First Day OF High School
FOURTEEN YEARS LATER
Lucretia was asleep when she heard someone shouting her name outside the window.
"Hey....Lucretia...., wake up sleepy head...."the voice exclaimed.
Lucretia shrugged lazily from bed to the window with her hair all messed up and leaned on the window.
"Philip....." she expressed
"Lucretia..., what are you still doing in bed? It's our first day of high school, we will be late."
"oh...my...God...Philip, I almost forgot. I will be right out soon, come in and wait for me." she answered and rushed off to the washroom.
Philip shook his head smiling and went into the house.
"Good morning Mrs. Angelica.."
"Good morning Philip, how are you?"
"I'm fine..." he replied with a grin and sat on the sofa.
"Lucretia....,Lucretia...." Mrs. Angelica called but was interrupted by Philip
"I have already called her mum..." answered Philip
"oh, okay dear." she replied leaving him to the backyard.
Few minutes later, Lucretia rushed downstairs all dressed up.
"We are leaving mum...." said Lucretia dragging Philip after her.
"Bye... Mrs Angelica....." said Philip
"Bye...dear, take care..."
"Okay...Mum....." replied Lucretia rushing out of the house with Philip.
"Hurry up Philip, else we'll be really late."
"oh....see who is talking now, our miss universe who made us late." said Philip sarcastically.
"hey....stop playing"she replied giggling
" Okay...., how about we race to the bus terminal. The winner will have to buy lunch today."
"Sure....I know I will definitely win"
"Okay...let's see about that." replied Philip but before he could say any more words, Lucretia took off.
"See....you....at the bus...terminal, loser.." shouted Lucretia with a grin
"hey...Luc...." shouted Philip and ran after her.
"Catch me if you can.....!" replied Lucretia
They both got to the bus terminal panting
"I won..., you owe me lunch Mr. right.." shouted Lucretia
"You are such a cheat..." replied Philip laughing.
Some students were already at the bus terminal when they got there. They stood there chit chatting and giggling while waiting for the bus.
"Lucretia....?" a voice called from behind.
They both turned and it was Mimie.
"Mimie....." they both exclaimed.
"What..are you doing here..?" asked Lucretia with a surprised look.
"I'm here to catch the bus, we're in the same high school." she replied with a grin.
"Oh..that's great." replied Philip.
Just then, the bus pulled up in front of them.
"The bus is here now." said Philip and they all went in.

DALTON HIGH SCHOOL
The bus pulled up and all the students got off.
"Wow..., this place is so cool." said Mimie.
"Yeah...anyway, what class are you in? asked Philip.
" I'm in 1A." replied Mimie
"Then I guess we're all heading to the same class." said Lucretia
Their conversation was interrupted by the ring of the bell.
"Oh..shit.., we've got to go and look for our class now." exclaimed Mimie.
"Don't worry Mimie, our map is right.....here." she replied patting Philip's back.
"Seriously...? Lucretia..." expressed Philip
"Hey...guys...don't start with your jokes, we are already late." replied Mimie.
They both smiled at Mimie.
" Okay...,Okay..., let's go.." said Lucretia.
They all went into the school. Few minutes later, they found their class. They got to the class and found Eugene, Mike and Crystal.
"Hey.....Are we having a school reunion over here." asked Lucretia with and smile.
"I guess so..." replied Mimie with a grin.
They all went over to their friends. Lucretia and Mimie went over to Crystal whiles Philip went over to his friends. They were having their little chitie chat when the teacher walked in.
"Hi...settle down everyone..."
All the students rushed to their seats. Lucretia took her seat beside Philip. They have been sitting together since grade 2.
"Let's start by introducing ourselves. I'm Lora, your homeroom teacher. Now, your turn. Let's
start from the right."
The students took turns to introduce themselves.
" That's great, today is your first day in high school and I wish you all the best. Let's take care of each other."
"Yes...ma'am..." they all replied in unison.
Just then the bell went off for lunch.
"You can go out now for your lunch" said Lora and left.
"Uhm...Uhm.." sighed Lucretia, clearing her throat.
"Someone owes me lunch." said Lucretia turning to face Philip who was busily packing his books into his bag. He stopped midway and turned to face Lucretia.
"I know...., you cheat..."he replied with grin, spanked Lucretia on the head and ran off.
"Hey...., let me spank you back" replied Lucretia running after him.
