A Scuffle on The Street (2)

'I won't even bother talking anymore.'

Seeing the 10 adults circling him and ready to hit him with their metal pipes, Lucas didn't even try speaking a single word before he dashed forward himself, meeting the 10 people head-on.

Despite their scary looks, and seasoned eyes who seemed to have been used to seeing violence every single day of their lives, added with the metal pipes that could easily break his bones, Lucas wasn't afraid.

How could he? When he activated the basic body enhancement technique, everything seemed to be moving in slow motion in his eyes.

Although his attunement with mana wasn't that high yet and the people weren't really moving that slow in his eyes, their speed was slow enough for Lucas to have ample time to think and react to their actions.

When he dashed forward, Lucas had already chosen a single target that would taste his punch first.

The adrenaline in him kept on rising as the thought of fighting against almost a dozen people on his own kept replaying in his mind.

He dashed forward at full speed, which was a speed that couldn't be comprehended easily by mere mortals who had never cultivated before.

All 10 people could still see his body physically move, but not a single one of them could properly react when Lucas crossed half a dozen meters in just a split second.

Everyone froze when they saw how fast he was, moreover, the guy that Lucas had chosen as his target.

The man just blinked and saw Lucas had already stood right before his eyes, his hand already winding up to punch the man.

Initially, Lucas aimed to hit the man's head or chest since they were the easiest target for him to hit considering his lack of martial arts skill.

However, after a quick recalling of what had happened to the man that he had punched in the chest before, Lucas changed his target at the last second.

He remembered that a single one of his punches was enough to cave in an adult's ribcage, puncturing their lungs, and killing them as a result.

As much as Lucas wanted to punch as hard as he could, he knew that he couldn't just kill another human being without a concrete reason.

Moreover, he was currently on Earth, and he didn't want to get into prison.

He had a lot to do and doing time in jail won't do him any good.

With his body that had attuned more to mana, Lucas kept that in mind as the enhancement on his body became even stronger than before.

So Lucas aimed his punch towards the man's shoulder, he also pulled his punch, making sure that he only hit the man with 50% of his power.

The man who was still shocked by Lucas suddenly appearing in front of him finally moved once again as his body flew into the air.

A loud cracking noise resounded in the air as the man's shoulder bone broke into pieces just from Lucas' pulled punch.

The man screamed after landing on the ground as the pain of having his shoulder crushed finally registered to him.

The wail full of pain then filled the silent alleyway as it also became the starting sign of the horrors the other 9 people were about to go through.

Not spending much time after making sure that he didn't kill another human being and he didn't tear the man's limb from his body, Lucas now began his real assault.

Adjusting his strength and his targets, Lucas didn't stop for a single second as he moved between the 10 people, closing in on them and launching his attacks.

Some of the people had received the same treatment as they got their shoulders crushed by him.

While some others suffered different kinds of pain when Lucas kicked their shin, easily splitting them into at least two different parts.

Which turned out to be probably more excruciating than having a shoulder crushed as a couple of the people who had their shins broken passed out after a few seconds of screaming.

Lucas had seen people pass out from shock in movies, but this was his first time seeing it in real life, which made him think, 'I thought those movies were exaggerating… Turns out they don't.'

Some others also fell on the floor as Lucas punched and kicked the middle of their stomachs, something which he also learned from watching boxing fights on his phone.

In the end, when Lucas finally stopped moving, so did the 10 people.

Some of them could technically still move, but the wounds on their broken bodies and the pain that haunted them kept them from making any moves.

They all just stared at Lucas with horror in their eyes. Which Lucas gladly welcomed as he stared back at them, not breaking any eye contact with each and every one of them.

While he didn't know how the people on the streets operate, he had his fair share of dealing with bullies back in school.

The way he dealt with them was simple enough, that was to fight back, crazy enough, that it made a lasting impression on them to label him as a psycho.

And that was what he was currently doing right now.

He thought that he had done enough, but someone called him out. 'You know, not tying up loose ends will end up biting you in the future, boy.' Maya spoke in his mind.

'Showing mercy is more often than not an action that a person would regret.'

Lucas stopped staring at the 10 people for a few seconds as he answered Maya, 'They didn't do anything worthy to be killed.'

'I don't think they also had any reason to kill me before, they just wanted to beat me up so bad, which I already did to them.'

As if already expecting Lucas' answer, Maya replied right away, 'Oh they didn't before, but now they do.'

Lucas once again stared at the 10 people who were still sitting on the ground, some of them still unconscious, and the rest still stared at him.

A few did stare at him with nothing but fear, but a few others had that different light that Lucas knew wasn't something he could call good news.

'Should I kill them…?'

This thought appeared on Lucas' mind, but only for a second as he quickly dispersed the thought away.

No matter how dangerous they might be now, Lucas was currently on Earth, and to get away with killing 10- or rather 11 people wasn't even something serial killers could get away with easily.

Moreover, he didn't know whether he had it in him to kill people who couldn't fight back and didn't give any real threats toward him.

Lucas was about to check on Tom, the one that he purposely ignored to make sure he saw what he was capable of and as a clear warning to not mess with him anymore.

But just as he turned his head backward, Lucas couldn't even open his mouth yet as a handheld black metal weapon was pointed at his body and a thunderous bang resounded in the air.
