"Mr. Valac? Mr. Valac? I brought you a fresh…"
Crystal's voice faded and her cheeks tinted a shade darker than usual as her eyes landed on Valac.
She took a quiet step into the chamber, clutching a folded towel against her chest. Her slender fingers trembled slightly, and she quickly bit down on her lower lip to steady herself.
There Valac was, lying peacefully in the glowing water of the Pool of Lumina, strands of his damp hair falling messily over his eyes, casting shadows across his chiseled features.
Even asleep, he seemed so effortlessly charming and something else...vulnerability, maybe? Crystal couldn't remember her reason for visiting anymore, and her heart did a little flip at the sight as her chest rose and fell.
