A step To Take

"So how are you feeling now?" questioned Jayden as they walked over to the classroom.

"Much better Jay..I.." but before she could complete her statements, Mimie jumped on her from behind.

"Boo.." exclaimed Mimie.

"Mimie...." exclaimed Lucretia as she jumped up startled.

"Did I scare you?" she uttered with a grin.

"Mm..., was that a question you should be asking?" uttered Lucretia slightly pulling Mimie's ear teasingly.

"Ouch..., it's hurts." uttered Mimie sarcastically with a giggle.

"That's more like you Lucretia." uttered Crystal as she chipped in.

"You should always be smiling like this." she added.

"Hi...girls..., it seems you have forgotten someone over here." uttered Jayden drawing their attention to himself.

"Oops.., sorry Jay..we didn't mean to." said Mimie with a grin.

"Don't mind them Jay, they are always like this." muttered Lucretia.

"Hey..Lucretia, don't be a bad friend over here. You should be helping us." mumbled Crystal fixing a serious face.

They all bust into laughter and went into the classroom.

Daisy and her friends were alone in the canteen. Daisy moved to and fro with her arms wrapped whiles her friends sat down watching her.

"Can you tell us what's going on with you?" asked Nikita.

"Yeah Daisy.., you should spit it out already. I'm feeling dizzy now just watching you move to and fro." added Nelly, Daisy's other friend.

"Okay..,okay..." she uttered and stopped in front of her friends.

"You girls have to help me find a way to deal with Lucretia. She is really getting on my nerves." she added spitefully.

"What did that nerd do this time?" queried Nikita.

"Can you believe Philip has started ignoring me for her? That low life trash." she mumbled indignantly.

"Who does she even think she is?" queried Nikita rhetorically.

"His bestfriend of course." added Nelly as a- matter of- factly.

Nikita and Daisy turned to glare at her scornfully.

"Hey...girls..chill. I was just saying." she hastily added on noticing their gaze.

"So what have you plan on doing, Daisy?" she queried, looking at Daisy quizzically.

"Well..., I think I need to break their friendship bond." added Daisy schemely.

"And how do you plan on doing that? Those two are more like an inseparable bond." said Nikita, rolling her eyes.

"That's why I need a well laid out plan." she uttered with a smirk.

"And what's that?" questioned Nelly.

"It's simple girls. I need to break the trust they have between each other and build hatred between them. But I will need your help for that." mumbled Daisy as she stared down on her friends.

"Sure..anything for you girl. We've got your back." replied Nelly.

"Great..." she replied with a smile.

"Get ready for me Lucretia. You can never win over me." she thought to herself, smiling smugly.

The day was long with lots of assignments and group work from teachers. Lucretia and her friends sat in the library reading a book assigned to them by their language teacher.

"What...?" exclaimed Mimie and Crystal drawing everybody in the library's attention to them as they stare at Lucretia in shock.

"shush..quiet down girls else we'll be driven out of here." she mumbled in whispers as her eyes met the glares of other students in the library.

"What did you just say Lucretia?" questioned Mimie in a low tone.

"Just as you heard Mimie. Jayden proposed to me when we went on the hangout last Saturday." she mumbled.

"And what did you say or what to you plan on doing?" queried Crystal hastily.

"Well, I have not accepted yet but I plan on doing so today." she answered with a grin.

"Woow.., I are over Philip already?" questioned Mimie curiously searching Lucretia's face.

"They feeling is not the same though but I can still give it a shot. Maybe it might work. Moreover, Philip sees me as nothing more than a friend and so I have to respect his decision. It's better that way than to lose his friendship too." muttered Lucretia, faking a smile.

"We get you girl...Jayden is also a cool guy so why not." said Crystal with a grin.

"All the best girlfriend.., I'm happy for you." mumbled Mimie.

"Thanks.." replied Lucretia with a smile.

Just then, Philip came over to their table and pulled one of the chairs.

"You are late dumb head.." uttered Lucretia as Philip settled in his chair beside.

"I know.., no need to remind me of that Miss Universe." he mumbled, slightly pricking her.

"Hey..." she whispered with a smile and slightly shook her head.

"Anyway.., what were you girls talking about?" he queried expectantly as he stares suspiciously at them but was ignored by the girls as they went back to their reading.

"Hey..girls..I'm talking to you." he added

"It's not but of your business dumb head. You should focus on what you came here for psycho." muttered Lucretia, sticking out her tongue.

Philip chuckled slightly shaking his head and buried his face in his book.

The bell went off.

Jayden stood at the entrance of the hall waiting for Lucretia. Soon, he saw her approaching with Mimie and Crystal.

"What kept you girls so long?" he questioned as they neared him.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting Jay. We were finishing up our assignment for marking. You know how Mrs. Lordina is." answered Crystal.

"Okay..., Can we get going?" he questioned.

"Sure.." answered Crystal and Mimie in Union and took the lead. Lucretia was about to follow them but Jayden held her back.

"Still waiting for your answer Luc.." he whispered into her eyes.

"How about we have ice cream later in the evening then we talk." she replied with a grin.

"Sure..." he answered with a smile.

Crystal and Mimie realized that Jayden and Lucretia were not following them. They turned and saw them still standing were they left.

"Are you guys not coming?" exclaimed Mimie quizzically.

"We are.." answered Lucretia and dashed off followed by Jayden.

They left to the bus stop and got on the bus. After few minutes drive, Mimie and Crystal got to their stop and got off.

"Goodbye guys.." they uttered in unison as they waved Lucretia and Jayden off.

"Goodbye...see you girls tomorrow." exclaimed Lucretia as she waved back.

The rest of the drive continued with Lucretia and Jayden talking about latest trends of music. Soon, the bus pulled up at Jayden's stop.

"I will see you at 7pm." he uttered with a grin, got off the bus and waved her.

Lucretia waved back with a smile and relaxed her back on the seat as the bus took off and sighed.
