Tasha vomits blood

(The past continuation)

"The following morning, I woke up and my head felt heavy, I couldn't remember part of the previous day's events but I could still remember that I never had any alcohol or smoked anything. I didn't dwell much on the issue, I just thought the reason was I slept tired because I had helped to prepare food, danced, and also ate a lot. I took a shower and after I got dressed, I bid those that were awake farewell and then headed to my house. The moment I got home Tiny sent me a picture and he asked me to explain what the picture meant."

"I was confused and didn't know what to say, I couldn't believe my eyes. I am not someone who was or is wayward, before I could even think of an answer, he then sent me a video. That is when reality slapped me in the face. At first, I thought the picture was photoshopped and I was also in denial but the video proved the authenticity of everything. Both the picture and video contained the same content, and in both of them, I was lying in between two half-naked boys whose faces were blurred but mine was crystal clear and I couldn't deny that it was me. I was also half-naked and the two boys' arms were cuddling my body, my legs were wide open each on top of them. Both on the bed and floor were… ah…eh some…

(I couldn't get myself to say such embarrassing words, also the events of that day were so vivid in my eyes. Tears were flowing and I was silently crying looking down. Lisa came and sat close to me and began to comfort me, thank goodness she didn't say anything and gave me time to get myself together then I continued).

(With a low voice) "There were use…used…con…condoms all over. I couldn't stand what I was watching, I fainted, and by the time I woke up, I found myself lying in a hospital. My mum was sitting close to my bed holding my hand and rubbing it, I couldn't stop crying, mum kept on telling me that everything was okay, she had seen the picture and video I could tell because she had my phone beside her, she was hurt, I could tell by the look that was in her eyes."

(Lisa was dumbstruck, she couldn't utter a word but only managed to open her eyes and mouth)

"After a couple of minutes my phone rang, it was Tiny who was calling, he had made a couple of missed calls, after pressing the answer button he didn't wait to hear any word from me. He began to curse, he cursed my ancestors, my late father that I never saw, my mum, and everything that had to do with me, he never gave me time to explain myself. My relationship was over and shattered beyond repair.

I felt like my world was crumbling, I couldn't understand what was going on in my life. Anyway, I was relieved when the doctor came with test results and they proved that everything was intact and nothing was tampered with. That's when it became more than clear that all the drama that had happened recently was a setup. It took me some time to recover from all that had happened, my mother wanted to get someone to investigate what had happened but I disagreed. I preferred peace and I didn't want to know more about the story, you know sometimes the lesser you know the better.

Thank God for my mum, she stood by me and became the only person that I trusted and still trust as well as love. Also, thank goodness the people never leaked the picture or the video which I didn't know why until yesterday. Sometimes time heals and I managed to put everything behind me, I then went back to work because the boss always loved the way I used to do my job so I was able to get my spot back.

However, I didn't manage to continue working because words about me began to circulate. The news was in different versions, some would say I drugged the guys, some were saying I was a prostitute, and a lot was said. I ended up quitting my job and my mum warned me to never look for a job again, for months I couldn't step my feet into the city center."

(End of the past story)

(Back to the present day)

"Lisa, I know you are not dumb or stupid, by now I guess you have figured out who set me up right?"

(She couldn't bring herself to agree or disagree, she was still in shock)

"Now after hearing my story, do you still dare to tell me about trust, love, or sisterhood? I did all I could but the human heart and mind managed to destroy me and also took almost everything from me, I am alive outside but inside I'm dead. I…"

(I couldn't hold myself; I began to sob; the pain was too much to bear. It felt like the events had just happened yesterday. Lisa couldn't say a word, she was tearing and I couldn't stand her tears, I felt like she was pitying me, which is something I didn't like).

"That's it for today, I am tired (wiping my tears), I will spend time in my room don't disturb me until tomorrow also don't bring me any antidepressants. One more thing, when I wake up tomorrow don't forget to tell me what doctor Flo said concerning erasing my memories, keep my phone I don't want to receive any calls." I said as I was about to leave for my room.

Now the ball was left in Lisa's court, it was up to her to proceed with the lie that she and doctor Flo had made. But, what would that make her, what would be the difference between Marble and her? Though she meant good but either white or black, a lie is a lie. The situation was becoming tiring and also giving her a headache, but she was determined to at least try to make the situation bearable. She called both Flo and Anne again and they both didn't take time to pick up the call, it's like they were already expecting it.

Anne: Don't tell me Tasha has started to run naked in the streets already.

Lisa: (Annoyed) Far from it, stop prophesying doom.

Doctor Flo: Anne, are you for real, Lisa what's wrong?

Lisa: I don't think lying to Tasha is a good idea.

Doctor Flo: Why do you say so?

(Lisa didn't waste much time, she explained everything that she had heard earlier).

Doctor Flo: Holy mother of Jesus! How can people be this wicked? So that's the reason whenever I used to tell her to see me as a friend, she always told me that she would prefer I become an enemy, I used to think she hates me now I know better.

Lisa: If we proceed with our lie won't we be the same as them? Even though our intentions are so good but nothing can justify a lie.

Anne: It's a miracle that she finally decided to let you in her heart, that girl is a hard nut. Anyway, I knew about it before you guys did and that's why I said that I failed her.

Lisa: (Getting angry) if we were not related by blood I would have disowned you; how could you then leave her just like that after you knew what she went through. You decided to play hero and leave her to deal with the situation on her own how heartless.

Anne: I am so sorry, I also had a lot on my plate during those days, I was also dealing with your issues too. I also got called to work abroad, I didn't know what to choose at that time and also, I thought she was going to accept you just as she did to me. I was wrong again, but I promise this will never happen again.

Lisa: Idiot, you are always wrong.

Anne: It's about time I fix everything for her, either she likes it or not I don't care.

Lisa: Huh!

Anne: Why are you surprised, I said it's about time I deal with some idiots.

Doctor Flo: (Confused) Lisa what does Anne mean?

Lisa: Flo, not only is Anne brainless she is also violent. You knew her for only a year through Lizzie and Tasha, right?

Doctor Flo: Yeah…

Lisa: Well, let me tell you. What she said means that she is fond of Tasha, and she is not going to fold her hands and watch her suffer. She is the only person that gives our family a headache and though we fight and I disrespect her sometimes, thanks to her that I am still alive and living a good life. We call her 'midnight' because as much as she is kind her heart is also as dark as midnight. People are always scared when that midnight mode gets activated and that only happens when you touch those that she loves dearly. I'm afraid her coming back is going to turn tables and we are going to witness a lot of fights, if worst turns into worst even deaths are inevitable.

Doctor Flo: What!

Anne: (Calm) Heh, Lisa that was an exaggeration, I am not that bad, stop scaring the doctor.

Lisa: I am not making things up, she will understand once you are back. Anyway, that is a story for another day, I just wanted to inform you that I will be telling Tasha the truth tomorrow so be ready to hear from me if anything happens.

Anne: Sure, bye (Hangs up the call).

Doctor Flo: No problem (Hangs up the call).

Lisa then went ahead to tidy the house, and after that, she came to check on me. The moment she got into my room she couldn't believe her eyes, I was rolling on my bed, holding my stomach, groaning, and vomiting blood…
