Chapter 28: Party and Battle Royale - Part 4

'This thing-- I can't control it! S**t my emotions are erupting!' Ain curses as he noticed that the corruption is going out of control.

Lucy saw the state of Ain and immediately understood what she must do, 'You need to be knocked down before that orb erupts!'

Lucy dashed towards Ain immediately and used one of her skill, "[Scott Myriad Skill: Steady Chop]"

She disappeared in front of Ain but when she appeared behind him, it is too late.

'What is that?' I thought to myself as I sensed something familiar. 'This is?! ー that thing erupted?! It is too corrupted'

Then I stare back at Bryan and said, "How about this?"

Bryan replied, "What is it?"

I immediately suggest, "Let's have a temporary truce and defeat someone, after defeating that someone, let's fight again. Of course, let's save our own energy for our battle later"

"Hmmm, who must we defeat?" said Bryan as he wore a confused expression.

"Fronda family's Ain" I replied as I smirked that made Bryan more confused.

Ain smirked as if he became a demon and he is staring at Lucy who is currently exhausted.

She underestimated her opponent even though she knew that it can boost his power significantly. The consequence of her underestimating her enemy became her doomsday. She can't move anymore and she is only using her sword to stand.

"Oh~ I wonder if you can continue!" Ain said as he continued staring at Lucy with cold eyes.

"You b*****d! Go away from my daughter!" A man yells loudly that echoed through the arena.

"You want me to kill you? You're noisy!" Ain said as he touched his shoulder, and moving his arms clockwise as if he is stretching.

"Thenーyou can't play with me anymore... I am disappointed" Lucy is speechless on the corruptedーno, it is more likely a demon form of Ain.

He raised his hands as his nails started to extend.

"S**t!" Lucy said to herself as she closed her eyelid and then, suddenly two figures appeared in front of her.

It is Theo and Bryan.

"Woooaahh!" The audience started to cheer in excitement, watching us saving Lucy from Ain who completely changed to a demon.

"Are you alright, Lucy?" I asked with a worried expression written on my face.

"So you only want to save your girlfriend?" Bryan said sarcastically and I replied angrily, "Just shut up!" As he said that, both of our faces are beet red.

"New playmates?" Ain said as he smirked.

"We are not, go away from Ain, can you? You demon of the "Demon Orb"..." Bryan and Lucy who is guarding themselves against Ain who is not fond of finishing someone talking, are surprised on what I said.

"I know that it is a bloodline orb but to think that the orb inside him is a demon?" Lucy exclaimed as she stared at Ain's chest where the orb is usually placed.

Bloodline Orbs are the orbs formed by the chosen of the higher form of the bloodline one's possessed.

Demon, Elves, Dwarves, Succubus, Basilisks, or Hydra have all human descendants. Some are not connected by blood but by connection through blessings. Our family has five blessings from different mythological creatures but our bloodline is unknown because our ancestors hid this information.

Demon Bloodline is one of the most ancient bloodlines of the whole world, the higher demons such as demon lord or demon emperor won't just choose someone to keep the bloodline orb of their race for no reason. Because of that reason, they haven't chosen from their descendants for a century. Making the demon bloodline's information regressed and almost no one knows what happened to them.

But now in front of us, the chosen of the Demon Bloodline who keeps the orb of the demon race is in front of us. I noticed it backstage earlier but I didn't mind it at first because the corruption of the demon orb is sealed.

While he is also going back to our group, I noticed that it weakened and deducted that the seal will weaken if he continues using an offensive attack.

Ain has a perfect stance of the blocking styles or technique but his stance when he tried to slash Willy using my technique, he almost has no strength on his arms. So I knew that Ain only uses defensive techniques because of the sole reason of preventing the orb's seal to weaken.

Demon's traits are malicious, cold, and evil, even though it is still inferior to the Devil Bloodline, the main bloodline stream of the god of death.

This information is not secret to the twelve big families and it is also being studied in aura manipulation.

"Ho? You are right, I am the demon orb of the demon race and... I didn't notice at first but you, the silver-blue-haired kid, have 'their' bloodline and they are kind of strong... I won't wonder if they choose you to be their vessel for their bloodline! But your strength is kind of low to become worthy..." Ain--no, the demon said as he sighed in disappointment.

"Their?" I asked in confusion while full alert because he might just be trying to lose my focus and attack us.

"You don't know? They haven't chosen their descendant ever since they have human descendant so mortal probably won't know that race or the mortals know but they didn't take it into consideration..." The demon said while holding his chin and continued, "Forget about that! I have playmates now! One is the bloodline of the greek's bloodline, the other one is from the bloodline of stars and the last one is the bloodline of 'that' guy, I hope all of you won't disappoint me!"

His long nail is pointed towards us with a sprint, probably a piercing attack, and leaped.

[Supreme Demon Technique: Blood Pierce]

His movement is similar to [Cascade] or [Meteor Strike] but he is also moving while mid-air, gathering some force and slashed towards us with a piercing.

That kind of attack can be easily avoided but this time, the demon's attack is agile. It is very fast as if gravity can't affect him.

We can't block it and we can only avoid it. If we block it, the long nail will pierce through my defense like paper and when it reaches me, the nail will pierce through my body.

So Lucy, Bryan, and I immediately fall back, avoiding the attack of the demon. Lucy is injured so Bryan took her to the other side while I retreated on the other side, splitting our group.

The attack that the demon made didn't do much in the environment unlike the [Meteor Strike] that Anselmo uses.

I immediately threw my three daggers in different directions for the [Transfer Technique], one in my left, one in my right and the other one is on Bryan and Lucy's spot.

With my sword unsheathed, I dashed towards Ain who is possessed by the demon and used [Xeros Moon Style: Tidal Wave]

I know that this attack won't damage any of him,\ physically or mentally because his strength is superior to ours but I can take focus on me, it is like the so-called 'Aggro' in the games.

He immediately dashed towards me, not finding Bryan nor Lucy interesting.

He swung his fist on my chest, hitting the I sword I used to block this attack. I immediately used the attack that Willy used earlier, the attack vertically with a zig-zag pattern that I personally called [Catching the Prey] earlier because it disarms the enemy.

His fist didn't budge on the attack making me use another attack consecutively. While doing so, I am also observing the attacks he is using. I am also using different kinds of attacks such as attacks of John, Willy, Hatter, and Viole.

His attacks are fast but powerful, they are fierce. That is why while attacking him without rest,, I am also blocking and evading his moves because they are all fatal.

[Demon Flame]

'Fire?!' I exclaimed inwardly as I looked at the blue flames on his hands. 'That is a metamorphose-type aura...'

He threw the ball of blue fire towards me but I can't dodge it, I can only block it using the sword technique. When I activated the barriers and blocking techniques that I combined with different users, I noticed that I can't block it, it is too huge!

'What should I do? I still have a lot of aurae but I don't know how to block it! Manipulation? No, I am not too sure!' Without a second thought, I tried to manipulate the ball and it budged a little bit.

'S**t, I am still too weak for that, what else?!' I closed my eyelids crying for someone to tell me what should I do.

"Theo!" Lucy's--not just Lucy's, I heard everyone's words calling out my name.

This blue ball of fire is not simple after all. It is the underworld fire that can absolutely destroy anything it touches. If someone gets hit by it, they will definitely die.

'Everyone, what should I do?' As I thought inwardly, the noises disappeared and when I opened my eyes, I am in a place where no lights existed.

I am in a void.
