Teach you a lesson that you won't forget in a hurry

There are people that we meet in life and never wish to part with them, all we will be yearning for is to enjoy their company forever. These are the kind of people that we cherish the most, some might not offer anything tangible but their presence brings an unexplainable warmth to our lives.

(Back to the story)

"How is Tasha?"

"Her condition is not good, I'm afraid she won't last long."

(With a low voice, full of emotions and also breaking) "Mea…meaning…sh…she…she is dying."

(Hesitant) "I apologize for bringing you bad news boss, but that could be the case."

(Trying to hold herself) "How…h…ow…long…"

She couldn't finish, her words but doctor D knew what she wanted to ask.

"We are trying all we can if it's possible maybe 3 months but the maximum I can give you is 6 months. A year maybe but that's very unlikely, this is because of the operation. From all the tests and examinations that I have done, the operation wasn't supposed to be done. There has been foul play behind that operation."

Anne wasn't able to drop the call or stand, in a minute she had hit the floor with her bums and couldn't even feel any pain. The world began to spin in her head, time stopped moving, and everything felt like it wasn't real. Her mind was stuck in the same place. She sat down and zoned out, staring at the wall without blinking, and tears gushing out of her eyes. She didn't make any sound or even sniffed; it was a cry of overwhelming pain. All this was happening in the eyes of Ghost, Kali, Danger, and Hacker who had come to give a hand in the planning and strategizing process.

(Standing) "Everyone let's get out of here right now," said Ghost instructing others to get out of the house.

Everyone was surprised to hear her say that, nobody wanted to argue but they kept on sitting looking at her in disbelief.

(Trying to drag them one by one) "Didn't you hear what I just said? Quickly let's get out"

They all stood and kept on standing without moving an inch

(Sitting down again) "You guys may leave but I am not going anywhere I can't leave boss like this," said Danger.

"I am not asking this is an order," said Ghost as she tried to reach for Danger's hand.

However, the other party avoided her hand which led to a fight, the other guys tried to stop them but they couldn't. The more they did try to stop the fight the more Danger and Ghost tried to drag them into the fight. The two ladies' fists and kicks were so fierce, that it was like they were aiming to kill each other. For some minutes they were all on the same level in the fight until Ghost took advantage of a small gap and then hit Danger at the back of her head and she fainted.

(Carrying Danger in her arms) "Anyone else who wants to fight?" She said looking at them with daring eyes.

The other two didn't want to create any chaos again but rather, followed her instructions. They left for the garage and got into Hacker's car which could contain all of them. Ghost sat Danger on the sit and then tapped her hands and legs. Within some minutes they were a bit far from the house.

"Where to?" Asked Hacker who was driving.

"Second base," said Ghost with her eyes closed and leaning on the seat, both her arms wrapped around her body.

"This kid is so fond of the boss," said Kali who was sitting in the front seat.

Nobody answered, there was a deafening silence in the car such that the sound of the moving car was the only thing heard. The base was a bit far from the location of Anne's house and it took them about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach there. This base is located on the outskirts of the city, a few people move around there and not all people love to build in that area or do any other investment, it's only a few who thought of that. Most buildings that are there are storages, but the one that Midnight owns is like storage from the outside but inside it was made into a very beautiful house which has underground rooms, that is where all missions are planned and executed and also all their tools are stored down there. Once the car was in the garage they got out of the car and opened a door that would lead into the house. That's the only way into the house for someone who wasn't familiar with the house which is through the entrance from the garage. Ghost carried Danger and she went on and sat her on one of the couches that were in the lounge and also removed the tap from her hands and legs. She then splashed a little water on her face and she woke up.

(Twisting her neck left and right) "Where am I, what happened?"

"Second base," said Kali who had brought some cold drinks for everyone.

"Where is The Midnight?" Asked Danger looking around.

"At her place," said Ghost who was sitting on a couch opposite Danger.

(Pointing at Ghost) "You…you are the one who knocked me out right? How could you, why did you bring me here, the only chance that I had to make up with the boss you blew it, are you Lisa or Ghost? Why can't you mind your own business?"

"Calm down kid, remember Ghost is your boss too," said Hacker who was just coming from the underground rooms to check if everything was in place.

"I know, but when it comes to fighting and other skills, she knows we are at par, I am a real talent…

"What did you say?" Said Ghost who had stood in anger and was about to go and fight with Danger again, but Kali and Hacker stopped her.

(Being stubborn) "Come on bring it on, let me show you that you are useless…" she couldn't finish Hacker had given her a slap that made her sit down.

"I don't like getting into people's business, or getting involved in ladies' fights but you are going too far. The Midnight raised you and trained you, didn't she tell you to respect your elders?" Asked Hacker who had pulled Danger from where she was sitting, holding her shirt by the collar and looking right into her eyes with flames of anger in his eyes.

(Daring) "She did, and she also told me that respect is earned, and that boss (pointing at Ghost) hasn't earned mine yet."

ENOUGH!! Shouted Ghost with a voice that was so commanding that everyone got a bit scared for that moment and all their eyes were now fixed on her.

She quickly went on and yanked Danger from Hacker, kicked her to the ground, and then took a chair put it on top of her, and then sat on it. She did it such that the chair would lock Danger down.

(Looking down into Danger's face) "You are a gem and no one will dispute that but pride and arrogance will bring you down. I am your boss and if you choose not to respect me, I'm afraid by the power bestowed upon me I will teach you a lesson that you won't forget in a hurry."

Everyone was stunned, though they knew that Ghost does have a commanding voice, they didn't expect her to have leveled up in terms of speed and strength. She did deserve to be the second boss. Danger didn't say anything, she was just struggling to get herself from the chair but it was all in vain.

"Hacker and Kali take chairs and sit close to me we need to talk…"

On the other hand, with all the drama that had happened, earlier Anne didn't even notice she didn't hear or see anything through everything that happened right before her eyes. Her mind had taken her back into the past and she began to have flashbacks. The events of the past were so vivid that, everything that had to do with the present was shut.

(Back to doctor Flo and Scar's part)

Although it was lunch-time doctor Flo didn't give herself time to eat anything, on top of that she didn't have an appetite, everything was just overwhelming. After Scar left and all the crying, she pulled herself together, carried her duty throughout the day, and in any way, she tried by all means to avoid Scar. That day until they finished their shifts all their conversations were professional, with a high percentage of one-word answers. After work Scar Tried to talk things with Flo but she dismissed whatever he wanted to say and left for her house. She was so done with him and his presence was the last thing she wanted to feel. She hadn't yet gathered the courage to break the relationship with words but her actions had spoken louder than any words. However, Scar wasn't going to just let go with no explanation, besides Flo might also be the trump card that he can use again to bargain for either his life or his escape.
