In lady's room
Ruby started walking toward David's chamber. She needed to inform him of everything and talked with the girl who found out about Rita's body first. But in the middle of the path, she met those two maids, who were ordered to bring that girl there.
"Sister Ruby." They spoke out when they spotted Ruby.
Ruby halted there as she heard them. They ran toward Ruby and informed her, "Sister, we will bring her. She did not want to come; we actually forced her to come here and locked her inside a chamber. She was crying and screaming."
Ruby arched her brows and said in a surprised tone, "Why is she doing it?" She had a thoughtful look, but suddenly those maids asked while looking at her hands, "What is it, sister?"
Ruby kept a glance at her hand and uttered after a second, "We found it in the lady's chamber."
One of them widened her eyes, came near, and touched it. She said as she touched it, "Is this a snake skin?"
Ruby sighed and said, "Maybe or maybe not."
