Someone broke into the house

They headed to the entrance and waited for 5 minutes, and by 10 pm on the dot, a black van with tinted windows and no number plate arrived. The driver didn't intend to stop the vehicle in the parking lot, he proceeded and stopped close to the entrance. In a few seconds, six gentlemen dressed in casual all black, pushing the first-class stretcher, holding the best necessary equipment for life support and patient transfer, came out and walked toward Lisa(Ghost) in uniform. She then stepped a bit forward to meet them, they both stopped moving to leave a distance of about 1 meter between them. Lisa (Ghost) then began her assessment.

YOU'RE? She said in a voice that was so powerful and commanding, though she was not shouting too much in order not to draw attention. Those around couldn't resist the kind of authority she possessed.

The guys stood at attention without flinching, showing respect and everything they did was in uniform.

"A MAN WITH A NAME HAS NO FREEDOM, I CHOSE FREEDOM AND I CARRY NO NAME. BUT FOR IDENTITY I'M 'mi." said the first man that was standing on the far left.

"IDENTITY IS ALL THAT IS IMPORTANT AND IM 'd," said the second man.

"WHAT VALUE IS A NAME? WHAT CAN IT BUY? NOTHING MATTERS TO ME EXCEPT MY IDENTITY I'M 'n," said the third man.

"I HAVE A SOUL OF A WANDERER AND FOR MY SAFETY I DON'T NEED A NAME BUT I DO HAVE AN IDENTITY, I'm 'i," said the fourth man.

"WHEREVER I GO, WHAT I CARRY IS IDENTITY AND I'M 'g," said the fifth man.

"THEY KNOW THAT I AM 'ht," said the sixth man.

"SO WHO ARE YOU??" Said Ghost in command.

(In unison but also letting out a melody) WE ARE midnight," they said showing the tattoos that were on the inside part of their left wrists.

Each tattoo was by what the person had said that his identity was and also, they were written in black small letters in a unique style that one would think was Informal Roman but it was way more than that.

"MIDNIGHT WHAT'S YOUR MISSION?" Asked Lisa (Ghost)

(In unison) "MIDNIGHT'S MISSION IS ALWAYS CLASSIFIED ONLY CODES AND THIS MISSION IS CODE RED."

"Midnight, is well received and you may proceed," she said permitting them to enter the hospital.

(Turning to Flo who was standing behind her) "Follow them and do the need for."

Flo didn't move or answer she was too stunned to take any action, her mind was still processing what she had just witnessed.

(Pinching her cheek) "Doctor Flo I don't have all day."

"Huh, uh, yeah…you…ah, what did you say?" She said shaking her head back to reality.

(Annoyed) "Follow the guys and do the need for."

"Oh, oka-ay, but Li… I mean Ghost, those guys look like kidnappers…"

"Flora there is more to what meets the eye, anyway, I understand and I hope this will convince you," she then moved a bit fast so that she could get a bit close to the guys who were already moving along the hospital corridor.

"MIDNIGHT HOLD," she commanded.

All the six guys stopped and turned to face her in uniform.

"WHAT'S MY NAME?"

(Flo had also gotten closer to see how she was going to convince her)

(In unison) "A FREE SOUL, NO LIMITS, YOU FIGHT FOR JUSTICE AND JUSTICE YOU GET, IT'S NOT EASY TO TELL WHEN YOU STRIKE, YOU COME AND GO AS YOU PLEASE, THE SHADOWS ARE LIKE YOUR STRENGTH, NO NAME BUT IDENTITY ONLY, YOU ARE GHOST."

"MIDNIGHT YOU MAY PROCEED," she said granting permission.

Doctor Flo was stunned and also curious, she had several questions that she wanted to ask Lisa (Ghost) but the other party's temperate wasn't favorable for that.

"Doctor Flo, are you convinced?" She said looking at Flo's face.

Flo didn't utter a word, she just nodded and proceeded to help with the whole patient transfer process. After everything was done, everyone was set and ready to leave.

"Lisa…sorry I mean Ghost, may I come with you?"

"No problem but I'm driving."

"Okay…"

"Keys," said Lisa (Ghost) stretching her hand to receive the keys.

