's back fade out of the corridor, feeling hurt by her(Lucretia's) words.

"Crazy bitch..." she mumbled furiously and stormed off to the class, followed by Nelly and Nikita.

***********

Mimie and Crystal were almost at the locker room when they heard someone calling from behind. They quickly turned to see Jayden approaching them.

"Have you girls seen Lucretia? I've been searching the whole school for her since I saw her stormed out of the canteen in tears." he queried as he neared them.

"Oh...about that. Well..., we asked her to go home. She wasn't looking too good." answered Crystal.

"Yeah...Jayden, she will feel better at home." added Mimie.

Jayden stared at them for a while and sighed.

"Okay...that's also good. Now tell me, what really happened that made her so upset?" he queried anxiously.

"Um...." mumbled Mimie and Crystal as they swiftly stared at each other.

"Should we tell him?" queried Mimie, whispering to Crystal.

"Mm...I'm listening.." gestured Jayden with a raised eyebrow, interrupting.

"I think we shouldn't Mimie. It's not a good idea." replied Crystal, whispering to Mimie. But before Crystal could say more, Mimie spoke up.

"Well..., this was how it went." she uttered, narrating everything that occurred in the canteen between Daisy, Lucretia and Philip.

"What...?" he exclaimed furiously.

"I won't have Philip treat Lucretia like some kind of garbage. Where the hell is he?" he added.

Crystal was bemused by Jayden's reaction. She noticed the raging anger on his face and tried to stop Mimie who had not noticed, from saying more but the words just flipped out of her mouth.

"I think he is in the football team locker room."

"Mimie...." exclaimed Crystal as she slightly pulled her hand.

"What are you doing...?" she hastily added quizzically, gesturing Mimie with her eyes to watch the expression on Jayden's face.

"I will see you girls later." he mumbled and furious dashed off.

"Oh my God, oh my God...Crystal..What have I done?" she queried anxiously.

"You should have watched your mouth Mimie....Let's hope he doesn't do anything stupid." she mumbled scornfully and raced after Jayden.

"Jayden.....Jayden....wait" she exclaimed as she bolted off.

"Oh my God..., you should have been more careful Mimie." uttered Mimie, rebuking herself as she hit her mouth.

"We have to stop him before things get out of hand." she added and dashed off after Crystal.
