Deranged maniac who is also barbaric

"Should we call the boss?" Asked Hacker after a long sigh.

"Negative, you know that's against the mission's rules (That is because whenever when the mission code is Eclipse no more discussions are allowed, it's just execution and results.) Besides, the boss is also monitoring everything from wherever she is and I bet her silence means she is waiting to see how we will take care of this situation. Remember we have a maximum of 30 minutes to do this mission so we better decide right now."

"Fine let's take them both," said Hacker in confidence.

Kali wasn't surprised by this kind of suggestion because that's also what she was thinking. She had worked with Hacker on most of the missions and what made them compatible partners was that their manner of thinking was quite alike and they were able to work smoothly together without getting into each other's way.

"Let's execute," she said in agreement.

Whilst Hacker and Kali were still making their decisions, Flo and Scar were already inside the house.

"Let me go and freshen up, I need to put on something comfortable, I will join you soon. You are not a visitor so you may go on and help yourself with anything." Said Flo with no intention to sit down.

Flo was trying to be tolerant as well as friendly because she didn't want to raise the other person's suspicion also that way, she could hide how nervous and also scared she was.

"Okay love," said Scar as he proceeded to the fridge.

(Back to Hacker and Kali's side)

They took two small kits one for each, and in every kit, there were white cloths containing a drug as well as injections that had the same drug. Mainly the purpose of these items was to make a target lose his/her consciousness. They quickly got off their van and rushed to Flo's door.

(Knocking)

(Shouting) "Darling someone's at the door, are you expecting any visitors!?" Asked Scar who was sitting on the couch in the lounge enjoying some fruits that he had found in the fridge.

"No, but I guess it could be one of my neighbors, can you please help me get that," said Flo shouting back.

"Can you check on the cameras!?" Asked Scar because he was kind of hesitant to open the door, his sixth sense was sensing that something wasn't right.

"They stopped working yesterday and I have been looking forward to getting them fixed during the weekend (That is because Hacker had disabled them since the Midnight group was the one that installed them so tampering with the cameras was easy)."

"Oh, okay but that is dangerous you know!" Said Scar as he walked towards the door.

He got to the door and looked into the small glassy hole that was on the door but he couldn't see the appearance of the person outside properly, though it was clear that she was a woman because of the light-colored long her. (It was Kali who was standing in front of the door, she had removed her mask and handed it over to Hacker who was hiding away from the door. She was too close to the door so Scar couldn't see her full body just her face but still, he couldn't get a proper look, her face was kind of fuzzy through the hole and that's because Hacker had just put a transparent sticker and that same sticker would deter the other party to see properly through the hole).

"Who is it?" Asked Scar with one of his eyes still looking through the hole.

"Good evening, sorry to bother you I am Flo's neighbor and I need a hand with something." Said Kali with a voice that was full of worry and desperation (that is also another advantage of hers, she is so good at acting and pretending).

"What is it?" Said Scar with a cold voice.

"It's ladies' stuff, sir, can I come in and talk to Flo please?"

(Annoyed) "I'm a doctor too so there is nothing to be shy about."

"No, it's personal, I don't know you, I know Flora Nicker, so may I come in please?"

Because the other person had mentioned Flora's surname and also, she sounded worried and desperate, Scar then let his guard down. The moment he unlocked the door and moved its handle down, someone pushed it open (That was Kali), which made him stagger since he didn't expect that. The moment he was about to bring himself together, he was immediately attacked by two people (Kali had quickly taken her mask from Hacker so her face was covered) who pinned him to the floor, and in no time, Hacker had put the cloth with a drug on his nose and he lost consciousness.

Flora, was still in her room she had finished freshening up minutes ago but then just the thought of what was coming next made her stay in her room a bit longer as she tried to compose herself. On the other hand, after Hacker and Kali were done dealing with Scar, they then split to look for Flo in the rooms. Their footsteps drew Flo's attention and she also wanted to check the person who wanted to see her.

(Closing the door of her room and walking towards the lounge) Scar…

She couldn't finish what she wanted to say, Kali who had just come out of the room that was opposite hers, sneakily came from behind and quickly covered her mouth and nose with the cloth that was in her hand. The moment she lost consciousness; Kali picked her up as she walked toward the exit.

