The bell went off.

Lucretia stood up from her chair and went over to the Liberian.

"Can I borrow this book, please." she asked with a smile as she got to the counter where the Liberian sat.

"Sure...here, write your details here. Then, you can take it." uttered the Liberian, handing the records book to Lucretia.

"Okay...."

Lucretia took the records book and wrote down her details.

"Here you are Mrs Nightingale.." she uttered with a grin and handed the records book back to her.

"You can have the book now."

"Thank you...Mrs Nightingale.., bye..." she replied and dashed off to where her friends sat in wait for her.

"Let's go..." she muttered as she neared them, picking her bag from the chair.

They left the library laughing and giggling.

The library was a few walk from their classroom block. They were half way through the corridor to the classroom when Daisy and her friends approached her.

"Phew..., just who we were looking for." mumbled Crystal sarcastically, rolling her eyes.

"What do you want again Daisy...?" questioned Lucretia indifferently.

"Huh..., like she doesn't know." mumbled Daisy smugly, turning to her friends who were standing beside her.

"Aren't you being too much Daisy...? Cut it out already. We all here knows Lucretia here and Philip have been friends since childhood and best friends at that." uttered Crystal indignantly.

"Stop being so dramatic and a bossy girlfriend." Mimie hastily added.

Daisy got so furious with their words and lifted her hand to slap Mimie.

"Oh...no.., you don't." said Lucretia as she held Daisy's hand midway.

She drew closer to her still holding a firm grip on her hand. She leaned closer and whispered into her eyes.

"Oops...,sorry girlfriend.., I'm the best friend over here and I get to do so many things together with him. Moreover, I know him more than you do and I know he hates bitches with repulsive attitudes like you." she mumbled, dropped Daisy's hand and dashed off with her friends.

Daisy and her friends turned and watched on furiously as they left.

"I will so deal with you Lucretia..." she mumbled indignantly

"Calm down Daisy..., we have your back." murmured Nakita, Daisy's friend.

They got to the class and met the guys already in class. Lucretia's met Jayden's gaze on entering the class and smiled. Jayden with a grin, gestured her over.

Philip watched on in outer bewilderment.

"what the hell...?" he mumbled to himself

"what has come over her?" he added himself.

Mike saw his reaction and chuckled a little.

It was almost 3pm, the long awaited closing bell went off.

"Read from pages 101- 103 and do the assignments from there. I'll be expecting it tomorrow." uttered Mrs. Lily.

"Okay..., ma'am..." the class mumbled in unison.

"See you think tomorrow.." added the teacher and left.

Lucretia looked over from her desk to Mimie and Crystal.

"Are you girls going together with me?" she murmured.

" I don't think so Lucretia" uttered Crystal, wiggling her eyebrow quizzically gesturing her to turn back.

" What....?" she exclaimed turning back to look at what Crystal was gesturing her towards but paused what she was about say when she saw who was standing in front of her.

" oh..Phil...what is it..?"she added, puzzled.

He leaned closer to her with his face directly facing her ignoring Jayden.

"Um...., why? Now, can't I go home together with my best friend anymore?" he queried, wiggling his eyebrow with a bright smile.

Lucretia couldn't help starring in his bright eyes dreamily.

"what is he doing..? My heart is beating so fast, I hope he doesn't hear it" she thought to herself.

She was brought back to reality when Philip ruffled her hair teasingly.

"Um...?" he mumbled.

"Go away....dumb head.." she uttered sarcastically, pushing his face away from hers.

"Ow...." mumbled Philip.

"What about your sweet Daisy...?" she queried teasingly.

"Well..., she..um....had...somewhere to go." he replied slowly speaking.

"Um..., I see..." she replied skeptically, looking over Philip's shoulder with a smirk.

"No I don't.." answered Daisy who was standing behind Philip, wearing a grumpy face.

He got startled and quickly turned to face her.

"oh..,Daisy...." he exclaimed with a smile, taking her hand into his.

Lucretia chuckled slightly and shook her hand.

"I think you should go with your date. I will go with Jayden and my friends."she uttered, sneering mischievously at Daisy.

Daisy starred venomously at her.

"Let's go Philip...." he muttered furiously, dragging Philip along with her.

Lucretia starred at them as they walked away, her smiles gradually faded away.

"Are you okay...?" queried Jayden.

"Yes..." she nodded with a smile.

"Okay.., let's go now else we'll miss the bus."

"Okay..." she replied, standing up from her seat and picked her bag.

"You guys should go first. Mimie and I have to pass by the grocery store before going home."

"Okay..., take care girls.." she muttered as she and Jayden dashed off.

They walked over to the bus stop laughing and giggling. Philip saw them from afar in Daisy's car. He starred indignantly at them helplessly as he watched them got onto the bus and took their seats as the bus drove off.

After some few minutes of driving, the bus got to Jayden's stop but he didn't get off.

"Jayden....? Aren't you suppose to get off here?" queried Lucretia, looking a little puzzled.

"Yes...." he slowly replied with a raised eyebrow.

"Then..., why are you still on the bus..?" she uttered with a baffled look.

"Because..., I'm taking you home. I didn't get the chance to do that the other time." he added.

"Hey..., are you crazy.." she questioned, bemused.

"My house is about 40mins drove from here." she added.

"So....? I just want to take you home, please...?"he uttered pleadingly.

Lucretia looked keenly at him and shrugged in surrender.

" Okay..." she uttered.

"Thank you..."

They continued their journey chit chatting until they got to Lucretia's stop. The bus pulled up and they got off. After some few walks, they got to Lucretia's house.

"Okay..., here we are..." she uttered with a sheepish smile as they got to her house.

" Oh..., that's nice house you have. Then I'll see you tomorrow."

"Ow..., aren't you coming in?"

"No.., I think some other time. I just received a text from my mum to come home so I'll rush off."

"Okay..., thank you..."

She smiled as he watched him leave and dashed off into the house.

"Lucretia..., is that you?" queried her mother as she slammed the door opened.

"Yes...mum..." she answered, walking over to her mother who was in the living room.

"Good afternoon, mum..." she uttered as she slammed herself beside her on the sofa.

"Guess what dear..., I have good news for you." said Mrs. Angelica.

"Spill it mum..." she responded excitedly.

"I received a cal from Lindsay and Anita. They said they will be coming over to visit during the summer holidays."

"Really...?" she exclaimed, stood up from the sofa in excitement and dashed off.

"I will be in my room, mum..." she exclaimed as she rushed upstairs.

"Okay...dear....,careful with the stairs..." called Mrs Angelica after her, smiling.

"Okay..,mum..." she replied and left to her room.
