Chapter 14 :- Datura Snake's lair

After fighting the pack of three Silver blue one eyed wolves, Yang Kai got a through understanding of his strength.

"Looks like I have find a few more soul bests to get some points. "

He estimated that with his physical strength, handling a soul beast of 3000 years of age is not impossible but this is his rough estimate, to know the correct estimate he had to fight some soul beasts.

"System can you scan the terrains here and see if there's any soul beasts of age more than 3000 years of age? " Asked Yang Kai.

Mechanical voice kept popping up in his head.

[Juvenile there's two soul beasts meeting the host's specification. A Vajra Ape with an age of 5000 years and a poison datura snake of age 4700 years. ] replied the system.

"Guide me to their location system" Yang Kai asked the system to guide him to the lair of both the soul beasts.

Yang Kai felt annoyed with himself, as he could not even use his divine sense.

"When I reached Semi creation realm, I could scan the whole black ink battlefield with my divine sense alone but now I can't even sense anything, due to my cultivation being blocked. "

He felt helpless as he thought that he had to depend on this broken system for scanning his surrounding.

With the guidance of the system, he started traveling towards the direction of the poison datura snake first. Having the system as his guide he traveled without any distraction.

The lair of the Datura snake was roughly 20 miles from the river.

When he arrived at the location, he saw the area covered in thick jet black mist.

[Host be careful, this is the poisonous miasma of the datura snake. It protects it's territories by covering the area with poisonous miasma, that can even affect a ten thousand year spirit beast. "]

" Hey! system you forgot something, don't you know that I'm a dragon. I'll be immune to any poison. Datura snake is just a spirit beast and I'm a divine spirit there's a lot of difference what's more is that the datura snake has the just cultivated for 4700 years. it's no big of a deal. " replied Yang Kai with arrogance.

" Beings in the top of cultivation world really forgets to be humble. Tsk!.... Tsk! " chuckled the system in System space.

Without much of a thinking, Yang Kai enter the poisonous miasma. He started proceeding in the direction given by the system.

Dead trees, damp soil , and some poisonous herbs could be seen growing in the area occasionally.

The trees in this area were all dead with no leaves, there's no sign of life here, not even insects

It was as if one came to a different dimension . Dead skeletons of spirit beasts were seen laying in the ground, probably been hunted down by the datura snake.

After walking for a while, Yang Kai understood why the Datura snake could survive here. This poisonous area could be even potent threat to some ten thousand year soul beasts, and the datura snake was like a fish in this poisonous environment. Either the prey will die from being exhausted or from poison.

"What a cruel fellow this snake is! I'll be roasting it once I hunt it down....Hehe...." Yang Kai started drooling thinking about roasted snake meat.

"Why is this fellow so hopeless? How can a dignified ruler of a universe be child like in behavior ? " the system kept thinking

" Did his mental age also got reduced to that of an nine year old, along with his bone age? " the system kept wrecking his head confusingly .

"Did I overdo the seal? "

While the system was pondering its Intelligence over this issue, Yang Kai kept going deep into the poisonous miasma.

He analysed that even a spirit king will have hard time dealing with it because of its poison, if not careful.

As this area was in the outer perimeter of the Star dou Forest, there's no spirit beast with more than ten thousand years of cultivation age. so it was basically safe for it and probably preyed on some spirit beasts of low cultivation age.

After walking for five minutes, he arrived near a huge tree .There was a huge hole in tree trunk formed naturally . From outside it could be seen as a normal hollow tree trunk with a cavity , but the atmosphere here suggested otherwise, it was gloomy and depressing environment here , enough to make one's back shivering in chills.

Yang Kai was not afraid of these scenes, throughout his cultivation journey he killed large number of enemies, fought countless battles, he basically walked a bloody path, his hands covered in blood, standing on millions and millions of corpses, contrast to those scenes this environment was like a little bug in his eyes, this was the mentality of once a supreme cultivated to the highest level in his universe, semi-creation realm. Though his cultivation may be blocked his aura and demeanour as a supreme overlooking the whole world can't be hidden.

Though he had his pride, he didn't dare to belittle the Datura Snake.

He slowly started approaching the tree trunk without making noise, trying to avoid the fallen dry leaves and branches. So as not to alert the enemy.

Finally he managed to get to the entrance to the tree cave.

"Phew!....that felt like a decade to me"

Getting near the entrance he started planning for his way in.

The tree cavity was enough for a six feet tall person to walk inside. But he choose not to walk blindly into enemy's lair.

He started walking around the tree figuring if there's any other way in . After walking around the tree a couple of time he discovered a small hole, enough for him to enter by crawling.

But before blindly walking in , he stood at a distance behind a fallen tree trunk for a couple of hours , making sure that the Datura snake does not use that small cavity as its entrance or exit.

Seeing no changes, Yang Kai finally walked into the tree cave, crawling.
