CURSE FOR A KING: 6

Curse for a King: 6

"Finally it's over.." the wolf let out a tired yawn while stretching his hindlegs. It had begun to snow last night, the snow and cold hid the blood between the garden well. Leo sat down the wooden bench staring at the dried blood of his past lover. "Tell me Vixen, is delivering justice to a devil of a human, still justice or did he deserve it?" He whispered down on his wolf, his eyes still fixed on the patch of blood. "Justice is Justice Leo, you can't fix evil by doing evil" the wolf replied, his tail now hiding perfectly between the snow. "Bastards. A funny name for someone neglected by society." Leo's eyes went down in regret. If only he could have not cared about justice, he might have been with someone who didn't mind his scars.

"My Father has been finally avenged. I owe gratitude and appreciation for the Wolf Tamer, for not his work the bastard maid would have never seen the light of justice." Helen said as she walked down the throne.

"I, Helen Queen of Relsior honor you with a place in the court as a-"

"With all due respect, I don't care or want a place in any courts" Leo interrupted while his hands rubbed Vixen's fur.

"You are denying the Queen's grace, sir Leo?" Helen spoke coldly.

"Yes, my Queen. I was a wanderer and I'd like to stay that" Leo fired back, his lips dried.

"Very well then, Sir Leo. You may then have a special hospitality for whenever you visit Relsior back." she finally concluded and started walking back to her throne. The courtsmen stood silent as the queen sat back, her eyes sharply wandered the room and then stared at Leo as if it was her command for him to leave already. Leo obeyed, tapped Vixen's head and they both started walking out down the grand palace.

"But Leo, what about the devilish mark on King's Esmon's forehead? Did Lisa do that too?" The wolf whispered while they were half way down the court.

"No, the demons had no interest in this king nor could Lisa manage to do this on her own. It was an illusion, a clever plan to divert everyone from the poison to some curse."

"Who could have done that?" The wolf questioned in his lowest tone.

"Someone who was both close to the king and had huge hatred for him, Someone like.." Leo stared back to the courtroom as his eyes met Helen's again but this time a satisfied yet evil grin owned her face.

"In a world of demons and monsters, it's always the humans that I hunt" he sighed while walking out with his wolf.
