Chapter 9

Well, after Cosmos first brought up the idea of killing everyone to get away from this place, the plan was changed.

Not because the plan was bad, no on the contrary it was a good plan and Pollux loved it.

But he knew he was not strong enough to do that, at least for now.

So instead the plan was changed to something that seemed easier to achieve, and if it was really easier we will find out after the escape.

"Who knew all the time you spent staring at that girl back then was not a waste".

"I honestly thought you were in love with her, I am glad to see that is not the case".

Cosmos started talking to relieve himself of the boredom, unfortunately that is the only thing he is able to do for now.

When he saw that Pollux was still silent he decided to ask

"Boy, I thought you would be happy now that we finally have a chance of escaping out of here and starting your grand plans".

"We only thought of this plan, if can even call it, that three months ago".

"How confident are you, do you think we will make it out". Pollux asked because now that he was going through the details of the plan all over in his head.

He had to say it was a very stupid plan and he honestly felt they had no chance of succeeding, so he decided to ask Cosmos for his opinion regarding the plan.

"There is absolutely no chance of success, it is either you are killed the moment you pass through this door, or you are killed before you get to the gate".

"What if by some chance we are able to come out from the front gate". Pollux asked, seemingly not willing to give up just like that.

But once again Cosmos reply was hope shattering

"Even if as you said, by some chance you MANAGE emphasis on manage young one."

"If you eventually get out, once they find out that you escaped, you will be hunted down and killed before you get far enough".

"In case you think I am just saying this to make you feel down let me give you my reasons".

"You have been here as long as you remember, so you know absolutely nothing about the outside world compared to the guards who leave sometimes to go on errands".

Pollux felt like he had a solution to that so he told Cosmos"that is actually easy to solve, I have you".

"So you will help me move around and avoid getting caught".

Pollux was happy because he felt like the chances of his plan working had gone up a bit.

So even though his face did not show it, he was extremely happy within.

"Stop getting happy too quickly, you have forgotten something very important".

"I have been stuck here with you since you were a baby, so I have no idea how the outside world is like right now".

"Another thing is that, as you know I am not from this world, surely I came a few times but but I never really bothered to tour since I was here just for business".

"So I will not be able to help you. Sorry kiddo".

And just like that, Pollux was faced with a sadness that he would have to get through if he was to make it through the difficult journey to come.
