Building Good Friendship Bond
Lucretia ran back to the house feeling hurt and disappointed and headed straight to her room.
"Lucretia..., Lucretia..." her mum called after her but she just ran crying to her room.
Mrs. Angelica rushed to her daughter's room to check on her. She met her lying face down on the bed crying
"Lucretia.....?" she called and went over to her. she lifted her up to sit on the bed.
"What's happened Sweetheart?" asked Mrs. Angelica
"Mum.., it's Philip. He promised to come and play with me but he didn't."
"It's okay Sweetheart, don't think too much. He may be busy or something."
"Are you sure mum." she snuffed
"Yes Sweetheart." Mrs Angelica assured
"Okay mum" she replied smiling
"That's my girl, let's go have dinner now."
She nodded and followed her mum back to the dinning table and had their dinner.

Lucretia was already in class lying face down on the table when Philip came in. He walked to his table and took his seat beside her.
"Lucretia.....?" he called but was ignored by her.
"I'm sorry for yesterday Lucretia, something came up that's why I couldn't come over to play with you." he continued by saying even though he was ignored.
Lucretia slowly raised her head on hearing this
"Really? I thought you didn't want to be my friend any more." Lucretia sulkily replied
"That's not it Lucretia. Something really came up.." he replied
"Okay...., I have forgiven you."said Lucretia
" Thank you. Uhmm..., how about I make it up to you."
"And how are you going to do that?" she asked
"My parents and I will be going to the fun fair this Saturday, will you care to join?"
"Sure...!" she replied smiling happily
Just then, their teacher walked in and asked them to settle down for their class activities.
They continued class for the next one hour and the bell went off for lunch.
"See you after lunch." said Philip to Lucretia
" okay.." she replied with a nod and Philip left with her friends.
Lucretia was still sitting in her chair with no attempt of moving from her seat when her friends walked over to her
"Won't you go for lunch?" asked Mimie
"No Mimie, I think I will skip."
"Why Lucretia, aren't you feeling well today? asked Crystal
" I'm fine Crystal, I just don't feel like going out for lunch." she replied
"Okay Lucretia, then we will go now. Would you like us to get you anything when returning?" asked Mimie
"No Mimie, I'm okay."
"Okay....., then see you after lunch." they both replied and left to the canteen.
Few minutes later, the bell rang for the students to go back to their classrooms. Lucretia was reading a book when someone held a box of juice in front of her.
"Have it.." said a voice
She lifted her heard and it was Philip
"I saw that you didn't go for lunch today so I got you this." he replied with a smile, handed over the juice to her and sat down.
"Thank you." she replied with a smile and opened the juice.
They continued with the rest of their class activities. It was already 3pm, the bell went off and all the students rushed off like lighting to the bus whiles others were picked by their parents. Lucretia also picked her bag to leave to the bus.
"Wait Lucretia, my mum is picking me up today. Would you like to come with us or you still would like to go with the bus?"
"Sure..., I will join you." she replied
"Okay..., let's go then."
Lucretia and Philip got out and met Philip's mum already waiting for them.
"See you guys tomorrow." they both chorused to their friends and moved towards the car
" Good afternoon mum..." They both chorused on getting to the car.
"Good afternoon Sweetheart." his mum replied
"Mum..., this is Lucretia. My new friend and our next door neighbor and I want her to ride with us." said Philip introducing Lucretia to his mother.
"Wow..., that's nice. Nice to meet you Lucretia." she replied with a smile.
"Thank you.." she replied gleefully.
"Sure Lucretia, hop in and let's go together." said Philip's mum smiling. Lucretia and Philip got into the car and Mrs. Raina drove off.
"Mum.., can Lucretia join us tomorrow for the fun fair?" asked Philip
"Sure son..." she replied
The rest of the journey continued with Philip and Lucretia chit chatting and giggling in the car. Soon, the car pulled up in front of Lucretia's house.
"We are here." said Mrs. Raina to Lucretia.
"I will go now Philip, see you tomorrow."
"Okay..." he replied
Lucretia got off the car and waved Philip goodbye. She waited for the car to leave before going into her house.
"Good evening mum.." said Lucretia as she got into the house
"Good evening Sweetheart.." her mum replied coming from the backyard
" I saw a car dropped you off. Who was it? asked Mrs. Angelica
"It was Philip and his mum." she replied with a smile.
"Okay dear." Mrs. Angelica replied
"Mum..., I want to ask for your permission to go on a fun fair trip with Philip and her family. Please....., can I....?" she queried with a jolly voice.
"Sure Sweetheart.."
"yea....Thank you mum.' she exclaimed happily and ran upstairs to her room to change.
