The Flames Burn Bright (6): Scenario 0.1

"AGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" A player screamed loudly in the position that they had just left, Adam turned around to see a swarm of demonic rodent like animals flood out and cover the entire body of a Player, ripping out his limbs, his organs and eyes in a bloody and gory way.

"Don't ever run into the woods down there unless you have Plague based items or are at least level 41 Haha!" Moon laughed as he made Adam look away from the death.

"Look away. Look away. Don't do that to your Level 1 mind now." Moon said, holding Adams face directly into his with both his hands.

Adam stared straight into his eyes and felt uneasy, mainly because Moon was naked, but something else felt weird.

"Moon, stop being gay and decide real quick." Vari said as he itched his bald head.

"Gayy!?" Moon exclaimed as he pushed my head to the side and spun around to Vari.

"The next scenario is surely about to come up. It comes up at random times all the time so im not sure if we should go to graveyard to find weapons or go to the caves to wait it out." Kaiser said, damn near chuckling with how wide his smile was.

"How about we go get the weapons and then go hide afterwards, hm?" Adam said, trying to be funny again by insulting their intelligence.

"Blue Jester, the areas are in two different directions. I doubt we would be able to-" Kaiser tried replying but was interrupted by Adam.

"Blue jester isn't really a great name, just call me Adam. And of course, we will be able to." Adam said over Kaiser, this quite visibly irked Kaiser as his grin shrunk a little bit.

"Do not interrupt me, Blue Jester… As I was saying, they were in different directions-" Kaiser tried to say before he was interrupted again, but this time by Moon.

"Hey, you could be right? There are four of us, the two most scared can go hide and gather resources to build a temporary shelter for future scenarios until we actually get into Hell, and the bravest ones can go retrieve the Weapons from the graveyard? Sound alright?" Moon asked, Kaisers Big grin turned upside down quick as Kaiser jut kept his mouth shut and his eyes darkened.

[A/N: He literally had an upside-down grin, like a downward facing smile, like that Sero guy off MHA lol.]

"Perfect, im going to hide anyway, I'm the weakest in the group for a reason." Vari said as he halted, turned around and started walking away and Kaizen followed him.

Adam thought that this as ironic as the higher levelled ones went to hide and the lower-level ones had to take the risks.

[A/N: Let that sink in, Adam.]

'The weaker ones, had to take the risk.' Adam thought as he began to panic once again until he realized that Moon had already walked far ahead of him.

"Aye! Jester, you better catch up!" Moon said as he moved forward through the muddy terrain around.

Eventually, anytime I looked back I could no longer see the tag and levels of the other two, we were really left alone here.

I heard a splash, the type the toilet makes and I looked in the direction of the splash. I saw a disgusting mound of flesh sitting atop a rock, spilling blood into the mud. Adam didn't think much of it and kept walking with Moon.

"We are about to reach the weapon haulll!" Moon almost squealed. I'm sure that if I could accurately explain what was dangling between his legs than id explain it as slowly getting some sort of erection from this.

The System Panel appeared in front of both their faces and blared out the sounds of the warbly female voice so loudly and Adam's nigh PTSD made him shut his eyes, clench his teeth and fold his fist tightly.

Moon couldn't understand why the System had screamed out so loud, but he couldn't care any less, he immediately began to sprint. In a moment, Moon was far ahead of Adam.

In the moment that Adam blinked at least four other players had sprinted past him after Moon. They weren't particularly very fast but they were at the level of speed slightly above the average track athlete.

Adam stood to his feet confused and started to run after them, Moon turned around as he didn't hear the expected amount of steps and he realized it was because he was being tailed by four other players with malicious looks on their faces.

"Naked… You must be Moon; it'll be a pleasure." One of the players said as he increased his running speed and ran straight into Moon, throwing him off course completely as they began to throw their fists at each other.

Adam started sprinting, he was relatively faster than your average 19-year-old, but he felt his ankles aching before long.

『6 Unassigned Stat Points Remaining.』

The system blared and Adam instantly felt dumb.

He fiddled his way to the Stat point assigning screen and assigned four points to overall speed. He felt his calves, ankles and knees get stronger instantly.

"Save the other two in case of an emergency." Adam said as he put one foot in front of the other and took off.

Adam felt like he was an athlete, he was easily reaching Olympic level speeds as he assumed a perfect running position, raising both his hands as he dashed.

Expectedly, Moon and his assailants were not running as fast as they could, so they were not too hard to catch up too. Adam saw Moon boxing off four of them quite easily, he laughed out and spoke down on them as he punched and kicked them away easily while maintaining his running speed.

"Ahahaha!! Hamburger guild bitches really tried take me out!" He yelled as he grabbed unto one of their collars and delivered multiple punches to his face until his nose bled.

Moon noticed Adam trailing behind them and he chuckled.

"Hey! You really managed to keep up! Sad." Moon said before increasing the amount of strength behind every step, effectively making it seem like he bounced between his steps; He was going faster.

"Better keep up with this!" He yelled to his assailants and to Adam.

Adam immediately tried to replicate what Moon did, but since his speed stat was ever so obviously different, he needed to actually use his own strength. As he slowly realized that speed and strength go hand-in-hand he wished he had equally distributed the stat points as he ducked through the discombobulated group and chased after Moon.

[A/N: This could be taken out of context in so many ways. "Ay, why is your MC chasing a naked guy?"]

"Pull back! There's another weapon stash somewhere down north." One of the guys said.

"But the Scenario has started already, the ghouls and rats could be anywhere!" Another said as they halted their sprint."

"Moon is faster, if he gets weapons, its over for us if we dare follow him. I'd rather take my chances with a Ghoul barehanded than with him." Another said as they turned around.

Adam turned back and saw them sprinting the other way and was met with a glare that would've made him piss his pants if it was any closer.

Adam turned back and was met with another glare, one from the almost scalding-hot, red eyes of Moon who bit his lower lip in so much frustration that it bled out.

'What's with these people and glaring like beasts.' Adam thought to himself.

"Jester! Catch up! Quick." Moon said, with blood dripping from his teeth. There was a large pulsating wound on his forearm caused by the assailants.

There was a small opening in a collection of trees along the way and Moon instantly ducked into it without hesitation and Adam followed suit and there they were…

Adam tripped over a well rooted stone and fell face flat into the grassy soil and got a mouth full of dirt, a scraped knee and pain all over his legs.

He groaned subtly in pain and Moon used the heel of his foot to roll his body over to a grave that had engravings on it.

"Aight, get your fingers ready to be a graverobber! Ahahahahahahaaaa!!" Moon chucked as Adam writhed in pain again.

"How do you sprint for that long and still stand fine?" Adam asked as he adjusted himself to be right beside Moon.

"I'm different. I'm better. I'm superhuman! Rahhhh!!" Moon said and the weird noise he made at the end flabbergasted Adam as he reeled back.

"Haha! Get your jester ass back here and get to digging, I need me a new fit." Moon said as his left forearm kept pulsating and even started to ooze a green liquid from the large wound.
