Emotions And Old Friends

The walk to the bus stop was a bit slow and long one with them still talking about Philip and how to help him feel better. They finally concluded in convincing Lucretia to come back to the States.

It was already past 4:30pm when they finally arrived at their destination. Barely did they take their stand under the shade of the waiting area that the bus pulled up in front of them.

Mimie in the lead as always whenever boarding the bus was about to glide in when she noticed Jayden and Crystal still rooted in their spot. "Hey," She halted in her tracks. "aren't you guys getting on board?" She queried, totally confused.

"No," Jayden replied. "We have other plans. Just came to see you off." He winked, snaking his hand around Crystal's waist; pulling her closer with which he landed a kiss on her cheeks and she simpered.

Mimie instinctively scoffed, "You guys are totally unbelievable. Just started and you're already treating me like the third wheel. Whatever, I...." She was just starting with the whinning when the voice of the driver snapped in. "Leaving or not?" He yelped. Which was obvious enough that he was irritated by their delay to get on board.

They swiftly glanced at him with an apologetic look before Mimie gazed back at Jayden and Crystal with a deadpan look. "Will deal with you guys later." She scrunched up her face and hurriedly went on the bus, settling on the next empty seat beside the window.

Jayden and Crystal waved at her and she waved back with a smile as the bus sped off. Not long has the bus left that a black Mercedes-Benze C43 AMG pulled up. "Our ride is here." He brightened. "Hope you're ready to meet my parents."

"I was born forever ready." She joked and they both smiled. "Of course you were."He pricked her cheeks and lead her into the car. They both settled in the back seat and the chauffer drove off.

Mrs. Raina was laying in the sofa in the hall with a Christian magazine in hand when the door cracked opened with Philip walking in. "Oh dear you...." She mumbled on seeing him but then, the look on his face made her paused midway with whatever she was about to say.

"Good evening mum–" He muttered, strolling towards the stairs with an obviously brooding look. Mrs. Raina's forehead furrowed, putting the magazine aside. "What's good about this evening with you looking like that?" She sat up. " It looks more like a bad evening. Tell me, what's wrong with you?

Philip stopped in his tracks noticing the concerned look on his mother's face but he couldn't be bothered more by it. Knowing well there was no help his mother could offer. "It's nothing mum–" He stressed, continuing his walk. Mrs. Raina wasn't convinced by his reply but shrugged anyway, going back to what she was doing earlier on as Philip glided the stairs. Just on laying down, a remembrance on the information on Lucretia's departure from her parents struck. "Huh Phil–," She mumbled with her face still buried in the magazine, "Totally forgot about this. Lucretia's parents came here earlier on that she will be relocating back to Australia." She added and Philip halted midway through the stairs, deftly turning to glance at his mother. He couldn't bring his mind to comprehend that she forgot an important information like that.

He scoffed, "I can't believe you forgot something as important as this mum–" he grumbled.

"Oh?" Mrs. Raina snapped in sharply in disbelief with Philip turning on his heels as he continued on the stairs to his room. She didn't really know what she did bad in forgetting to inform him besides, he should be the one informing her and not the other way round. "Come to think of it," She hastily chipped in, calling after Philip who was almost through to the corridor which leads to his room. "How come you didn't know about it. Thought you guys were best friends. If I should remember correctly, you two were always in each other's company since childhood. Did you fight or something?" She queried but was ignored as Philip glided to the corridor, heading to his room. "What's with him?" she grumbled to herself. "Anyway, hurry and come down soon for supper." She shouted.

At that moment, Philip had gotten to his door. "I'm not hungry." She heard him exude and the next thing that followed was the slamming of his door shut with great force. Mrs. Raina slightly shook her head with a sigh and relaxed herself back in the sofa.

PHILIP'S ROOM

Slamming his door shut, he leaned on it. Glancing up at the ceiling as the tears he had been holding back for so long freely followed. He slowly slides on the door to the floor, broken beyond repairs.

"Is this really the end?" This thought kept running through his mind.

After long hours of being on the plan, it finally landed on the soils of Australia. The air hostess announced their arrival and soon everybody glided out of the plane. Lucretia sauntered into the airport with her luggage and true to her parents' words, Linsey and Anita were in wait for her.

Anita was the first to spot her since Linsey was busy jabbing about another cute boy at school which Anita found a bit irritating. "Luc–" Her face brightened with a broad smile which made Linsey also turned deftly to the direction of her gaze as she rushed off.

Lucretia chuckled as they run into a hug. She was super excited to be back home once again after so many years away. She missed her old friends and all the fun they had. "See you–" She scrutinized her friends appearance after breaking from the hug. "You guys are really looking great. " She giggled and they broke into witty chatters. Suddenly, Lucretia raised a quizzical eyebrow at Anita. "Judging from the expression on your face when I earlier walked in," She muttered, swiftly glancing at Linsey then back to Anita. "I can tell Linsey was at it again right."

Anita snarled softly, " I bet you need not to be told. Trust me," She nodded softly. "She can go about this all the long without getting tired." She joked and they both roared into laughter whiles Linsey wore a deadpan look. "Guess I'm not needed here." She muttered and strolled off.

"Hey–" Anita chuckled, dramatically raising her hands mid- air. "I was just joking." She went after her. Lucretia softly chuckled, slightly shaking her head. "Crazy girls." She grumbled and followed after them. There was nothing more she could wish for herself than a sound and peaceful mind with which she knew relocating was the best option.

Moreover, she can get over her feelings for Philip this way which was the main basis for her moving away from her parents.

She draped her hands around their shoulders when she caught up with them and they sauntered out of the airport with witty chatters.