"Let's go," instructed Kali.

Hacker quickly picked Scar, but he struggled a bit because the other person wasn't just a man, but someone who takes care of his body, and that includes going to the gym. In a few minutes they were out of Flo's house and they had put both their targets at the back of the van. They checked around to see if there was anyone who saw them but it seemed like no one was around, so they just skipped the instructions of having eyewitnesses, got in the car, and drove to their meeting place like crazy. The moment they got into the car, Kali then infested a bug into all the street cameras' systems, they had someone secretly planted in the headquarters of the security before and they had the access to do as they please. This bug was going to take about 2 hours to deal with and by that time they were so sure that they would be done with the mission.

They got to the meeting place just as they had planned and found Ghost in a ready mood and mode. They didn't say much, all they did was get dressed in the clothes that Ghost had brought, but there were some changes. The clothes that Hacker was wearing were given to Scar, and Flo was given the clothe that Ghost had brought. Also, Kali was the only one who had to use a different route, Ghost and Hacker were taking the same since they were both going to carry people on their bikes. Kali helped them with the sitting arrangement and they also used a rope to tie, Scar and Flo's hands as well as their bodies around Hacker and Ghost respectively so that they wouldn't fall. It was a bit dangerous but that was the only option. Once Hacker and Ghost had left, Kali burnt all the tools that they used including, her laptop, Ghost's laptop, and the white van, and she quickly left the scene. Hacker and Ghost used the shortcut that would lead to their second base, fortunately, no one saw them because that route was quite scary, and most scary things had happened along that road which is why many people avoided it. They successfully arrived at their destination without any failure or disturbances, Ghost used the remote that she had to open the garage and in no time they were inside. Ghost then untied Flo's hands followed by the body and so did Hacker to Scar. In a few minutes, they were inside the house, they put Flo and Scar into separate rooms and they waited for Kali's arrival. In an hour, Kali arrived safe and sound.

(Sitting down) "I have checked around the area and nothing seems to be out of place I guess this mission was a total success," said Kali crossing her legs.

"That call for celebration then, we need to drink to that," said Ghost heading to the fridge, she brought 12 bottles of beer and everyone got 4 bottles each. BEFORE WE DRINK WHAT DO WE SAY?" Said Ghost in command.

(In unison) "NO MATTER HOW DRUNK I GET I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT MIDNIGHT IS HOME AND I WOULD NEVER LET ALCOHOL USE ME TO BETRAY MY HOME." Said both Hacker and Kali holding bottles of alcohol in their hands and their eyes fixed on their bottles.

(Opening her bottle) "It's good that you remember that, it is very important." Said Ghost

They began to drink, celebrating their success as well as relaxing

(Hesitant) "Boss,"

(Not paying attention) "mhmm.''

(Avoiding eye contact) "You... you haven't told us yet why you rushed us to leave The Midnight (Anne) that day…"

(Chuckling) "I was waiting for that question. Anyway, have you ever heard about a deranged maniac who is also barbaric?"

(No answer)

"From the training you guys got, I am sure by now you understand who The Midnight is right?"

"Yeah," said Kali, Hacker was just listening because he is a man of few words.

"If we had stayed that day, we might have ended up losing either an eye, leg, arm, or even worse our lives. The Midnight is someone who doesn't consider relations, if she feels like killing you, she can do that without thinking twice. She becomes more dangerous whenever she gets into something like a trance which is mostly triggered by self-blame especially when she is about to lose someone she loves so dearly. Once she gets out of that pit, she turns into a beast and her reasoning will not be functioning properly, such that all she will be thinking about is destroying only. Now the situation would have been made worse by our faces because I'm sure you are aware that we failed our duties. We couldn't protect Tasha and by the time The Midnight came into this country, we hadn't done anything. She might not want to say it but she is very angry at us, that's why I had to rush us out otherwise we would have fed her sharp blades with our blood."

(Curious) "Does The Midnight ever use guns?" Asked Kali

(Smiling) "Never, she always says that a bullet is not easy to control but a knife is, but she does carry one though for emergencies. Enough with this discussion, I am sure I have cleared the air but don't tell Danger, also let her out tomorrow morning."

"Yes boss," said Hacker because he knew Ghost was talking to him.
