Chapter 12

“You’re right. I am taking more notice of you now.”

Alain mirrored Marc’s brilliant smile. Simon was now in closer quarters, close enough to touch to his heart’s content. He settled for only the casual glance as he caressed Marc’s arm, however, his knuckles brushing along Simon’s chest, his fingertips occasionally meeting bare skin

“I think I could stay like this all night,” he remarked. “You, Marc?”

Marc nodded, though his eyes remained intent on Simon.

“It’s a pity, then, that your food is going to be done in just a few minutes. We won’t be quite so cozy at the dinner table.”

“We can come back out here after we eat,” Marc said eagerly.

Alain met Simon’s gaze over the young man’s head, unable to conceal his amusement. “You heard him. We’ll just come back out afterward.”

Simon smiled. “That’s fine with me. We can spend all night out here in the garden, gazing up at the stars, and talking about Paris.”

“Or we could spend all night out here doing other things.”