After that, they got into Anne's car and led the van to her place. They got home and thank goodness Lisa (Ghost) was the one who kept all the documents, she handed everything necessary for traveling and a few clothes. The guys didn't waste too much time they then left just after getting what they needed. After checking and seeing that everything was in order and in place they then headed back for Flo's house.

"So where are they taking her?"

"The lesser you know the better," said Lisa speeding the car, she didn't want to have such kind of conversation with Flo and she just wanted to arrive home.

"So, you didn't even care to follow them so that we can see Tasha off and also make sure that she is safe and sound."

"The moment she got into the black van, her safety was 100% guaranteed, you should stop worrying about her and worry about yourself."

"Huh, is that a heads up or you are threatening me?"

"If you keep this up, I will have an impression that intelligence makes one stupid, also can you be quiet I'm driving and also tired."

Flo couldn't say much, the other party wasn't interested in any sort of chatting, this version of Lisa was giving her a hard time. From that moment onwards they both didn't talk to each other until they reached home. It was already midnight, they only talked about what they would eat and also about the sleeping arrangement. After having a light meal and taking a quick shower they then retired to bed. Early in the morning, Flo received an email about her suspension that was going to last for a month and she had to report to work later the following day for a meeting.

(Continuously knocking) "Hey, Lisa… I mean Ghost, hey wake up I have got to tell you something. Why aren't you answering are you okay? Hey, I am coming in."

(Irritated and sounding sleepy) "Go away, I need to sleep. Why are you so annoying, if you can't sleep just do something, do something with your life."

"I…I didn't mean to disturb you but I have a problem…"

"Spit it."

(Still standing by the door) "Can I come in?"

(Annoyed) "It's your house, do as you wish."

Flo took that as a yes and got into the room. She found Lisa (Ghost) sleeping on her tummy and her eyes were closed.

"Are you sleeping?"

(With a cold voice) "Hey stupid doctor, if you don't want to talk why did you wake me up?" She said without opening her eyes or even changing her sleeping position.

"Well, I have been suspended for a month, I guess doctor Ed filed a complaint about me and also informed the higher-ups about the previous events. I also think that he exaggerated because a normal suspension lasts for only two weeks and that is the maximum."

(Not bothered) "Very well then, you should take this time to rest and get yourself together. Let's see how things will go when Anne arrives."

"Sure."

(Irritated) "Anything else?"

"Yeah, speaking about Anne, I remember you said her nickname is Midnight, but the guys that came yesterday said they are also Midnight, I am confused, do you mind enlightening me?"

(Annoyed) "You don't know how to give up, isn't it? I told you before, the lesser you know the better, it was so wrong of Lisa to tell you about that and I apologize. You do not want to follow instructions but let me be honest with you (sitting straight), The information that you want to know about will put your life in danger. (Disappointed) "But am I not part of you guys?"

"You are part of the family, not Midnight, so for your safety better stay out of it. Also, I know you talk too much but don't say anything out of line when Anne arrives. Do not provoke her, I guess you don't want me to tell you the consequences."

(Feeling wronged and disappointed) "Honestly I am not happy about being kept in the dark, I have a feeling that you guys don't trust me at all."

"Then fake it until you make it sweetheart, remember to close the door behind you." She said covering her head with the sheet.

Flora left the room helpless; the situation was making her feel more uneasy and nervous. She realized that she didn't know her friends as she thought she did, also they were not simple people and no matter how much she tried she wasn't going to get anything from them. However, she vowed in her heart not to give up, she might not get all the information that she needs to know but at least she has to try to know a little. Lisa(Ghost) spent the whole day in her room, the only moment she would come out was when she felt like eating. Doctor Flo spent the day tidying her house and putting all things in place, the only moment that they sat together was during dinner time.

"Are you avoiding me?" Said Flo as she sat down to eat.

"Not at all I just need to get enough rest because the days coming ahead are not going to be easy."

"Oh."

That's what they only talked about during dinner time and the rest was silence until they retired to their rooms. Later, at midnight they were woken by the sound of the alarm, and it was clear that someone had broken into the house.
